Chapter 1195: Final Thoughts from Trinity and the Author

Peace. Finally, after this last year with all the craziness that had happened, after the heartache and pain, the happiness and joy, the losses and the gains, the hard time and the good, we finally have a semblance of peace in our lives. I have been longing for this, looking forward to times when I didn't need to worry as much. Since August of last year, we have been wary and on edge.
And now we are able to relax.
It's been ten months since it all started to happen, the Jaegan and then the reveal that had come with its own set of problems. And h.e.l.l, it was actually only eight months of issues for us. Nine if you date back to the first of the murders, but only eight that we actively knew about it all.
Thinking about it all now, yeah there was a lot that happened all at once, but it was hardly all that we had had to deal with over the years. I was thirty-nine years old. It has been twenty-one years since I met Reece, twenty years that we have been married, and almost twenty years since I became a mom for the first time. That was still almost six months away.
When I remember the days when I first met Reece, when I thought that he was just an angry alpha that didn't want to ever see me again, that had been the night that he literally tripped over me and landed on top of me at the party. Then everyone got mad at me because I stayed at Juniper's for the night and didn't tell them.
Also, I was attacked by that rogue on the way home, Reece had saved me that time as well.
From that day on, I have lived with Reece, though not always willingly. In fact, that night I had tried to run away, and Reece stopped me. That was the first time that he called me Little Bunny, and I hated it with a pa.s.sion. And that's part of the reason why I called him Fido. And while I continued to call him dog names, he stuck with Little Bunny, and it's become his affectionate name for me.
I will admit, I actually kind of like it now.
In the beginning, the biggest problem we had was who was after me and why. Reece thought it was because of his status as an Alpha, and that one of his enemies was after me. And while there was an enemy of his working with the bad guy, it was my father that was after me. And oh what a trip that was. The fight that led to me getting my wolf and finding the traitors, it was crazy.
Then, I got engaged, got pregnant, got married, fought my father, lost the baby, killed my father, got pregnant again, and had Reagan and Rika. Oh, and let's not forget that during that time I found out that I was the G.o.ddess Incarnate, the Luna Queen, and the leader to all the s.h.i.+fters in the world. And Thoth made me the Queen to all the magic users as well.
It was a lot of responsibility for me at the time.
It wasn't until I went to the Fae realm for the second time, found out that Queen Gloriana and her brother Valerian were related to me. That I was Valerian's great great great granddaughter. They helped me build my kingdom, having had practice with that for a long time. And, ever since then, I have had a functioning kingdom that spans the entire world. It wasn't all peaceful though.
One of Aunt Glory's friends was killing Fae and needed to be stopped, but she was being manipulated and controlled by Valerian's, or Athair mòr, ex-wife. And that makes her my great great great grandmother. Talk about a blight on the family tree.
I had to kill that relative of mine, but I did so with a little bit of help from Antirrhinum, my great great grandfather who died in the war hundreds of years ago. He helped me to stop the evil from spreading. And there was another time that a relative of mine helped me stop yet another relative that was h.e.l.l bent on taking over the world.
Oh, this time, h.e.l.l was an actual part of it. I was in the underworld, metaphysically, and it was there that I came face to face with truths about myself and the world. There are bad parts in all of us. And the choices that we make, no matter how n.o.ble they may seem, can have widespread consequences that we do not know about.
The relative in h.e.l.l that I had needed to stop was another grandmother of sorts. You see, Thoth and his wife, Hekate, had created the entire race of witches and warlocks. And all the other magic users in the world. Hekate, a G.o.ddess of darkness and death, was doing bad things to the humans and needed to be stopped.
She had been locked in the underworld for a long time, but she thought I would help her escape.
Surprisingly enough, I saw my father in the underworld. He was there for his punishment, as he well should have been, but he was different. He had seen that he was wrong. He was clear minded for the first time since his youth. And he knew that his actions were reprehensible.
In a moment of dire need, in the furthest depths of the underworld, part of the true version of h.e.l.l that we think of it as, I was fighting with Hekate. With me were two guards from the underworld that were helping me, and the souls of the three babies that I was pregnant with. Reagan and Rika were almost eight and Talia, our third baby, was four.
And I was actually pregnant with four babies, but the little girl didn't have a soul yet. Just the boys that were with me.
There was a point when the boys were in danger and needed to be saved, and it was none other than my father, Gannon Edmond, that saved them. He let his soul be destroyed to save them. Only it didn't destroy his soul. Instead, he was sent for rebirth and his soul was the one that my little girl, Zaley, ended up with. My father stopped suffering, and his soul had another chance at a good life.
We had ten years of peace after that. Ten years where nothing at all happened. At least, almost nothing happened. It was that time, after ten years, when the Jaegan started their killing spree and all these bad times came upon us for one of the hardest years we had had in quite a long time. In all honesty, with all that happened lately, it might have been the worst of our time.
It was hard to tell who was worse, my father, or the combined efforts of the Jaegan and the DOE. A lot of people died in both times, and there was fear all around.
At least it was over now. There was still some strife, as there was likely to be with the world adjusting to life with us in it. Still, we were able to live safely at the moment, and that was what mattered. The kids could go to school, Reagan, Rika, and Talia were all going off to college in the fall. And there were so many more babies being born into our ever expanding family. Times were looking up.
And now, with them becoming adults in their own rights, it was time for us to let the kids live their lives. It was time for them to be the ones that took the spotlight. Reece and I are more than ready to take a backseat to let them be who they are meant to be. It's their time to s.h.i.+ne now.

Note from the Author
h.e.l.lo everyone, Deni Chance here. First and foremost, thank you. Thank you all for reading this story of mine. Thank you for sticking with it through all 1,195 chapters, not counting the 2 auxiliary chapters that explain things, I am not counting those for the chapters. I want to thank you all for the comments, the gifts, the reviews, and the support. You readers are who I did all of this for.
When I first started this story back in 2020, I thought that it would be one quick story about Trinity and Reece, and their struggles to become a proper couple. However, about halfway through the first volume I knew that it needed more. The story was talking to me more and telling me where it wanted to go.
And it was at that point, when I was wrapping up the first volume, that I knew exactly how many volumes this book was going to have. And I knew at that time what the base premise of each volume was going to be about. However, I was just as shocked as the rest of you as I was writing the story, it was constantly leading me down paths that I hadn't expected.
Not that it was necessarily a bad thing though. It was exciting and I have loved writing this story.
Trinity and Reece have been through a lot over the years, the three years that I have been writing them and the twenty-one years in their story. I have incorporated some real life incidents in the story, and several made up ones as well. I tried to keep a lot of things as realistic as possible, such as the medical issues and events, and others are obviously fantastical.
This is a fantasy novel, so it was within reason that I was able to alter things to my own liking.
It is also worth noting that all except for three or four cities in this story are real. Even Kanorado is real. That was a little place that I thought would be perfect for hiding because there were not a lot of people that would be able to report them. The same goes with Benkelman, Nebraska. Real place, just described in my own mind more than a personal experience there.
Also, I have never been to Colorado Springs, Colorado. I have looked at maps and used some real locations, but for most places, the stores and restaurants are all fictional. That will go with all of my stories. Sadly, Franny's was never a real place, but I would have loved to have eaten there. It was a place that felt so friendly and welcoming to me.
I know that a lot of you have laughed, cried, screamed, cheered, and so much more on this journey with Trinity and Reece. I have done the same as I put so much time and effort into this story. This story is a big part of my soul that I am a little sad to see coming to an end. It is bittersweet because I have written it nearly everyday for the last three years, and stopping is going to hurt.
All is not lost though. There is a sequel coming very soon. The sequel, Chosen Legacy, will follow the children of Trinity and Reece, Shawn and Dietrich, Shane and Falena, David and Rawlynne, and all the others. The youngest of the children that will be included in the sequel will be the quads, Zachary, Zander, Zayden, and Zaley.
I feel that making the next book last nearly twenty years will be too much, but it's only a little over six years for the quads to come of age.
I hope that you are all looking forward to this next book, and that you are all thinking about who it might be that the kids are going to mate with. I know that some of you already have some ideas for a few of them, but the answers will be revealed in the stories themselves.
Please join me in the next great adventure within the Chosen universe. Follow along with Reagan, Rika, Lyssa, Alexa, Levi, Luka, and so many more. The story will be out soon, if it's not already out by the time that you read this. And thank you all once again. You have no idea how much it means to me that you have all made it to this point.
Yours truly,
Deni Chance
