Chapter 1540: Shooting

Sam stood with the cannon his hand as he smiled from ear to ear.

Giyon and Grivon quickly came running.

"You are having fun without us?" Grivon asked as he looked at him with a frown.

"It is not like you guys are going to partic.i.p.ate anyway. It is mostly me shooting down and it doesn't matter if there are spectators or not."

"Well, we are getting bored. So, doing something like this is fun. Your toys are sucking the joy out of the battle for us."

"No, they are saving the already scarce offspring of Gaja clan. You are welcome."

"Yeah, whatever you can take your credit. So, how about we talk about this cannon in your hands? Why is it different than the others?"

Giyon asked as she looked at it hungrily. She is very intrigued about the cannon. And since she can see what these things can do, she is even more intrigued by this.

"Well, if you guys shut up and let me do what I wanted to do, you will see."

After saying those words, he aimed the cannon at the gliders that are moving around.

They are like eagles in the sky as they used the thrusters and the wings to maneuver themselves with extreme agility and dexterity.

It would be hard for a person to move on the land like that and it is impossible to have that much control over the limbs even on normal ground battle.

But currently they are dancing in the air.

"That is so cool." Grivon said casually. He really liked how those wings worked and how that armour is supporting them.

But the next second, he felt some energy gathering beside him. The cannon started glowing as the energy gathered in the chamber.

*BAM*

A small explosion was heard as they an energy bullet was shot.

The energy bullet hit one of the wings of a glider.

*BOOM*

The glider who is currently moving with his wings s.h.i.+ning and about to cut a beast with wind blades suddenly lost his balance.

He looked at his left wing.

Even though there is an explosive sound, actually the wing didn't break completely, instead the energy stuck to the wing and expanded all over it through the ripples and then exploded with the void styles.

The armour started cracking down and the person crashed down into the ground.

*AAHHHHH…."

The glider started screaming.

But soon he started controlling the fall and tried to cus.h.i.+on the impact, but before he could do that, he saw an energy bullet zooming at his face.

*BAM*

His screams stopped and the face cracked open with blood. The facial muscles were exposed along with the skull and the void style explosion of the ripples are happening inside the skull cracking it open.

A Middle-stage Consummate cultivator was crashed into the earth just like that and left a large crater.

But he didn't move.

He couldn't feel his surroundings. He didn't see anything. His sense of touch is gone. He vision is gone. His hearing is gone. And finally he felt his whole body going limb and his organs failing one after the other.

Soon, even the internal pain is gone.

"Holy s.h.i.+t."

Grivon said out loud as he looked at the target through the telescope to get a clearer vision.

"What the f.u.c.k is that?"

"Pure energy and a clean headshot. That's what it is."

Sam said as he aimed the cannon at another glider and shot the bullet.

The gliders already saw one of their comrades falling down and noticed Sam's presence. The second target already changed directions and moved towards Sam. Since the dome is gone, he became more daring and he is also confident that the soldiers wouldn't use the wall sphere cannons because their members are there in the range as well.

The only reason he didn't go there is because he didn't want to be a target. But since Sam is attacking and he knew how big of a target is in this whole war, he became a bit tempted and wanted to take his chance.

But  as he moved forward, a few more energy bullets were shot from Sam's cannon. He avoided two of them cleanly and one of them brushed past him. At least he thought it brushed past him, but it exploded right after it went past his chest.

*BOOM*

He was blown to the side and felt his whole body being jerked off. He lost his balance and he had to focus on his thrusters and the glider wings to get his balance back.

But before he could do that.

*BOOM*

The bullet landed on his thruster of the leg. The leg exploded along with the thruster and the wind elemental energy mechanism that was used to create that thrust backfired big time and destroyed the leg until the hip.

The balance was off again and this time, Sam landed another headshot.

Two of the people were down.

"d.a.m.n, this is fun."

Giyon said with a smile as she looked at the cultivators who are on par with her and way stronger than Sam completely being destroyed like this.

"Of course it is."

Sam said casually as he shot another glider.

The gliders realized that their real trouble is not from the shooters on the beasts, but from the Sam standing on the freaking wall.

They didn't even know how to tackle him. Other than the long range attacks. No matter what they will do will impact them severely.

They could either fall target for Sam's shooting, the shooters can shoot them from behind or both. If it is the worst case scenario, they will have even more trouble with them being destroyed by the people from within the clan.

"I want to shoot it."

Giyon asked all of a sudden and Sam raised an eyebrow.

"You are not skilled in long range attacks. Aiming and shooting are not your forte."

"My dad is not that good too, but he is firing well. And I am not really that bad at aiming. Who at our level is actually bad at aiming? Tell me?"

"Well, in a way it makes sense. But he is your father. You are just you. It could be dangerous if you mess out, do you know that?"

"I still want to try."

Sam thought for a moment and fired another shot. He shot down another glider.

Now, the pressure is gone from the people that are attacking the shooters and only ambush team remaining.

"Now, can you guys handle the gliders yourselves?"

Sam asked the shooters.

"yes, boss. We are good."

The shooters replied and Sam looked at Giyon.

"Since you want to try, let's do it with stationary targets."

Giyon shrugged and Sam pointed at a direction.

"There is an ambush team there. They are the ones sneakily attacking the shooters and aiding the gliders. You need to calculate their location and kill them at the same time."

He said and started tweaking the inscriptions on the cannon a bit.

"Here, I changed the explosion range a bit more. It is not as concentrated as before, but the probability of you attacking them increases a lot and the damage will also increase more."

Sam said and handed over the cannon to her.

Giyon took the cannon and aimed it at the spot Sam pointed at. She looked for a spear to be shot out of that place and as soon as it did, she aimed at a certain spot and shot.

*BOOM*

An explosive sound came and a large energy bullet was sent out.

"How am I able to use energy bullets?"

"Well, the mechanism does much more than just infusing the ripple and void style. It also gathers the energy. It is mostly for amateurs though. If you are good at gathering energy into the bullet, it will be much more effective."

As they are casually speaking, the energy bullet reached its destination.

"BOOM*

*BOOOOM*

Two explosions occurred.

One of them is the explosion of energy bullet and a few trees and rocks were blown apart, which is something Sam already expected.

But what followed that was completely new to them. It is completely uncalled for.

Sam looked at the type of explosion that happened and frowned.

"What the h.e.l.l is that?"

He muttered and looked at it closely with the telescope and frown turned deeper. He immediately took the cannon and started shooting at a different spot.

*BOOM*

A few explosions occurred, but unlike before there is no ma.s.sive explosion. Sam immediately took out his communication device and contacted Clan's leader.

"I need two squads to make a move. An urgent matter."

"What is it about?"

"I need them to go and collect somethings from the place where the ambush teams of the Mari clan are present."

"Is it really that important? The spots are way too far away from the clan grounds."

"Yeah. If I am not wrong. There is another dangerous thing awaiting in the hands of Sivan. I want to be sure before I could think of any countermeasures."
