Chapter 1889: Meeting Finally
*BOOM*
The body of the Elite Giant exploded. But that explosion was not heard to anyone, in fact that explosion barely created any sound at all. It didn't even escape that pit.
Because the explosive energy was absorbed by the sphere completely. The sphere started glowing with volatile fluctuations and at the same time, the human puppets that were not moving for a few moments, started glowing once again.
The staves glowed. The holes in the heads of those staves are glowing even brighter. The skin and the illusion that made the puppets look like they are humans disappeared in an instant. The skeletal structure of the metallic puppets could be clearly seen.
All of its defensive formations were activated in a single second and ninety percent of them are destroyed because of the energy output.
*BOOM*
The puppets shot out the explosive beams. All of the puppets were destroyed just from the recoil of the shot.
As for the targets themselves…
The giants felt the threat for their lives. Never in a million years they would have imagined that such an attack would be targeted at them. They were still okay with the powerful beams that came before, but this time, at every spot this beam landed, a ma.s.sive explosion equivalent of self destruction of an Elite Giant happened.
And with over more than one hundred shots like that spreading over such a small area, it didn't take long before the whole surroundings turned into an apocalyptic s.p.a.ce.
Sam and Mitra are far away from that area. They are actually in the sky, with Sam on his hoverboard while Mitra standing on his beast as they looked down. From that position the explosion looked like a small dot.
But Mitra could see the intensity of the destruction that this explosion caused.
The earth shook. Half the planet has felt the tremors from that earthquake and that included the camp of the giants. In fact, they even felt the wave of energy that was caused by that gigantic explosion since they are not that far away.
Many of them saw the bright explosive display from the camp directly.
They were shook.
The commander in charge got messages from several giants.
"Commander, all the tokens of our group are crushed they are all dead."
"Commander, my squad was taken out. Is it because of the explosion."
"Commander.."
"Commander…"
Same message but in different ways came to him at the same time.
The commander felt like his soul left his body. He didn't expect such a ma.s.sive loss in this war.
He lost half of his troops. The western front is completely weak now. After all, the remaining half of the troops cannot hold much against the rest of the human camp. Not when the human camp is focusing highly on the western front.
The only solace that he has in this scenario is the forest. The forest is still on their side.
Meanwhile, Sam and Mitra didn't waste much of their time and went to the human camp.
"We have dealt with half of the army on the western front. The giant's camp on the west is now very much in a troublesome state. They don't have enough manpower to go against you."
Sam just gave those words to the commander in charge. Then he turned to Mitra and said.
"You give the remaining details. I need to go and relax a bit."
He left the tent without waiting for anyone else's reply and went back to his a.s.signed tent. He laid down on the bed and stretched his body lazily as he truly tried to relax.
Mitra gave out the details in the meeting room.
Of course, not all the details about how they dealt with them, just that they dealt with them. The number of giants that were killed by them and other stuff.
"How did you guys do it? You kind of skipped over it."
"It is not for me to say. That guy did it."
"Alone? By himself?"
"Yes."
"You must have seen it by his side? Don't tell me, you had your f.u.c.king eyes closed the whole time. What weapon does he have that he can deal with so many people at the same time?"
"As I said, it is not for me to say. If you really want to know, you can go ahead and ask him. In fact, even though I have seen it with my own eyes, I can't even begin to understand what happened there."
The elders tried to pressure him and get him to release some more details. But Mitra didn't budge.
"Sam has a suggestion for you guys."
"What is it?"
"He said that we should focus all of our efforts on the Eastern side for now."
"Eastern side? I know that based on the situation it looks like we should focus there, but the problem is the forest on the eastern side is much more vast and dense. We confirmed that we are facing the same issue there as we are facing on the western side.
It might be hard for us to deal with them particularly with the rear still occupied by the giants.
I think we need to deal with the giants on the western front. That way, we could expand to the rear and have more breathing s.p.a.ce to fight with the eastern side."
The commander in chief said after some thinking.
"I know that you will think that way. But to defeat people on either side, the forest should be dealt with and Sam said he will be able to do that if you focus on the Eastern front."
"And how is he going to do that?"
"Once again, it is not for me to say. Just fight a battle of attrition on the Eastern Side. Try to destroy the forest, give the giants some trouble. Just leave the western side alone.
Anyway, those guys wouldn't make a move with that many people lost."
With that, Mitra left.
After that, both Sam and Mitra left the camp and went to the western forest.
"So, what is our plan next?"
"I left some things in the soil all over the western side, including the giant's camp. It is time to put them to use again."
"Is it going to be another giant machine and formation that creates destruction?"
"No, not exactly. This time we are going much more natural."
"How?"
"You will see."
Sam and Mitra walked to the edge of the forest.
He gathered wood elemental divine energy at his finger tips and snapped his fingers.
*SNAP*
The energy moved in a wave and hit the whole forest. It is not much and there is no way in h.e.l.l that it could destroy anything. But the wave of wood elemental energy created a small reaction throughout the forest.
Many glowing dots appeared in the whole forest. Gra.s.s started shooting out and soon they turned into vines.
The vines spread towards the nearest trees. The trees started glowing with wood elemental energy and their color seemed to have changed. They looked almost same as before the vines intersected with them, but there is a very unnoticeable different in the color of its leaves.
Sam closed his eyes as he felt the whole transformation happen.
"It is happening. Let's get in."
Sam said as he walked forward. The trees started bending to the side, clearing the way for him. Mitra was stunned as he looked at the sudden change.
They walked to the middle of the forest where the vines coiled together to create two chairs. Sam sat on one comfortably, while Mitra felt a bit troubled. He is still afraid of these forests based on how they managed to corner so many humans.
"Don't worry. For now the forest is mine. Nothing will happen to you."
Mitra hesitantly sat down.
Sam poured some vine for both of them.
"How are you doing? It hasn't been that long, but it feels like a long time."
Sam suddenly spoke. Mitra looked around in confusion.
At that moment, a vine not too far away from them coiled and turned in to a face of a woman, Mitra didn't recognize. But Sam sure did.
"Not too bad, until you showed up. a.s.shole."
Noah cursed coldly.
Sam chuckled and said.
"Come on, you were doing great. I remember seeing your mission, I am pretty sure you are way over three fourth of the mission target. You wouldn't have a hard time finis.h.i.+ng it even with my interference."
"Of course, I won't have a hard time, but it will waste a lot of my time. Why do you have to do this?"
"My mission is a bit straightforward, but it is a game of numbers. If I want to achieve it, I kind of have to disrupt every battlefield on the planet. Couldn't help it."
"It seems like you are doing well then. You f.u.c.ked up the whole western front that I painstakingly worked on. What is your next plan? And who is that guy? His mouth is wide open for way too long."
