"W-What did you do?!" the demon questioned in disbelief.

But Hao Xuan only clicked his tongue in disappointment, "Tsk, not weak enough yet. Guess it really can't be avoided."

He recalled the entire set of the 'Ashuras Grand Compendious: The 64 Palms of Infernal Flame' and quickly went down the list to pick a one-handed technique that was best suited given the current circ.u.mstances.

"This one will do very well," he decided on one.

The chaos energy began circulating throughout his body doing full rounds before reaching his left hand. After the first round his entire hand was covered in a layer of thick greyish energy making it appear as if he was wearing a translucent glove.

After the energy did a second round, a weak high pitched noise began to sound from his hand. And every time he moved it would become louder and increase in intensity for the duration of the movement.

It was similar to the scream of a banshee only kicked up a few decibels.

The smaller creatures felt the effect instantly as they were disorientated before Hao Xuan had even attacked. Even the demon had to close off an ear while screaming at him.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

Hao Xuan brought the hand in front of his chest making a Buddhist hand gesture by folding the ring and little fingers while the forefinger and middle finger pointed towards the open sky.

The wailing sound was almost entirely snuffed allowing the demon to focus on Hao Xuan again as he spoke up.

"I have never used this technique before either so we're both in the same boat. But it is the last move set that combines all of the first eleven techniques so it shouldn't be too bad. You should prepare yourself, it will be quick."

The demon took Hao Xuan's advice to heart and immediately ordered the smaller creatures to attack the moment they regained control of their bodies.

"TEAR HIM TO PIECES!"

Snarling and sniveling they jumped into action, coming alive at the mere thought of drawing blood.

They surrounded him from all sides before jumping at him while swinging their hooks and bladed limbs. Meanwhile, the demon seamlessly hid amongst the smaller creatures to the point that it was impossible for anyone to point it out.

Even its appearance changed to match those of the smaller creatures while the black clouds within their bodies extended outwards to join with one another, creating an interconnected net that was controlled only by the demon itself.

Not only could it take place of any of the smaller creatures at will by physically replacing them in an instant, but it could also transfer its true form to the bodies of any of the smaller creatures. That's where its true strength lay.

? Rather than one physical form it had over three dozen because any of the creatures could be used as a vessel when the need arose.

The creatures attacked from all sides but one, purposefully leaving an opening so he could dodge there. The demon grinned victoriously because it could already see Hao Xuan being cut in half the moment he tried to dodge.

Its arms began to extend and warp to mimic the appearance of its true form, looking more like vicious claws than anything else. It couldn't really use any of its true powers but just by possessing a vessel for a limited period of time it could increase its physical strength to the peak of the Spirit Realm.

And that alone was enough to cut any unsuspecting victims in half.

But the moment it was so ardently waiting for never came. Just when the blades were about to strike the chaos energy completed its twelfth rotation around his body and Hao Xuan mumbled something under his breath. .

"12th Form: The Last Wail!"

He spun around on the spot while holding the palm of his hand to the front.

The crying sound which had been sounding in the background all this time suddenly exploded with an intensity that no one expected, not even Hao Xuan himself. It was loud enough to leave him defeaned so one could imagine how harmful it was to the others.

It wasn't a physical phenomenon so without ample spiritual energy there was no way to block the 'sound wave' that was created as a result.

Hao Xuan moved faster than any of the smaller creatures could possibly hope to react and struck out a total of twelve times in all directions.

Every time he made physical contact with a creature the shape of his hand was imprinted on its body and all the compressed chaos energy was released in a single concentrated burst.

Their bodies began to erode from the inside out and by the time the demon reacted Hao Xuan was about to unleash the second round of 'Palm Strikes'.
