"He already has someone," she replied smilingly which caught Dai Yuan off guard.

She hugged Ceni's arm and placed her head on her shoulder.

*Sigh*

"That's never easy...when they have someone else. How did you two meet?"

Ceni looked up at the moon once again as she recalled the first time she met Hao Xuan.

The s.h.i.+p was about to leave for the academy in three days.

It was a warm spring morning. Ceni was sitting in her room in front of a mirror, carelessly playing with the newly obtained gold bracelet on her left wrist.

There was a red envelope and a card on the table next to her which read: "You are cordially invited to attend Princess Lea's engagement ceremony this Friday."

Lea was one of her many half-sisters that was getting married off to another clan. She wasn't very close to her but it reminded Ceni of her predicament.

"Did you not find anyone yet?" she mumbled to herself.

Her reflection in the mirror suddenly changed. Its eyes turned into a ma.s.s of swirling blackness as it spoke with a low hum.

"We have been looking but it's not easy to find someone that fulfills all the requirements."

Ceni who was still looking at the bracelet exhaled deeply.

"Why can't you just use a powerful cultivator for it? Won't anyone do?"

The reflection frowned.

"Do you think it's that easy? Your own bloodline is powerful enough with your old man having awakened the Ancient Vampire Lord's true memories buried deep inside his DNA, but with the addition of the Blood Demon Tribe's bloodline into the mix from us, no normal cultivator would be able to handle it."

"We could, of course, try to kidnap one of those Holy Son's or Daughters who have powerful Physiques and const.i.tutions but your clan won't take the risk and my followers are busy elsewhere. The only real option we have is to find someone with the bloodline of those d.a.m.ned monsters, the Lycanthropes."

"Their bloodline doesn't need to be active which is a good thing. Even a sliver of lycan blood will be enough to jump-start your sleeping bloodline. Since Vampires and Lycans have always been at odds, even their bloodlines evolved to the point where they naturally react to one another."

"And if you only carried your father's bloodline there wouldn't be a problem but it's your mother's that is making everything so complicated."

Ceni paused and looked up at the reflection with a doubtful gaze.

"My mother's bloodline? She didn't tell me anything about that."

The reflection smirked.

"Do you think a woman with no background and no history would be able to marry someone like your father? Even if she was the most beautiful girl in existence it still wouldn't be enough. It's her bloodline that made her so attractive to him, literally. Your mother is a pureblood succubus, a demonkin that is able to control and influence the other gender with just a look and a thought."

"She's like a drug to your father. And if he hadn't awakened the vampire lord's bloodline that granted him almost inexhaustible blood essence, he would have died a long time ago with his head in between her legs, hehehe.." the reflection laughed with a lecherous look in its eyes, making Ceni look away in disgust.

"So....mother is a demon?" she asked. The reflection replied confidently.

"One hundred percent. And a strong one to boot. If I'm correct she also gained a lot of benefits from your father and has gotten much stronger. I don't think anyone other than your father is her match raw power-wise in the same generation. And you little girl-" the reflection paused and looked towards Ceni with an evil smile, "-are their only child."

"The child of a demon and a pure-blood vampire. Your bloodlines are both extremely powerful, always fighting for supremacy with one another. That's why neither has awakened yet and won't if nothing is done."

"All we have to do is take your blood essence and that of the Blood Demon Tribes and put it inside a Lycan's body. The lycan blood will act as a reactive agent and force your vampire bloodline awake. The Blood Demon tribe's bloodline will act both as a catalyst and a strengthening agent to make your vampiric blood stronger, giving it a boost and bringing it ever so close to the original one."

"This is the best way. The succubus bloodline will become the support and the Vampire bloodline will take control, giving you benefits of both. Unfortunately, for the poor creature who's body is done all this in will be crippled. If he or she is lucky then a swift death is the best option. If not, they will be left a drooling mess at best haha-"

The reflection suddenly froze mid laughter. The swirling ma.s.s in its eyes thickening and thinning on its own.. Ceni turned back around and looked at it with a frown.
