Chapter 63 - New Visitor

Hao Xuan was silently prowling along the tree branches when he suddenly heard a loud woos.h.i.+ng sound from above. He looked up and saw several dots getting bigger and bigger.

"Hmm? The h.e.l.l is that?" he thought inwardly and stopped moving completely. The noise got louder and louder until bam!

*Crash*

Four loud cras.h.i.+ng sounds came from all around him and everything went silent.

"Come out," said a loud voice authoritatively. Hao Xuan stayed still and didn't make a move or the slightest of sounds.

"You triggered a trap when you entered the jungle. Every move you made was seen by us. There is no use hiding, we came especially for you. Our boss wants to talk to you. Come out quietly otherwise we WILL have to break a few bones for the extra work you'll make us put in," said another voice but this one sounded much younger.

"Trap my a.s.s, they're bluffing," Hao Xuan still didn't make a move.

*Sigh*

"Go get him," said the first once again and Hao Xuan went on full alert.

"Yes," a third voice from Hao Xuan's left said and he suddenly heard a cracking sound. He looked to the left and saw a giant hand just a few feet away from him.

"WHAT!?!" without hesitating he took out a sword and channeled some Qi into and slashed at the hand with full force.

*BOOM*

As soon as his slash connected with the hand, it exploded but the hand continued towards him uninterrupted.

"The h.e.l.l is it made off," Hao Xuan's heartbeat quickened and he completely gave up trying to hide and jumped out of the cl.u.s.ter of tree's and into an opening nearby.

As soon as he landed on the ground four figures also silently appeared on each side, surrounding him completely.

"Who are you? What do you want? I don't have any money," Hao Xuan furrowed his brow looking at the hooded figures and kept the sword right in front of him in a defensive position. "So these are the people that bandit was talking about? d.a.m.n, he wasn't kidding about them being big," he thought inwardly, now actually getting worried.

"What do you mean? We are the local bandits," one of the figures sn.i.g.g.e.red.

"So are you coming with us or will you continue to waste time?" asked the biggest of the four.

"I will, as soon as you prove you can back up your bulls.h.i.+t," Hao Xuan turned and looked at the one who had just spoken.

"Fine, let's get this over with quick. Monk, break his legs," the figure said and the one to the left of Hao Xuan started walking towards him.

"Monk? You? Alright," without wasting any more words he stored the sword and took out the glaive.

"Oho, that's not something you see often. You a soldier as well?" Monk took off his hood and showed his face.

"Hm? Jia?" Hao Xuan frowned.

"Woah, that was fast. Just because I have brown skin you a.s.sume I'm a Jia soldier?"

"That and your size. Not just a normal soldier either, you must be pretty special huh."

"My mom always said I was a special boy," Monk nodded.

"I bet she did," Hao Xuan replied with a chuckle.

"Wow, you're kinda mean," Monk made a sad face as if he was being bullied.

"I guess," Hao Xuan tightened his grip on the glaive and started channeling the Slas.h.i.+ng Qi into it from his second meridian making it glow red. He lifted the Glaive up into an attacking stance.

"Haha, there's still quite a bit of distance between us, why are you in such a hurry?"

"No there isn't." Hao Xuan shook his head. He was still about 15 meters away from him.

"Huh? Of cou-" before he could finish his expression changed, Hao Xuan had completely disappeared.

"CUT!" a voice said from behind and quickly turning around he saw the Glaive's blade coming down on his head.

*HUK*

Sensing the danger he lifted his right arm, made a fist and punched the blade with full power.

*BOOOM*

An explosion sounded and sent Monk back three feet. Hao Xuan was flung back more than 10 meters.

"WHAT!" All four Jia soldier's expression changed. Hao Xuan never had any plans to fight against them from the beginning. He had seen first hand how powerful a single one of them was, let alone all four combined.

As soon as the explosion happened he used the energy and momentum from it to push himself away from them and when he was far enough from their encirclement he used "Emperors Arrival" to run away like a chicken with its head cut off.

"Run now, fight later. Morals are useless when you're dead," he mumbled and disappeared once again from the place he landed at and appeared 30 meters away this time.

"Don't let him get away!" the biggest of them screamed and started running after Hao Xuan, followed by the other two.

"Nooo, really??? That's the exact opposite of what I wanted to do," Monk said in an exaggerated tone and also ran after them.

"I swear to G.o.d Monk, one of these days you're gonna get your a.s.s beat by Steel. Your graves gonna say *Here lies Monk, died because of giving a sarcastic comeback to his squad leader*," one of the figures in front turned around and said looking at Monk.

"Well if you guys didn't make such dumba.s.s and obvious statements, I wouldn't have to give a snarky reply every time. I mean of course we're gonna go after the kid, what's the point of saying it? That's so cheesy," Monk replied nonchalantly like he was talking about someone else.

"Both of you shut the h.e.l.l up, holy s.h.i.+t. Be serious for once," the third figure shouted without even looking at them and speed up even more.

Hao Xuan was now more than 300 meters away from them but he was almost out of Qi.
