Soon, Fu Hua was seen making his way to the dining area. Fu Hee sighed in relief when she saw him, and she was booing nothing happened between him and Jia Li last night.

"Fu Hua, why are you only coming out now? We have been waiting for you." Fu Hee said with her gaze on him.

"When did we start to wait for everyone to gather before breakfast? As far as I remember, Grandfather is the person we all wait for." Fu Hua said as he found an empty seat and sat down.

"Is Jia Li sleeping?" Grandfather Fu asked as he glanced at Fu Hua.

"Yes." Fu Hua replied as picked up the mug of black coffee a servant just dropped in front of him.

Fu ChunHua was all smiles as she said, "Later, you will have to take some breakfast to Jia Li."

Fu Hua glanced at her and seeing her smiling from ear to ear, he guessed she must have been the one that drugged him and everything made sense now.

She was now the Mistress of the family, and she was basically the one in charge of things in the kitchen, so she could just order the servants around and get them to do anything. But he knew in order not for the news to spread, she must have done everything herself.

At the thought of this, Fu Hua's expression darkened. He couldn't wait to have a word with her.

It would be embarra.s.sing to him and also to Jia Li if anyone found out he was drugged and it will be easy to guess what went down with Jia Li last night.

He didn't want Jia Li to be embarra.s.sed by anyone's gaze or thoughts towards her, so he at least had to protect her in that way.

The breakfast table was calm as everyone ate to their fill, except for Fu Hee who was too angry to eat properly.

When grandfather Fu was done eating, he wiped his lips and said with his gaze on Fu Hee.

"Fu Hee, have you settled things with the Bai family?" He asked.

Fu Hee almost choked on her food. She swallowed her food and wiped her lips before replying.

"Not yet! But I will inform Mrs. Bai of the news of Fu Hua's marriage." Fu Hee replied.

"Make sure you don't blame anybody. And I hope you know what to say?" Grandfather Fu asked with a stern gaze.

"Yes, Father." Fu Hee replied with an annoyed tone. She was angry because she felt the old man was meddling in something he shouldn't be interested in.

Grandfather Fu left the dining table after that.

Fu Hee was the next to leave, as she had long lost her appet.i.te.

"Brother, are you going to the company today?" Fu YingPei whispered to Fu Hua's hearing.

Fu Hua glanced at him. He was tempted to reply sarcastically since he was not in a good mood, but he refrained from that.

"I am not going. The sales of the company are going on well after the show." Fu Hua replied.

"Oh!" Fu YingPei said with a smile. He wanted to tease Fu Hua but the latter didn't seem to be in a good mood.

One after the other after breakfast, Fu Lei, Fu Geming, Fu Ling, Fu Juan, and Fu Meixu left the dining room.

Fu Hua saw that YingPei wasn't still leaving the dining room, so he got annoyed and said to him, "Do you plan to report to work late? It looks like you don't want your promotion by the end of this year."

"Ah! I'm leaving already!" Fu YingPei said as he hurriedly wiped and left the dining room while wondering what was wrong with his brother.

Now that only he and Fu ChunHua were left, Fu Hua fixed his cold gaze on her.

Fu ChunHua noticed that Icy gaze on her and turned to glance towards the direction she felt it, only to see Fu Hua staring at her.

She was a little startled simply because she was guilty of an abominable crime. But she masked her nervous look with a smiled as she asked...

"Fu Hua, do you need more food?"

"Cut the c.r.a.p! Why did you drug me yesterday?" Fu Hua asked straightforwardly as he didn't want to waste time with her.

"Ah! What are you talking about, you must be mistaken?" Fu ChunHua denied his words as she stood to her feet. She was about to walk away when Fu Hua's words stopped her.

"Aunty, it looks like you're too old so you're losing your memories. Maybe when I report your shameless acts to grandfather, you will remember something." Fu Hua said with a cold gaze.

Fu ChunHua felt pain in her chest when Fu Hua addressed her as an old woman because of her age. The fact that she was older than her husband, his mother and was of the same age as his father, has always been a thorn in her flesh.

Now hearing him mention that, she felt something heavy was pressing on her chest. And as if that wasn't enough, he had also threatened her.

Fu ChunHua slowly forced back the painful feelings back inside her heart as she slowly turned around to glance at him with a painful expression on her face.

"You want to report me to Father so he will remove my position and hand it back to your mother?" She asked.

Fu Hua stood to his feet and said as he walked towards her, "No, so you two can have a long rest while someone more capable will take over the position you two couldn't keep."

Fu ChunHua s.h.i.+vered as she felt the cold air from Fu Hua as he came close to her.

"Aunty, don't mess with me next time..." Fu Hua said in simple words before walking past her.

Once he was out of sight, Fu ChunHua sat back on the chair as she breathed heavily.

"Mum, you really dared to drug Fu Hua, are you courting death?" Fu Ling asked with a frown as he walked over. He has been hiding in the corners when he saw Fu Hua talking to his mother.

Actually, he came back to ask his mother for something when he saw them taking, so he hid and listened to them.

He only walked out when Fu Hua had left.
