Grandfather Fu was all smiles when he heard about Jia Li and Fu Hua's arrival, but most importantly, Jia Li whom he doted on. He even left the important things he was doing and came out to welcome them.

Fu Hua had a calm look as he greeted his grandfather. Jia Li embraced the old man in a side hug.

After the hug, Grandfather Fu took a good look at Jia Li and smiled. He saw that she was looking good, and guessed that she was being taken care of.

"Good...Good." Grandfather Fu said with a smile before he asked them to come in.

Since it was almost 10 AM, there were only a few family members around.

Fu ChunHua heard that Fu Hua and Jia Li were back, and came out to welcome them. She looked very happy to see Jia Li and even went up to hug her.

"Since you just arrived, you can go up to your room and rest." Grandfather Fu said to Jia Li and Fu Hua.

"I will go and prepare some refreshments for them." Fu ChunHua said and went away.

Grandfather Fu stood and watch Jia Li and Fu Hua leave.

With his hands behind his back, he left for his study with Butler Lu walking beside him.

Back in the study, Butler Lu said to the old man in a happy tone, "Sir, you look so happy today."

"Of course, I'm happy knowing that Fu Hua is taking good care of Jia Li. I made the right choice by bringing them together." Grandfather Fu said with a proud smile.

"Sir, you indeed made the correct choice." Butler Lu said with a smile.

After unpacking their things, Jia Li went to lay on the bed.

"Are you tired?" Fu Hua asked.

"Yeah, I'm a bit tired," Jia Li said.

"Do you need a ma.s.sage, I can help you." Fu Hua said as she walked towards the bed.

Hearing him say he could give her a message, Jia Li rejected him. She didn't know if the ma.s.sage would lead to something else.

Fu Hua guessed her thoughts from her looks and asked, "You don't trust me?"

"No, I just want to sleep." Jia Li replied and closed her eyes immediately.

Fu Hua smiled and didn't bother her again. He really had pure intent this time around, but it was obvious that she didn't trust him.

Fu Hua took off his jacket and kept it on the side of the bed, next, he covered Jia Li with the duvet before leaving the room.

Fu Hua went straight to the library after leaving the room.

30 minutes later when he returned to the room, he didn't see Jia Li, and so went out to look for her.

Jia Li who had a little nap woke up and went to look for her dog. She has missed her dog so much, and she wondered if she would still act familiar with her.

As Jia Li approached the dog kennel, Ocean heard the approaching footsteps and started barking.

"Ocean?" Jia Li called out excitedly as she quickened her footsteps. It looks like Ocean recognized her voice and became excited as well.

At last, when Jia Li finally appeared before Ocean, her bark became louder, and she was looking for a way to come out of her kennel.

Jia Li smiled brightly as she released Ocean from her cage, and immediately she was set free, she pounced on Jia Li.

As Jia Li was expecting that she would do that, She turned to her side a little, so she wouldn't pounce on her stomach.

"Ocean, you look like you missed me a lot." Jia Li said with a smile as she embraced her.

Ocean reduced the tone of her barking.

Jia Li let her stay in her embrace for a while as she rubbed her back. And finally, when She let her off, Ocean started to circle her.

"Did my appearance change?" Jia Li asked as she let out a laugh. She had no idea why Ocean was circling, so she asked that question.

Ocean seems to reply to her question, because she barked and circled her twice, before coming to stand before her.

Jia Li stretched out her hands to rub her hair and give her a tender scratch on her back.

Ocean barked once more, before coming very close to her, and started to sniff her.

"What are you doing?" Jia Li asked while giving out a soft laugh.

Ocean glanced at her, before moving her gaze to her stomach, and before Jia Li could respond, Ocean nudged her stomach gently.

Jia Li finally understood the reason Ocean circled her and paid attention to her stomach. It turned out that Ocean knew she was pregnant.

"You know I have a baby in there?" Jia Li asked with a smiling gaze on Ocean, as she instinctively placed her palms on her stomach.

In response to her question, Ocean barked again.

Jia Li smiled the more and caressed Ocean's back. Ocean seemed more excited and barked again before she started to circle her again, and this was the scene Fu Hua saw when he came out to find Jia Li.

With his hands in his pockets, Fu Hua approached them.

Ocean heard the footsteps and immediately glanced towards Fu Hua and started barking. At this point, Jia Li followed her gaze and saw Fu Hua approaching them with a frown.

Jia Li glanced back at Ocean and calmed her down. She said to her while rubbing her back. "Ocean calm down, he is a friend."

Ocean understood her words, and stopped barking, and then continued to circle Jia Li again. Jia Li was almost getting dizzy with the way she was circling her.

Fu Hua finally approached them and glanced at Ocean with a frown.

"Why is she acting that way?" Fu Hua asked curiously.

Since he first caught sight of them, Ocean seemed very interested and happy while circling Jia Li, and he became curious and wanted to know the reason.

"She can sense the baby in my stomach, that's the reason she keeps circling me." Jia Li replied.
