"You brought me here to buy lunch for me, and also to have a meeting on the ad shoot, so please Mr. s.h.i.+, don't insult me because I can also foot my bills," Meixu said and rolled her eyes at him.

It doesn't matter if she was seen through, she will still go on and do whatever she wanted.

'If you have nothing up your sleeves, why did you order the most expensive wine in this restaurant instead of the wine you'd prefer?' s.h.i.+ Qiao thought to himself.

"Sir, what about your order?" The waiter asked s.h.i.+ Qiao.

s.h.i.+ Qiao glanced at him and replied, "Just get an extra plate and cutlery."

The waiter took the menu from him and left, while s.h.i.+ Qiao's a.s.sistant who had left them all alone in the room, came back.

"Sir, you have a call from the office." He said as he handed the phone to him.

"Give me a few minutes." s.h.i.+ Qiao said to Meixu and took the phone to answer the call that has already been connected.

The call lasted only for a few minutes before s.h.i.+ Qiao handed the phone back to his a.s.sistant and he left.

Soon, the dishes were served. The entire surface of the round table was covered with different dishes. Meixu immediately picked up her chopsticks and began to eat.

She tasted all the dishes that were appealing to her before putting down her chopsticks.

"Are you done eating?" s.h.i.+ Qiao asked.

"I'm satisfied, thank you for the treat," Meixu said in satisfaction. She had succeeded in accomplis.h.i.+ng her task.

s.h.i.+ Qiao smiled at her and continued to eat, and only stopped when he was satisfied. When the water came back, s.h.i.+ Qiao asked him to pack the dishes for Meixu.

"I don't need it." She said.

"When you go back to your agency, you can give them to your trainees, they would appreciate your effort for remembering them." s.h.i.+ Qiao said.

Since he has said it like that, she didn't reject him, after all, it was going to be in her favor.

"I haven't seen you in a long time, how have you been?" s.h.i.+ Qiao asked.

"Is this part of the ad shoot for your company?" Meixu asked with a frown. He was asking her personal question, and she wanted to know if she was there for an official reason or a personal one.

If it was for a personal reason, she would leave, but if it was related to the contract she just signed, she would sit there and get it over with.

"It is part of the work. Your wellbeing is important to us. We need to be sure you are okay before filming the ads." s.h.i.+ Qiao said to her.

Meixu couldn't believe what she was hearing. She glanced at him strangely and asked, "This is the first time I'm learning that some companies actually care for the state of mind of their models."

"My company is different." s.h.i.+ Qiao said.

Was it part of his company policy? He knew the answer to that question best.

"And if I say I'm not fine, what will your company do about it?" Meixu asked with a stubborn gaze. She was all out to give him a headache since he asked for it.

Meixu got annoyed and asked him to go straight to the point of their meeting.

When their meeting ended, s.h.i.+ Qiao took her back to the company after reminding her to be early tomorrow for the first day of the ad shoot, of which she didn't give any reply.

The next day Meixu arrived at his family company 10 minutes late. It was a deliberate act, and her manager couldn't do much about it.

"You should have eaten on time. This is the first day of the ad shoot, didn't you read the contract properly?" Her manager asked with a frown.

"How many times will you say it already? I don't know how to we will spend there, so of course, I have to take care of myself first." Meixu said without a care.

Her manager and her a.s.sistant didn't know what else to say to her. Whenever she decides to be stubborn, they can't do anything about it.

When Meixu, her manager, and her a.s.sistant arrived in the company Van allocated to her, s.h.i.+ Qiao's a.s.sistant was already waiting for them at the entrance.

'Boss was right, she would come late.' s.h.i.+ Qiao's a.s.sistant muttered to himself.

"I hope your Boss wouldn't be present in this shoot?" Meixu asked as they all made their way inside the building.

"No, he won't." The a.s.sistant replied.

"Perfect!" Meixu replied.

As long as s.h.i.+ Qiao was not present, Meixu would be obedient and film the ads in one take. But if he was present, she would give everyone a headache.

Soon, it was time for FJ's yearly fas.h.i.+on show. All of FJ's staff were very busy for the big event, even till the end of it.

So many important guests graced the event, including the entire Fu family. So many international and national celebrities were in attendance. Ministers and their wives, politicians, businessmen, and men and women that mattered graced the event.

As usual, there was a live broadcast of the event, and only a few media outlets were invited.

Alix did one crazy thing. She came to the event even though she was not invited. The main thing was that she didn't go in, because an invitation card was needed for entrance.

She just came to stir up trouble. She took pictures outside the building when most people had already gone in.

She was in disguise when she arrived. She knew the consequences of using a stir of she allowed her face to be seen in the event she was not invited to.

She would be arrested, or the security there would throw her out, and that would be a big embarra.s.sment to her, so what she did was to disguise herself and took some pictures, then when most people had already gone in, she took off her mask from her face and took two more pictures before leaving immediately.

A few people thought she seemed familiar, but before they could get a good look at her face, she put the mask back on her face and left hurriedly.
