Chapter 36-I’ve got this Ancestor’s back
Lu Deng held his wrist and raised his eyes.
“Huaiye…”
Gu Ting drew his arm back, but couldn’t pull it, so he had to hold the person to his chest and lean in close to whisper into his ear.
He made his voice low and mellow, but the human youth in his arms seemed completely unmoved. Lu Huaiye just took his hand and looked at it carefully. His palms shone with light green light and he covered his hands over those wounds.
Gu Ting wanted to speak but looking at Lu Huaiye’s focused eyes, he swallowed the words back.
A vampire’s recovery ability was extremely strong. He wanted to try how to bite so that it doesn’t hurt too much and wouldn’t cause too much blood loss. He also deliberately used the medicine that vampires used to adjust their physical state to a level similar to that of humans’ in order to pa.s.s off as one of them. He had finally managed to make these wounds stay in order to compare which ones would heal the fastest.
Well, whatever. There’ll be time in the future to try this out again.
Lu Deng healed his wounds for him and put the cuff down again. He then finally raised his head again. Meeting the pureblood ancestor’s still worried gaze, he couldn’t help but smile and hold his hand. “Don’t worry, I won’t say anything.”
It would indeed be an inevitable loss in status if it were to get out that a dignified pureblood ancestor had been practicing biting on his arm. Gu Ting breathed a sigh of relief. He rubbed the other’s short hair and was about to lead him out to have their meal when his arm was suddenly caught and pulled back.
Lu Deng raised his arms to embrace his shoulder and neck. Gu Ting was startled slightly but immediately raised his arms to wrap them around him. The two of them were so very close; he could clearly feel the human youth’s clear and mellow breath as he breathed out from his nose.
For a moment, his little prey carefully sized him up. He then chose a position on his neck and leaned over.
He was a bit curious why Lu Huaiye would choose such a position but Gu Ting nevertheless considerately leaned over so that the other party could kiss him more easily. He was looking forward to it for a long while but the soft touch he was antic.i.p.ating did not appear.
The warmth remained on his shoulder the whole time and Gu Ting was a little curious. He wanted to turn sideways to see what Lu Huaiye was doing, but a strange sensation suddenly appeared on the side of his neck.
His calm heart gave a resolute jump. Gu Ting’s arms tightened suddenly, binding the body that was in his arms.
Lu Huaiye was biting him.
Compared with the sharp fangs of a vampire, a human bite was undoubtedly extremely gentle. His little prey lay on his shoulders. He hadn’t exert any considerable strength at all, taking a bite between his neck that was neither light nor heavy. It didn’t hurt at all. It was merely an exceedingly light and soft rubbing against his heart.
There was a warm touch between his teeth, softly touching Gu Ting’s neck.
Blood nearly began to whizz and rush again through the blood vessels in his bitten neck. Gu Ting’s body was stretched taut and his eyes filled with a faint b.l.o.o.d.y mist.
Lu Deng raised his head, his remained smiling. “Do you remember now? Just bite here. No need to worry. I recover faster than you—”
Before he finished speaking, he was fully embraced by Gu Ting. The thick black mist blocked his vision in the blink of an eye. When he opened his eyes, he was already lying on the bed in the bedroom.
Although sleeping together was nice, he remembered that the other party had been planning to take him to eat dinner.
Lu Deng blinked and raised his head slightly. The color of the vampiric ancestor’s eyes had turned scarlet and his brows were furrowed, as though trying to restrain a certain urge. His arms were stiff and pressed against his body.
Gu Ting looked at him and said softly, “Huaiye… Is it okay?”
His voice was extremely soft, as if he was afraid of disturbing the strands of moonlight falling in through the window. The color of his eyes grew darker, turning so dark it was almost enough to absorb his soul.
“Okay.”
Lu Deng raised the corners of his lips. He raised his fingers and touched the side of the pureblood ancestor’s lips, probing for his fangs. “Don’t be nervous. It might be difficult the first time but next time, it will be easy–”
Gu Ting already covered him up.
…
Turns out he was asking permission for this.
Well, this was okay too.
Having already had several experiences, going deeper and deeper each time, Lu Deng no longer felt nervous. He took advantage of the gap between kisses to withdraw a little bit. He smiled and met the surging open affection in the other’s b.l.o.o.d.y irises.
He would give him anything.
The two bodies shared a single spot of flouris.h.i.+ng vitality. Gu Ting’s body also produced a slight warmth and the re-flow of blood through his veins brought sharp pain; sharp pain that made him tighten his body even more whilst he made his actions even gentler.
“Huaiye…”
His body was extremely sensitive because of being filled to the brim with vitality; every warm touch exploded on his skin like the cut of a knife. However, it was also mixed with extreme excitement. Gu Ting kept close to him. He kept his eyes fixed on the person in his arms. He lowered his head to kiss him, sealing their lips together.
Lu Deng held his arm. He raised his head slightly. The light in his black eyes was clear and he leaned his body to return the kiss.
In the extremely dark night, the blood-colored rose quietly bloomed. Tender green vines stretched out towards the velvet buds, touching them between the pistils.
The wind moved.
Accept, come together, linger.
The moon’s shadow pa.s.sed through the gap in the window. It flickered due to the blowing of the wind and it trickled in its white radiance.

The pigeon dish was well and fully stewed.

At noon the next day, Lu Deng finally woke up, completely fatigued.
Now that he had truly experienced it once, he has realized that it was far more tiring than when just relieving pressure. There wasn’t a single part of his body that wasn’t sore. He was feeling too sluggish to even think of moving. It was rare for Lu Deng not to get up immediately. He lay in a daze on the soft bedding when there was a sudden rumbling from his belly.
“Did you sleep well?”
A soft question rang in his ears. The warmth that had covered him had returned to its original coldness; a coldness that was especially comfortable on his body in the midst of the bright and almost burning sunlight.
Meeting Gu Ting’s gaze, Lu Deng’s eyes were full of smiles. He nodded and leaned into his arms. His eyes felt so heavy that he couldn’t help closing them again.
A soft kiss fell on his forehead. A water cup was placed on his lips. It was gently shaken, overflowing a bit of coolness into his lips.
Gu Ting embraced him to sit somewhere out of the sun. Watching the small prey unconsciously bury himself deeper in his arms, his eyes took on a warmer expression. He gently embraced him to sit up. “Drink some water.”
Lu Deng allowed himself to be fed a couple of mouthfuls of water. He fumbled for the corner of Gu Ting’s clothes, holding it between his fingers. He pressed his sun-warmed cheeks against the other’s cool chest.
He no longer felt too sleepy but he was really feeling too relaxed. For the first time, he handed his mind unreservedly. It was emptied to the extreme. He wanted nothing but to find that familiar embrace to lean against and sleep till the end of time.
The rich aroma of the food filled his nose and the rumbling in stomach reappeared. He was finally pulled back to full consciousness from the brink of falling back into muddle-headedness.
Lu Deng opened his eyes and greeted Gu Ting with a soft eye smile. “Have something to eat. I changed the ticket for this evening, so we still have plenty of time.”
The pigeon stew that been boiled until it was golden and bright. The layer of floating oil had been carefully skimmed away. The strong fragrance made the emptiness in his stomach all the more unbearable.
Finally dispelled of his sleepiness, Lu Deng swallowed a spoonful of the pigeon stew. Not only was it rich and delicious but the degree of saltiness was also just right. He looked up at the vampiric ancestor who obviously couldn’t taste normal food and his eyes couldn’t help revealing curiosity.
“Is it tasty?”
Seeing the bright light in his eyes, Gu Ting finally breathed a sigh of relief. He smiled, and embraced him again.
“Thanks to your blessing, my body has been neutralized for a while. It was a rare opportunity so I tried the recipe—it seems that the result was good. In the future, if there’s anything you want to eat, just tell me.”
When his vitality was filled to the extreme, he could briefly transform into human form. It’s a pity that this process was still reversible and a vampire’s body can’t stay alive. Before Lu Deng woke up, he had already returned to his original state again.
He didn’t expect that his power would also have this effect. Lu Deng blinked, raised his lips and nodded. He took the spoon and chopsticks from him. “Will we be leaving tonight?”
“It’s a sightseeing pleasure boat. The facilities inside are very good. You can sleep on the way up. It will take about three to four days on the road.”
Gu Ting nodded and looked at the little prey in his arms slurping what he had made, rubbing his short hair contentedly: “If the weather is good, we can even take pictures.”
His whereabouts must be reported to the Special Service Office. If he bluntly says that he is going to find the altar, his trip will definitely not be approved. He can only go out using sightseeing as an excuse. He mustn’t be impatient on the road.
The altar he seeks isn’t close enough to where he was. It was in the jungle at the end of this journey. As long as he moved fast enough, he might be able to get away with it without attracting the attention of the Special Service Office.
Noticing that he was lost in thought, Lu Huaiye raised his head from between his arms. Gu Ting retracted his arms comfortingly. He picked out a piece of well-stewed thigh meat and fed it to Lu Huaiye. “Build up your strength.”
With Lu Huaiye, the atmosphere is so peaceful and warm that he almost forgot the rules that state that he has to be on guard and vigilant. But if he wants to not cause any difficulties to the other because of his ident.i.ty, he must abide by the rules of the Special Service Office as much as possible.
It doesn’t matter if he abides by them anyway.
Sightseeing pleasure boats weren’t as fast as ordinary suspended vehicles but they were relatively more stable. It just so happened that he wasn’t used to human transportation. Being able to go on a comfortable trip like this could also be counted as sightseeing.
Unexpectedly, he was looking a bit forward to this trip. Gu Ting raised the corners of his lips. He lowered his head and touched the soft short hair rubbing against his jaw. He then swept the other into his arms.
When their bodies were brought together, he was finally able to see the stigmata on Lu Huaiye’s body.
Lu Huaiye’s strength was more than just this kind of reserved gentleness that he was displaying. He had known it a long time ago but he still didn’t expect the other party to bear the stigmata.
The stigmata was the natural nemesis of the vampires; not only because humans with the stigmata generally possessed superior strength but also because humans with this mark can deprive vampires of their power through it and use it for their own.
The body of a vampire was extremely deficient in vitality. After such exceedingly intimate contact, Lu Huaiye had unconsciously given him most of the vitality in his body. Fortunately, he found the stigmata in time and tried to hand over part of his own strength. In this way, he was able to avoid the other person from accidentally falling asleep again.
And also getting him lots of sunlight.
The corners of Gu Ting’s lips ticked up as he looked down at the little human in his arms.
Lu Huaiye ate to his heart’s content and drank even the last bit of soup. He wiped his lips with a napkin. He noticed his gaze and raised his head. Gu Ting smiled and kissed him.
With the stigmata, things were easy to handle.
Now, he had the ability to feed his little prey as well.
