"I-I did not mean to offend you. I only asked you to be humble because I have been close to the 'Li' family. The image you would represent of yourself would greatly affect the Li family reputation. As I have been close to this family since I was little and treat them as my second home, I naturally care for their reputation. That's all." Those words came from a mouth that had purposely used media to sully the 'Li' family in order to pressurize them into the marriage.

Chen Yi frowned, not quite understanding what this w.a.n.g Hualing was coming at. "Is this what you have up your sleeves?" She had expected something better.

"If you are holding grudges for that day, I apologize for it. It was all of sudden. After all, I and Brother Li had always been- Nevermind! That's why I had lost my composure and attacked you. I hope Yi Jie won't be offended and forgive me keeping Brother Li in mind." w.a.n.g Hualing continued to ramble without minding Chen Yi's questions.

At first, Chen Yi could not understand it. Then she heard a couple of footsteps from her back. She sneered. So this was what this w.a.n.g Hualing was aiming at? In a low voice, Chen Yi said. "How cheap."

But w.a.n.g Hualing could not be bothered with Chen Yi's comment. 

Surely, w.a.n.g Hualing felt a rush of anger at her comment. But so what? What was this wench even worth? She was not someone having the qualifications to make w.a.n.g Hualing worry about what she thought of her. 

On the other hand, w.a.n.g Hualing was the Young Miss of the great w.a.n.g family. Their comparison was too much. One was like jade while the other was like a random, filthy rock.

Why should w.a.n.g Hualing care what a filthy rock thinks?

So w.a.n.g Hualing didn't stop. She walked forward towards Chen Yi and it appeared as if she intended to grab her. Chen Yi dodged her touch. A second later, w.a.n.g Hualing slipped and fell on her back, landing on her floor with a loud cry.

Chen Yi gazed at her acting with cold eyes. She did not have any intentions to intervene. If she interferes, w.a.n.g Hualing would surely use it for her own good twisting the situation as she wished.

"Y-Yi Jie!" w.a.n.g Hualing's eyes widened in shock. A mixture of hurt, pain, and sadness flashed across her beautiful face making her appear quite pitiful. "I only wanted to apologize to you. You- Why would you push me like this?" Her tone was purposefully loud.

In the background, Chen Yi heard the steps halt. She was pretty much sure that Li Luxian and Li Guang stood still and stared at them in confusion.

At this, she coldly said. "I did not push you. You-"

"I know you must dislike me because I was Brother Li fiancee before you. But that's all are the happenings of the past. I specifically came today to put our differences aside and start over things. For that, I was even willing to apologize for any mistakes I made. But... you pushed me?" w.a.n.g Hualing was definitely not going to let her speak.

Although pitiful expressions covered her face, w.a.n.g Hualing felt confidant in her heart. Looking at Chen Yi still and unable to defend herself, w.a.n.g Hualing was certain she had won this match.

Just as she thought so, she looked behind Chen Yi. The expressions both Li Luxian and Li Guang had on their faces were exactly what w.a.n.g Hualing had wanted.

Li Guang's expressions were a mixture of confusion and anger. While Li Luxian expressions were wrathful. His face was livid. w.a.n.g Hualing was pretty much certain that his anger was directed towards Chen Yi.

She laughed in her heart.

"What is happening here?" As the elder, Li Guang had to come forward and break the stalemate. He took the lead. He glanced at Chen Yi's cold face then at w.a.n.g Hualing crying face as he tried to comprehend the situation.

"Father Li, I didn't want to create trouble. It's just- I am so sorry!" w.a.n.g Hualing hurriedly said. With tears br.i.m.m.i.n.g in her eyes, she looked quite pitiful.

Chen Yi noted the words w.a.n.g Hualing used to address Li Guang. So was w.a.n.g Hualing really this close to the 'Li' family? Or was she purposefully using this way of addressing to discourage Chen Yi?

"Just- What happened here?" Li Guang could not be bothered with the way w.a.n.g Hualing addressed her.
