Chapter 349 - The Mystery Behind The Collapse Of The Ancestral Hall I
Two days later, the st.i.tches on Jiang Ruolan's head opened at 10 am. Around 2 pm, Xiaoyi was sitting on the bed across the room, staring at her with wide eyes. Ever since she spoke to Xian Zihao, her eyes hadn't stopped staring at her (Jiang Ruolan).
Jiang Ruolan didn't know what Xian Zihao had said to Xiaoyi that day. She wanted to ask him, but she always forgot.
What did he say to this little girl?
Why was she always staring at her and without hostility too?
As she was thinking, Xiong Ruogang suddenly pushed open the ward door and in her hand, was a plastic of donkey meat she had bought at a nearby restaurant.
"Eh? Sis Jiang, why is President Xian not here today?" Xiong Ruogang asked while looking at Jiang Ruolan's medical report. "When I came here yesterday, I saw him here with you."
"After he accompanied me to open the st.i.tches, he had to go to Xian Group because of an urgent meeting. In addition, he also has some things to do at Xian Residence. He will be back tonight." Jiang Ruolan said softly.
Xiong Ruogang nodded. Suddenly, she thought of something. She took out a tablet from her bag, searched the hospital network, and then handed it over.
"Look, Sis Jiang, this is news about the Construction Bureau and Ling Group. Ling Group seems to have been the target. Oh yes, isn't Han Xuegang long engaged to Ling Fei'er? Until now, they are still unmarried. I heard that some days ago, the Ling Family forced the marriage, and Han Xuegang made excuses to postpone the marriage. Currently, the Ling Family and Han Xuegang are in a stalemate. In my opinion, that heartless person will soon dimoted from his position."
Jiang Ruolan was stunned. She picked up the tablet and looked at Xiong Ruogang's newly opened website. Slowly, she looked through it.
"Logically speaking, the Ling Family should not be at loggerheads with Han Xuegang at this time. Since the official eyes were on the Ling Family, even if they have a private conflict, the matter will not spread outside. The Ling Family will maintain a peaceful state on the surface. Ruogang, who did you hear this news from?"
Jiang Ruolan looked at it for a while and felt that something was wrong. She could not refrain herself from asking.
Xiong Ruogang thought for a moment, "Yesterday afternoon, there's an urgent meeting in the Department of Commerce. Editor Huang said this and surprisingly, this time, he did not let me take over this task. He gave it to Little Lin. He asked her to write this news and published it this morning."
Jiang Ruolan raised her eyebrow, "Editor Huang again?"
It seemed that the Ling Family had not only joined hands with the Construction Bureau, but they also had interfered with the Fengyu Media when Qin Gengxin was not in there.
News of the misunderstanding between the Ling Family and Han Xuegang spread so easily that even Jiang Ruolan could see the problem. Before this, they tried to use Jiang Ruolan as bait to lure Xian Zihao. But this method…
If the Ling Family was trying to lure them out, how could a scheming person like Director Ling use such a deceptive method that a brain-dead person could easily a.n.a.lyze?
Or did Director Ling use this method to conceal something else?
"Sis Jiang, take a look at this." Xiong Ruogang smiled as she gestured to her tablet. "Before I came, I asked Little Lin for a copy, and she sent it directly to my mailbox. Look at the script. This is a ready-made script. I don't know who wrote it. Editor Huang rarely comes to the business department and the last time he came was to ask me to do an interview on that Construction Bureau's new project. I don't know why but I suddenly had feelings that he also had something to do with this matter."
Jiang Ruolan was instantly amused. "Little girl, you're becoming more and more shrewd."
"Originally, I wanted to let President Xian see this. Perhaps it would be helpful to him, but since he's not here, I'll give it to you. You can tell him when he returns." Xiong Ruogang said.
Jiang Ruolan nodded while looking seriously at the script in Xiong Ruogang's mailbox. The more she looked, the more she felt there was something wrong here.
"Han Xuegang is being suspended now?" she asked.
"I also think there is something wrong. Last night, on my way home from work, I met a small executive of Ling Group. Previously I had interviewed him, so we kinda know each other. I asked him whether Vice President Han had been suspended, but he had an expression that was unclear, as if he hadn't heard about it at all."
Xiong Ruogang's expression was serious and her eyes were glimmering faintly.
Jiang Ruolan thought back on Xiong Ruogang's boyfriend who had died. The cause of the accident was Madam Ling. No wonder this girl was so concerned about this.
Jiang Ruolan sighed and held her hand while smiling, "Ruogang, if you know any news about the Ling Family, you must tell me now. Don't hide it and handle this matter by yourself just because you hold a grudge. Don't take any risks, do you hear me?"
Xiong Ruogang hesitated for a moment before she nodded her head. Jiang Ruolan turned her gaze back to the tablet in her hands and looked at the email.

Xian Residence.
Old Man Xian paced back and forth in the living room with an anxious expression.
Zhan An who had just come down the stairs could not hold back her laughter, "Dad, what's wrong with you? Since Zihao came back, you haven't sat down at all."
Old Man Xian stopped and sighed faintly. "I will go to the ancestral hall to take a look."
"The wind is strong outside, so please don't go. Zihao should be back soon. I think he just went to the ancestral hall to look around."
"Yeah, dad, you were going to rebuild the ancestral hall two days ago, but before construction started, Zihao sent someone to stop it. I found it a bit suspicious that the hall suddenly collapsed. Zihao just wanted to inspect the scene, so don't worry." Xian Jian came in from outside. He took off his hat and casually put it down on the table.
Old Man Xian didn't say anything. He just turned his head and asked, "Where did Yijun go?"
Xian Jian frowned, "Didn't you want him to find a suitable job with the authorities in H City? I can see that for the past two days, he has formed a good relations.h.i.+p with a lot of government officials. He had a banquet to attend tonight, so he could not follow me home."
Old Man Xian nodded before he looked out the window. After thinking for a moment, he called Xian Jian to follow him to the study room.

Elsewhere, at the Xian Family ancestral hall.
Two days ago, Old Man Xian had hired workers to rebuild the ancestral hall. Although they were stopped in time, some of the broken stones had already been moved away and the surrounding ground had been cleanly cleaned.
Xian Zihao bent down and picked up a small piece of stone from the ground, turning it in his hand.
Uncle Ma walked forward hesitantly and said in a low voice, "The wind that night was very strange. Thunder and lightning were always striking, but no rain fell. Nanny Cheng saw from the weather forecast that the wind would be strong in the next few nights, so we didn't think about it very much, but when the ancestral hall suddenly collapsed, we began to feel very strange."
"In the last few days, the Old Master had been acting strangely and not letting anyone come to the ancestral hall except for the workers. Now that Young Master is here, I hope the truth could finally be revealed soon." Uncle Ma said before he beckoned someone to bring over a large broken stone pillar.
"These are the stone pillars that the workers didn't have the time to clean up."
Xian Zihao was observing the flat rock in his hand when he heard Uncle Ma's words. He looked at his calm face before slightly asked, "Is that all?"
"There's more over there, but it's all stacked up." Uncle Ma pointed at the high cement sack.
"Alright then." Xian Zihao picked up another small piece of gravel from the side and looked at the cement bag's direction. "Ruolan and grandfather were the only two who were there when the accident occurred?" he asked.
Obviously, Xian Zihao already knew that there was a third person present at that time, and he also knew who the third person was. Yet, he still asked Uncle Ma in return.
Uncle Ma nodded, "Yes, only the Young Madam and the Old Master are here, but Nanny Cheng said that when they rushed here, Young Master Yijun had just saved the Young Madam, and then saved the Old Master. If he had not saved the Old Master at the time, the consequences would have been unthinkable!"
Afterwards, Uncle Ma went to the other side. Xian Zihao suddenly lost his interest in observing the stones. He got up and walked to the half-collapsed entrance of the ancestral hall, looking at the broken ground beneath his feet. Suddenly, he glanced at the two flat rocks that were piled up at the base of the wall.
Although the ancestral hall had been built many years ago, under the protection of single maintenance five years ago, the wall in front of the entrance had once been made of cement and steel. Even if there was a crack in the wall, it wouldn't collapse so quickly.
Xian Zihao remained in his spot and looked around. He saw the Xian Residence's unique waterfall in the distance. The spring was gradually warming. The water from the waterfall splashed onto the moss-covered boulders and scattered in all directions.
Xian Zihao casually placed the two stones back in place.
"How is it, Young Master? Have you figured out the reason?" Uncle Ma asked.
Xian Zihao dusted his hands but didn't turn around. He indifferently glanced at the cement bag and didn't intend to see any more evidence of destruction.
