Chapter 842: Chapter 840-The Dangerous War Council.
'Ufff......that was good'
I thought while walking off after having satisfied Clara enough, her l.u.s.t being insatiable in a sense, but it also keeps us close. Among all the girls I have, Clara is the closest at heart, along with some others, but she lives with the truth of who I am. Soon, I will add and bless her into my kingdom, which would mean removing her existence from this world and filling it with mine.
Basically, I am taking her existence for myself. It's not something G.o.ds are usually capable of doing, only the G.o.ds of a certain level have this ability, as all lives technically fall under them. A special exception is given towards the G.o.ddess of Life and Death, the two of them having this ability but at a minor level that affects their own divinities.
In a full, pure form, I haven't reached the power level of the Creation G.o.ds, but I have certain abilities that they only command, making me a walking enigma within these lands. It also keeps the control of fate away from me, helping me break free from my already predetermined fate and, at the same time, allowing me to fight against others' fates.
Else, it wouldn't have been this easy to get and do all I wanted. Thus, after having settled a nice meeting and putting up a face-to-face love with Clara, I walk forth to meet Isabella at our mentioned time. Between this, I will also have to monitor the speed at which the plans are being implemented in the Archery a.s.sociation.
With the War Council's greed being shown and their desire to take control of the whole world's power again, they will just be looking for a single reason to bring down whole organisations to their knees. In my case, it will be more proactive for them, too, because if they can bring down the Archery a.s.sociation, they will be able to get me along with it, too. Strictly speaking, I belong and work with the Archery a.s.sociation, but as the higher command in all powers, I also, at times, have to answer to the War Council. However, I don't belong to them as a member. Thus, taking me away from the Archery a.s.sociation would give them a super genius who could perhaps rise to the top as their most precious symbol of hope would be their goal.
'Heck....they are already putting plans for it too.'
My eyes narrowed as I got in my hands some extremely important information that the War Council was planning regarding me. They have the same plan of turning me into a hero, but not in the way I want it. This type of hero would just end up being a puppet in their hands to boost the glory of the War Council and push their agendas.
The fight is a losing one for the side of Rehte. The War Council is indeed winning this war, at least, that's how it's being shown to the world. That's why the War Council is being tricked. This has boosted their ego and put forth their desire to get their top-level power back in their hands. In some of the plans they made, I could be a very huge help to them.
There is nothing more that brings people together than war. War unites many, but a situation of war that unites the whole world is something that grants the War Council its true powers. The world is turning a bit too peaceful from all the great protections of the War Council, and they want to make some changes to that.
They plan to let some of the members of Rehte go wild, cause some destruction, and then use that to unite all and gather more power. If I am used perfectly, I could perhaps become the cornerstone in their plans-a hero that will rise in times of trouble, clearing the corruption and helping the world recover from the tragic effects of this war.
I will be their perfect patsy for gathering people under their banner. Having a certain level of finesse and power that others don't have with them, with me, morale will boost, and the War Council will be able to move forward. Perfect in many ways, I am to their plans.
Handsome, has a good background, a great reputation, powerful in strength that seems unending, extremely talented, and not to mention being able to deal with corruption. With me by their side, their plans will get even smoother. For that, perhaps getting the chance to destroy the Archery a.s.sociation will be the best move for them.
Or even worse, without destroying it, they could take me away to the War Council or use my love for the Archery a.s.sociation to hold me hostage to their desires, turning me into their true puppet. Thus, the plan I will have to put forth should be stunning and perfect, so even the War Council will have no holes to poke through it.
The other Quiver Lords don't know it, but the situation is worse than they thought. Though the question would arise, why hasn't the War Council made any moves on me yet? I mean, they try to protect me all the time and ensure to monitor me. Getting me now to their side with some sweet deal would be the perfect way for them.
After all, to those old fogies in the War Council, I am still a young brat. Getting me under their thumb wouldn't be a bad way at all. It's mainly the fact that the plans haven't reached such a stage yet. There is still a long way before I am of any use to them. Even above that, the more incredible truth is that they are studying me.
The depth of secrets hidden within the War Council is vast. Their methods, powerful minds, and unspoken bloodline abilities are vast. They have already made mistakes across generations by being stubborn and not looking at the overall picture. But it would seem they don't want to make the same mistakes anymore.
They are studying me thoroughly, trying to understand me better than I understand myself, a.n.a.lysing me from all the depths they can. After that, they will strike. It's only when they have all the cards in their hands-when they know all my habits, all my hidden secrets, all my hidden weaknesses-that they will truly strike.
'And that's why I didn't show myself a lot to the world before.'
At the beginning of the academy, before I went all divine, after the first time I showed myself to the world, I turned silent. I didn't go out a lot, and I didn't show myself too much. Whenever I travelled, I travelled in secret, making sure to disguise myself and take the hard way of transportation instead of using all the great facilities and power I have as a faction leader.
It's all mainly due to the War Council. I have kept myself in the dark, rarely coming public, rarely going to cla.s.s, and rarely giving anyone the opening to get close to me from the outside who might be able to backstab me. Back then, I did it out of some fear and control for myself. I knew the War Council was looking at me, eyeing me, but back then, I didn't know why.
And when you don't know the reason, you will be as cautious as possible. I mean, I had some inkling info from the Dark Nights, but even then, I was always extremely careful, not wanting to do anything drastic unless I, too, had all the information I could use. Now, it has only paid me back in great ways I can use.
The truth has been known, and even above that, I walk in this realm of power now, capable of handling and seeing everything that comes my way at the level of mortals. Now I am more than capable of dealing with any kind of s.h.i.+t that comes my way, fully knowledgeable and ready to react to all the schemes of the War Council.
'Bring it on, old fogies. Whatever you throw at me will only make my reputation better.'
A small chuckle escaped my lips as I walked through the bustling crowd. My presence went completely unnoticed by everyone around me. This time, there was no need for disguises or techniques. I walked with my back straight, unbothered by the countless gazes pa.s.sing by. No longer did I require teleportation chambers or other methods-I could freely travel the
realms now.
With quick strides, a straight back, and a faint smile, I made my way through the crowded streets. Gradually, the number of people around me began to thin. Eventually, I arrived in front of a quiet café. The soft chime of the bell echoed as I pushed open the door and stepped inside. The place was completely empty.
I strolled forward with calm steps, settling into one of the comfortable chairs. My gaze wandered idly until it landed on someone taking a seat across from me.
Her presence immediately caught my attention, and I looked at her as she spoke.
"Hey, Mr Austin... we need to talk," Giriki said, her wide, shark-like teeth gleaming in an ominous smile.
