With the twins attacking simultaneously, and thanks to Grey who has already told them of the locations of the people they needed to attack, it was very easy for them to take out two of the strongest Sovereigns with just one attack each.
They've prepared for the attack for a while so when the opportunity arrived, they didn't hold back and attacked with everything they had. The duo they attacked didn't even have the chance to see what was happening before their visions faded. They died on the spot.
There was one Mid stage Sovereign left, and even though he was prepared for any potential attacks, he knew his chances of surviving weren't high. But seeing that only two people were present, he felt hopeful and looked at the Early stage Sovereigns that were with him. There were three who were in the Second stage, and one of them was in the Third stage. As long as they all attacked the duo together, there was no way she would be able to take him out.
With this thought in mind, he looked at them and ordered, "What are you waiting for, attack!"
The four Early stages Sovereigns brought out their puppets and tried to attack. This was the greatest mistake of their lives as Grey and his friends appeared at this exact moment. Grey cut off their links to their puppets making them immobile for a second or two. That was enough for his friends to kill them off.
The Mid stage Sovereign was left in shock. He never expected something like this to happen all of a sudden.
"You're Grey Dawson!" He yelled.
"And you're dead." The twins said and attacked. The man could barely fight against one of them, much less when both of them were attacking at the same time.
He could barely block their attacks before he was taken down. He didn't even have the strength to say anything else before he died.
"Thank you so much for your help." Grey showed his grat.i.tude to the twins.
"It's nothing, we're glad we could help our famous nephew out." The twins giggled.
Grey didn't know what to say and just left the conversation at that. Reynolds and Klaus on the other hand were able to have a good conversation with the twins, Alice included as they spoke about Grey's life. Grey couldn't even tell them to stop.
"We never knew he had to face such hards.h.i.+ps. Since he's here now, we'll make sure no one harms him." One of the twins felt pity for Grey after hearing about how he was left alone after his parents disappeared.
"Who would dare to harm him now other than the Necromancers?" Klaus couldn't help but say.
Yes, the twins were strong, but compared to Grey's parents, they were still lacking. If Grey was in the Third stage of the Sovereign Plane, he might even stand a chance against them with their current cultivation stage, so he isn't someone they could protect. Well, they were of help in this situation, but in the general scheme of things, they weren't all that important.
Grey looked at his friends and said, "We have to get moving, we still have another hideout to destroy before heading to the next region."
"There's another hideout here?" One of the twins asked.
"Yes, but the strongest person there is a Third stage Sovereign, we can deal with that." Grey replied.
"Oh, I see. Nephew, ensure you come visit before leaving. Mom and dad have been waiting to see you for a long time now." One of the twins said.
"Oh, and your mom is there as well, so don't think you will visit them alone." The other one of the twins said, and after that the duo vanished.
They knew Grey didn't have any plans of spending time with them. So even if they wanted to go with Grey and his friends, Grey wouldn't agree to it. They didn't want to make it seem like they were forcing themselves on Grey.
Grey didn't have any issues with them leaving, in fact, that was what he wanted to begin with.
"Why are you being mean to them?" Alice asked.
"My mother has refused to talk about her Family since my birth, do you think it's for no reason?" Grey raised his brow.
He might be curious about them, but he was also a smart person. There must be something ongoing between his mother and her Family that made her not want to talk about them. And since that was the case, he was going to let it be like that. Of course he would speak to her about his experience with the twins, but only if his mother agrees to it will he head over to her Family's manor.
The group headed for the next hideout, and this one was within their power. They didn't need to call for help and made short work of it. Within a minute or two, they were done with the battle. This was the place with the least amount of Sovereigns, so they were able to quickly handle it.
After handling all the hideouts present in this region, they opted to go for the next region.
They knew they wouldn't be able to wipe out all the Necromancers, but the more they killed, the better it was for humans. With each Necromancer killed, the survival rate of the humans would increase by a small margin. Especially with the number of Sovereigns getting killed.
Necromancers needed people in the same stage or with a higher cultivation stage to increase their strengths. This meant that for every Sovereign Plane Necromancer, there was a human Sovereign who had been killed to be turned into a puppet. Some Necromancers can have up to three or four puppets in the same stage as themselves.
Grey and his friends were doing the human world a ton of good.
While the group were killing Necromancers left and right, something else was brewing in the shadows.
