Chapter 1638 Kill Him
"Good stuff! Good stuff!" Klaus exclaimed.
Just the aroma alone was enough to do more for them than their personal daily cultivation has done in the past day or so. If they could get a share of this, their cultivation will surely soar at a frightening speed. "The Second Prince can't have this." Reynolds said with determination, he was prepared to fight for it. Grey smiled, "Of course not. It's going to be given to us as a show of good faith. Besides, he won't live long enough to benefit from it, so why don't we use it then." "Don't we still have to hand it over to him as some sort of formality?" Alice asked. "Not really. You see, I have a means to kill both the First and the Second Prince now. I'm just contemplating if I need to take out a powerful Elder as well." Grey grinned widely. The eyes of the trio widened, shocked that Grey could possess a method to kill the First Prince. To be honest, the only reason they were still here was because Grey still needed more time to be able to infect the First Prince with enough miasma to take him out. But now that Grey says he has a method, it means they would be able to leave as soon as possible. "How can you kill him?" Klaus was curious. He believed Grey could kill someone in the Sixth stage if he went all out, but a Seventh stage Sovereign might be out of reach for him, especially given the fact that the First Prince will also have a Ninth stage puppet with him. "Not in a fight, if that's what you're wondering." Grey brought out the flower, and the aura it released sent chills down the spines of everyone present, even Void and the bunny leader looked at it with horror. They could tell that the miasma inside could kill everyone present. "Put that away." Klaus retreated, covering the area with a white mist that solidified the invisible mist that was leaving the flower and headed towards them. Grey recalled the solidified miasma mist and forced it back into the flower. "Don't worry, I won't put you guys in danger you moron." He rolled his eyes. Among everyone, he was the only one who reacted in that manner. "I don't like that thing." Klaus eased up and scratched his head awkwardly. He has always hated miasma after his first encounter with it. So being this close to it and sensing the dangerous invisible mist headed towards him, he reacted instinctively. "Just admit that you're a wimpy boy and we'll get this over with." Reynolds chuckled. Klaus didn't respond to him, he looked at Grey and asked, "Can we get out of this place now?"
"Well, there will be a little issue on the way." Grey rubbed his hands together. "Which is?" Alice asked. "If I'm not wrong, these guys will want to intercept us on our way back to the Capital." Grey explained, he added when he noticed their expressions, "Well, just me actually. They don't know you guys, but once they do their research, they will have heard of you guys too." "So, we're not heading out, rather, we'll wait for the Second Prince to come pick us up." "Nice, I'm not ready to die for a Prince we want to kill." Klaus was glad with the thought of the Prince coming to pick them up. "Until then, we have to stay hidden. Staying here however is out of the picture." Grey could sense the people around searching for him. "Okay, we should head out." Reynolds said. "Yeah, but not together. I'll go out first and draw their attention to me. I'll tell Void when it'll be okay for you guys to leave." Grey wanted to ensure their safety. At least to a certain extent, him leaving first would lessen the suspicion on the trio. Of course, the Gnomes seeing other humans here would make them suspect they were a group, but given the fact that they were all interested in getting their hands on the item, as soon as Grey appears, they'll all go after him leaving the others alone. The others knew Grey's plan was correct. Besides in terms of escaping, Grey had a higher chance of escaping when he was alone. If he has to worry about others, it'll hold him back. After confirming the plan with the others and where they would meet up, Grey left the hiding place and he reappeared in the same place the Gnomes tracked him to. He didn't need to do too much, just a slight release of his aura, and then disappearing towards a certain direction made it all work out. Most of the top experts had already gone ahead to wait for him, but there were a few that were waiting around just in case something like this happened. ….
Outside the seven islands. A Sixth stage Sovereign sensed the presence of Grey's aura. He has seen him before and could tell who he was. "Hehe, luckily they're all gone. This kid is strong, but from what I can tell, he's not in the Fourth stage yet. I'll kill him and take the treasure." The Sixth stage Sovereign was confident in his abilities, and there was no way he believed anyone below the Fifth stage could fight against him, much less someone that was in the Third stage of the Sovereign Plane. He felt the reason Grey was able to escape on both occasions was due to him being able to catch them off-guard with the element of surprise. Now he's aware of Grey's s.p.a.ce element, and he was prepared for that to ensure there was no escape. The Sixth stage Sovereign's figure faded away as he gave chase. ….
Grey on the other hand had circled the entire place to ensure there were no hidden dangers. He could sense the presence of one Sixth stage Sovereign and three Fifth stage Sovereigns. Individually, he was confident that he could take them out, but all three Fifth stage Sovereigns were together. 'I'll kill the Sixth stage Sovereign first, that should put these guys off.'
The Sixth stage Sovereign was stronger, killing him will act as a deterrent to these Fifth stage Sovereigns which will put them off his back. They wouldn't want to chase someone that seemingly has the ability to kill them, and due to his mysteriousness, they don't know what he's capable of doing. Grey left the seven islands and headed further away from land. Heading in the direction he's supposed to will only increase the odds of being intercepted by others, so he wanted to kill off this guy above the sea. With no sight of land, he could at least deal with this guy and not think about anyone intervening in the fight. After getting to a certain point he knew that was safe enough, he stopped and entered the void. A few seconds after he entered the void, the figure of a Gnome appeared in a hurry. The Gnome looked around vigilantly. He might be confident in his abilities, but it didn't mean he would be careless. No matter the gap, he will always fight with his full strength and never underestimate his opponent. Grey confirmed that the others weren't coming anytime soon, so he stepped out of the void. "Why are you chasing me, do I have to remind you that this thing belongs to the Second Prince?" He asked calmly. "If it never gets there, there's no way it is his. I'll take it and hide in the human world for a few years." The Gnome laughed. There were multiple Gnomes in the human world, no one would question his presence there. "Is the life of your family worth just this much?" Grey shook his head, looking at the man in a disappointed manner. "Don't worry, you won't be privileged enough to hurt them, I'll kill you here myself." The Gnome didn't show any fear.
"If I were, I'd be scared." Grey said and attacked. The Gnome didn't expect Grey to make the first move. He wanted to a.s.sess the situation before attacking, but with Grey attacking first, he didn't have a choice. 'The others won't be able to catch up if I kill him fast enough.' After coming to this conclusion, the Gnome didn't hold back and fought back. Grey's attack might be strong, but as expected, he was a Third stage Sovereign while going up against a Sixth stage Sovereign, the gap in strength was ma.s.sive. Anyone else would be trampled. Grey blocked the Gnome's attack calmly, he didn't show any panic, he focused on blocking the attacks.
'As expected, a Sixth stage Sovereign is too strong.' He shook his head after the first three exchanges with the Gnome.
