Chapter 1669: Claws!
The man looked at Grey, he almost wanted to call him greedy, but thinking about the fact that Grey has eight elements, he didn't bother and just tapped on Grey's head.
"When you meet the person you want to give it to, just will it and it'll transfer to them." The man said, he looked at Grey and added, "On no account should you attempt to even mess with it. The second you touch it, it'll dissipate."
Seeing Grey's bland expression, he said, "No, I'm not lying. Do not touch it."
Grey sighed when he heard this. The moment the thing was pa.s.sed to him, the only thing in his head was how to figure out how it was possible. He has always been the curious type so he will want to get to the bottom of something like this, so not being able to get to the bottom of it made him uncomfortable.
The figure wanted to ask Grey how the world was now, but after giving it some thought, he didn't bother. This was just a wisp of his soul, what's the point of asking when he couldn't even do anything to change it. He couldn't even leave this room, much less leave this place.
He had a despondent expression on his face as he sent Grey away from the room.
"The world will be fine. I wonder how such a kid managed to appear, even in our time he will be unparalleled."
The man was shocked by Grey's ability to use eight elements, not just that, his use of arrays, his physical body, his attacks, they were all top notch no matter which time it was.
'The new will always overtake the old.'
….
Grey appeared in the Hall and saw Void and the bunny leader were having an argument, they were both very relaxed.
"Oh, you're back, good." Void turned to Grey and asked, "Between a rabbit and crow, which tastes better?"
Void's question took Grey by surprise, he didn't expect that the first thing he would be asked after returning was such meaningless questions.
"Rabbit." He replied regardless.
"What are you saying? Crows are the best!" The bunny leader wasn't in support of this, he looked at Grey and said, "Remember that crow soup you made? Have you eaten anything that delicious before?"
"Technically, its taste was enhanced by the ingredients used in the soup."
Grey didn't know when he became engrossed in their argument, a few minutes went by before he finally recalled that he had just gone through a gruesome process and wanted to know how long he had been gone.
"How long was I gone?" His question made the duo who were still in the heated argument turn to him.
"A few minutes." They both replied.
Grey's eyes almost bulged out when he heard this, "A few minutes?"
"Yes, why are you reacting that way?" Void didn't get why Grey was acting in that manner.
"Nothing. We should leave." Grey stood up and walked towards the door. He knew he could leave now, and there was no point in staying in this place any longer.
"Oh, what did you get?" Void asked as he appeared on Grey's shoulder, he didn't even want to know what the trial was, but he was a hundred percent certain that Grey pa.s.sed whatever it was.
"I can help someone increase their elemental grade. It's not that bad." Grey answered as they exited the Hall.
"Manageable." Void and the bunny leader didn't find it too interesting, it was a powerful reward, but it isn't something that caught their attention. Even Grey had the same reaction when he was told about it, so it's normal that they too have this same reaction.
….
Grey appeared outside the Hall and looked around, he took to the air and flew in the same direction he was originally going in before he saw this building. The scenery soon started to change, from its desert-like appearance to a more greenish appearance. There were more trees present in the place and after a while, Grey sensed the presence of something in the woods below.
Flying lower, he saw a Magical Beast lying lazily on the ground. The Magical Beast looked like a Bear, but it was smaller than a regular Bear and this one looked slightly chubby.
The Bear sensed the presence of something staring at it while it was basking in the sun, it opened one of its eyes and spied Grey, on seeing him, it closed its eyes and continued its sleep, acting oblivious to the person who just appeared.
Grey was a bit taken aback when he saw this, most Magical Beasts would have attacked the second they sensed him invading their s.p.a.ce, but this one obviously didn't care about him being there and just wanted to sleep.
He didn't know what to do as he watched the Bear continue sleeping. After a while, he left. There was nothing interesting to do with the Bear, nor did he sense any treasures around. The Bear itself might be special, but Grey already had enough Magical Beasts with him, he didn't need to add any other one.
Further into the place, he saw another building. He didn't delay and rushed to the ground. He opened the door, walking into a large Hall. This Hall looked different from the last one as there were no statues in it, rather, it was built like a place where weapons were made.
'I wonder if there's anything good here.' Grey thought to himself. The last time he got a good magical weapon, it was during the trip to the Faction that produced the last G.o.d Plane Elementalist in the Aurora Continent.
The place was empty, there were just workshops to make weapons but nothing else. Grey walked deeper into the place and saw a room. Heading into the room, he noticed that it didn't budge after he tried opening it.
He looked around, trying to see if there's any way to open it.
"Can you go to the other side?" He asked both Void and the bunny leader.
The duo focused, however, they didn't move.
"There's an array." The bunny leader replied.
Grey didn't sense the array when he tried to open the door, he couldn't help but wonder how strong the consciousness of the bunny leader and Void were. On multiple occasions, the duo has always been able to sense things faster than he ever has. He increased his focus and managed to sense the array. The intricacy of the array wasn't something he wasn't familiar with.
He has seen a few ancient arrays, so he was sure he could break through it.
After a while, Grey broke through it and the door, which was refusing to move, opened.
Grey walked into the room and saw the first thing he caught sight of were weapons lying around, some of them looked damaged, while there were a few who looked to be in a good condition. Elementalists rarely use elemental weapons after getting past the Arcane Plane, but on a few occasions, there are times they use them.
Elemental weapons are used to generally increase one's attack power when fighting. The only reason Elementalists don't use them too often is that they require a longer period of time to unleash attacks, although it's by barely a quarter of a second, that time is enough for the opponent to take one down.
If given enough time however, elemental weapons are very effective in combat. A sword can give one the advantage of having a sharper edge, easily using it to slice through things using elemental blade attacks.
Grey was about to pick up one of the swords when he caught sight of a box from the corner of his eyes.
"Oh." He mouthed as he walked towards the box, he looked at it and picked it up. The box wasn't large, around fifteen inches wide. He opened it and saw two gloves made from metal-like chains.
He picked them up and wore them on his hands, after channeling elemental essence into the gloves, they disappeared from sight and merged with his hands. The thought of the chain vest he got some years ago came to his mind as the gloves disappeared. He willed for it and it appeared, a thought came to his mind.
The gloves which appeared on his hands started to change and the tip of his fingers which were covered by the gloves grew large sharp claws.
'Nice, since I have dragon scales, it's only natural that I have claws as well.' This was the only thought in his head after getting the gloves.
Void and the bunny leader saw Grey creating claws for himself and couldn't help but wonder why that was the first thing that came to his head when he wore the gloves. The fact that the gloves can change its shape means it's slightly fluid which is a bit amazing thinking about it.
"How did you know it could change shape?"
