Chapter 216: Investigation of Yao Ran
Cheng Wei threw her bag onto the carpet as her body slammed against the back seat. Jaw clenched, she pounded her fists onto the car door, alerting the driver. “Drive to Cheng Zhou’s residence,” she said sharply. “Make it quick!”
A glance at the young heiress, and the driver already knew she was outraged by something.
“Of course, Miss,” he quickly said, increasing the speed. “Right away.” At this point, there was no talking with her.
Unless he wanted to die, he needed to get there as quickly as possible.
..
!!In a high-end residential area in City A, the peaceful air soon disrupted by a woman thundering down the stairs.
“Brother Cheng Zhou, you have to help me reason with them. Jiangdong Group looks down on our Cheng Family. Imagine this, you’re already in City A, and they don’t even have it in themselves to give you some face.”
Cheng Wei shook her brother’s arm, aggrieved by the situation.
The Jiangdong Group really didn’t know what to prioritize at this point.
Cheng Zhou had been gazing at this quarter’s financial statements. When he heard his sister’s chattering voice, he couldn’t help but pursed his lips.
Jiangdong Group?
Was that the pharmaceutical research and development group founded by Jiang Tian, the youngest son of the Jiang Family? What has that got to do with him? His frown deepened.
“Hm.” He simply nodded, turning on the next page.
However, the reaction wasn’t enough to please Cheng Wei. She held onto her brother’s arm as she gritted her teeth.
“Do they not understand that we are heirs and heiress of the Cheng Family? Do they have no respect for our family name? I’m a well-respected woman in my profession, and they kicked me out of that convention without a second look!”
Hatred flashed in her eyes. “It’s all because of that bint Yao Tang! If it weren’t for her, why would Master kick me out! That b.i.t.c.h just loves stealing the limelight away!”
Hearing the familiar name, Cheng Zhou froze and looked up.
Seeing that she had finally caught her brother’s attention, Cheng Wei continued, “That b.i.t.c.h manipulated Sixth Uncle to fall head over heels for her, and she even stole my teacher from me! She even embarra.s.sed me in public. How dare she?”
The more she spoke, the more agitated she became. Her fingernails dug deeper into his arm. Her eyes sparkled with anger and intense hatred for the woman in question.
Feeling a twinge of pain, he withdrew his arm.
“I’ll make a call.” He picked up his phone and stepped out of the room.
“Of course,” she quickly agreed. “I’ll wait here for you to come back, okay? Our family shouldn’t be bulled by that Jiang Tian! Hmph, how dare he?”
Cheng Zhou didn’t even listen to her rant as he strode out into the hallway.
“Phew!”
Cheng Wei exhaled, shaking her head in displeasure. There was just something about Yao Tangthat made her want to bang her head over and over again.
If her brother wouldn’t deal with this, then she had to take things to her own hands.
Cheng Wei reached out for the gla.s.s of water on the table. However, as her thoughts consumed her mind, she accidentally knocked the cup onto the table, spilling the water all over the piles of paper.
“c.r.a.p!”
She shrieked, quickly moving the doc.u.ments away.
However, as she glanced at the doc.u.ment, only to see Yao Tang’s name printed at the header.
Yao Tang?
What was her name doing in the doc.u.ment?
Do they know each other?
She glanced at the entire doc.u.ment where she could see the t.i.tle of the entire folder.
“Yao Ran’s Personal Information”
The folder contained detailed accounts of Yao Ran’s schooling from childhood to adulthood. The appears even detailed the names of their cla.s.smates and what they thought of her, as well as the awards she had won.
In the folder were also photos of Yao Ran from a young age.
However, as her gaze lowered, she noticed that another thing was highlighted. Just a few months ago, Yao Tang had been brought back from the countryside by her parents. She was the child of the second uncle of the Yao Family.
Upon further investigation, it turned out that her supposed parents weren’t even fertile. As such, Yao Tang’s ident.i.ty was very suspicious.
