Chapter 382: Full Marks
This was why Qin Man had wanted to introduce her Ranranto Yang Nian.
Only someone as of her background and ability was worthy of Yang Nian’s attention. Yao Tang wouldn’t even dare stand a chance against her daughter.
Just as she was about to speak, she heard Old Madam Yao continuing her chat with their guest. “I heard that your results are very good.”
Yang Nian smiled. “I’ve also heard that Yao Tang and Yao Ran’s scores were quite good too,” he responded, without confirming her statement.
He knew that Yao Ran’s scores weren’t bad.
!!From what he had also heard, she performed quite well in the Olympiad Math Compet.i.tion previously.
As for Yao Tang, he had only heard that she was occasionally top ten throughout the entire batch. Other than that, he didn’t really know much about her.
She had only gotten into the Top 10 ranks, yet she was extremely proud that she didn’t do her homework. His fingers drummed against the table.
If she continued to become extremely lax in her studies, she wouldn’t be able to make any progress and improve herself further. That’s why he didn’t seem impressed.
However, the old woman wasn’t even listening. All she could hear was Yang Nian praising her granddaughter. With a bright smile, she clasped onto her shoulder.
“Tangtang’s results aren’t good as yours. Don’t be modest. Ah! Have you also partic.i.p.ated in this year’s Olympiad Math Compet.i.tion?” she questioned.
He nodded.
“Tangtang, if you have any questions that you don’t understand, you can also ask Yang Nian for advice. He won the first prize in last year’s compet.i.tion,” she reminded. “You can learn a thing or two from him when you partic.i.p.ate in this compet.i.tion.”
Glancing at her grandmother’s eager gaze, Yao Tang had no other choice but to nod and agree.
Whether or not she was listening, however, was a completely different story.
However, Yang Nian couldn’t care less about her lazy appearance. “You’re also partic.i.p.ating in this year’s Olympiad Math Compet.i.tion?”
That meant that she had also pa.s.sed the selection process to partic.i.p.ate. It was an extremely rigorous process, so he didn’t expect that she’d be able to make it.
“She had done quite well! She even scored full marks!”
Grandma Yao patted Yao Tang’s hand, looking proud.
The latter, however, was still silent.
Yao Ran felt her heart tighten. She had expected that the old woman would mention the recent Youth Olympiad, as well as bring attention to Yao Tang’s results. It seemed that she wouldn’t be able to hide this anymore.
However, what she was concerned about was whether or not this new piece of information would make Yang Nian change his mind about Yao Tang.
As expected, the man’s eyes were filled with surprise upon hearing this revelation.
He had heard that there was someone who received full marks from City A, but he didn’t expect that woman would be none other than Yao Tang! It was an extremely small world.
But wasn’t it strange?
If she could get full marks from a test given by the prestigious Olympiad Math Compet.i.tion, then why did she only place Top 10 in her exam?
Could it be that she was simply bad at her linguistic subjects?
Yang Nian pursed his lips, feeling that there was something that he couldn’t quite get from this situation.
As the old woman continued to speak, his mind unraveled even more.
As he thought about it, Yang Nian couldn’t help but secretly stole a glance at Yao Tang. There was a hint of curiosity in his eyes, one so cleverly hidden that even Yao Ranfailed to notice it.
Yao Ran smiled to herself. It seemed that this information didn’t even garner his interest.
That’s right. What was she thinking?
He was a genius from Beijing International High School. Why would he be intimidated or even curious about someone like Yao Tang? The corners of her lips twitched up.
This full marks were nothing to him!
Her shoulders sagged in relief.
However, even then, she couldn’t help but grit her teeth as Old Madam Yao continued to talk. Yao Ranhad lived in the Yao Familyfor years!
Yao Tang didn’t spend as much time with her as she did. Yet, Grandma Yao still cared about her as if she was some pink diamond she had unearthed years ago.
This entire conversation—the old lady didn’t even mention her!
They were all just talking about how good Yao Tang’s grades are. Wasn’t she too biased?
