Chapter 453: Inspire or Intimidate
Translator: Tuiwen Editor: Tuiwen
“They attribute Yao Tang’s excellence to her teachers,” Xiao Liu ended his explanation.
The image of Xi Yanpopped up in his mind. Was it possibleYao Tang’s impressive results were all because of her?
He soon rejected the idea, however.
If Xi Yanwas that amazing, then she would have produced a good number of geniuses from Cla.s.s 20 a long time ago.
But the students’ scores had only started improving after Yao Tangcame into the picture, which meant that it had less to do with their form teacher and more with the transfer student.
!!Princ.i.p.al Kong looked like he was going to explode at any minute.
He had barely taken a respite from the last ordeal, and now, another one had fallen on his lap.
He struggled to compose himself.
Fortunately, this new situation didn’t involve anyone powerful, so they still had room to push back and make a stand.
Princ.i.p.al Kong took a deep, calming breath.
“Instruct the director to tell them that we hold no such standards over our teachers, much less our students. Tell them they must have had the wrong information.”
His voice rang out with a finality that showed he was unwilling to compromise.
Xiao Liu grimaced. “The thing is, they already know that the person they listened to isYao Tang. They also know that she is just a student. The only thing they don’t know is the fact that she is far more capable than our teachers.”
Princ.i.p.al Kong shut his eyes in frustration.
‘Oh, Yao Tang,Yao Tang. You really can’t hide your brilliance no matter where you go, can you?’
“Princ.i.p.al Kong, things may not be as bad as we think,” Xiao Liuadvised warily.
“Consider how Yao Tangwas able to attract a top student fromCity FNo. 1 High School. Isn’t this as good as payback for all the times they poached our best teachers over the last few years?”
His words were meant to rea.s.sure the princ.i.p.al, but the latter didn’t see it that way at all.
At that moment, only one thought was running in Princ.i.p.al Kong’s mind—Yao Tanghad caused trouble for him again!
“She usually kept a low profile, so how did these people discover her, anyway?”
He realized belatedly that he had said his sentiments out loud.
“She really doesn’t need to do much,” Xiao Liucommented. “It’s more of a feeling.Yao Tangjust gives off this aura that naturally appeals to other people. She either inspires or intimidates.”
“What are you talking about?” Princ.i.p.al Kongbarked. “Go on and scram! Do you think you’re still getting a bonus this year if someone poachesYao Tangfrom our school?”
Xiao Liu immediately turned serious. “No, you’re right, Yao Tang should have kept her skills under wraps.”
A moment of tense silence ensued.
After giving it some more thought, Xiao Liuspoke again.
“I really don’t think we should be worried about this. They came to our school because they like Yao Tangand wanted their young master to be her cla.s.smate. They aren’t planning to take her away. Instead, they brought another excellent student over.”
“You still have a long way to go,” Princ.i.p.al Kongsaid emphatically.
He had thought of this, too, but he was still worried.
Things always became unpredictable when it came to that girl.
“So you’re saying that we should just let the boy enroll in Yao Tang’s cla.s.s, right?” he grumbled after a while.
“There shouldn’t be a problem, Princ.i.p.al. You’re thinking too much.”
After all, Yao Tangwasn’t the type to actively seek trouble, in spite of her unmistakable strengths.
“On another note, Princ.i.p.al. Since Yao Tangis already giving remedial lectures to her cla.s.smates, why don’t we allow the other students to join as well? Perhaps she can help everyone to improve their academics.”
It would be an interesting endeavor, to be sure, and the results would be well worth it.
If everyone’s grades improved, then there was a high chance that the school would also move higher in the provincial rankings.
They might even double their acceptance rate for the college entrance exams!
Besides, with Yao Tang’s skills that surpa.s.sed that of the teachers themselves, it shouldn’t be a big deal to have more people under her tutelage, right?
