Chapter 455: Calling Yao Tanga Fraud
Translator: Tuiwen Editor: Tuiwen
Meanwhile, Yao Tang stared at the last message Princ.i.p.al Kong had sent and frowned.
What did he mean?
Was he angry?
Yao Tang pondered it for a brief moment, but when she still couldn’t figure it out, she decided to drop the matter altogether. She turned toLin Xinand asked, “How is your test paper coming along?”
Lin Xin instantly felt a sense of foreboding.
!!“Sister Tang,” she said warily, “What are you planning?”
Yao Tang blinked at her and shook her head, indicating that it was just a casual question.
“Well, never mind.”
Hearing this, Lin Xinheaved a sigh of relief and proceeded to fan her face, as if she had just narrowly escaped a disaster.
But then Yao Tangs.h.i.+fted in her seat to look atQin Jing. “Do you know many testsLin Xinhas finished?”
“What?” Qin Jinglooked up from her physics exercise. “She has one more left, right?”
Lin Xin grimaced and her shoulders dropped.
“Sister Tang, Qin Jingis so much more efficient than me. When I came over last time, she was already done with everything.”
“Is that so?” Yao Tangsmirked atQin Jing. “Why didn’t you tell me you were finished? I have more here.”
She took out three sets of paper from her desk compartment and placed them on Qin Jing’s desk.
“I’ll be counting on you on this one, okay?” she said, patting the other girl on the shoulder.
Qin Jing was left speechless.
Yan Wei heard the entire exchange from a few seats away. Her lips curled into a sneer.
“I’m really learning a lot of things these days,” she called out in a mocking tone.
“So now, a pile of trash can be given as a gift, and the other party would just accept it with open arms.”
Lin Xin andQin Jing, who were still lamenting their fates, both looked up and glared atYan Wei.
“Well, I learned that people can be utterly presumptuous and rude,” Qin Jingimmediately retorted. “They’re constantly running their mouths off, thinking they know everything when they don’t.”
Yan Wei flushed in outrage.
Seeing her reaction, Qin Jingleaned back against her seat and tilted her head to the side. “Wouldn’t you agree, Miss Yan?”
Yan Wei didn’t expectQin Jingto openly challenge her like this.
As if it wasn’t obvious enough that she had been talking about Yan Wei just now.
Unable to contain her anger, Yan Weimade to get out of her seat and walk over to confrontQin Jing, butYang Nianreached out to stop her at the last second.
She wasn’t about to let it go so easily, though.
“What exactly do you mean by that, Qin Jing? If you have the guts to say it, then say it properly.”
Yan Wei was pampered by her family, so she naturally couldn’t bear to suffer this kind of treatment.
Qin Jing was unfazed. She lookedYan Weiup and down and spoke in a slow, lazy tone.
“I meant exactly what I said. Are you reading more into my words, or are you simply too stupid to understand?”
Just like that, she had landed yet another blow at Yan Wei.
The latter was absolutely fuming at this point. She shot to her feet and slammed her fist on her desk.
“Did I say anything wrong? G.o.d knows where that b.u.mpkin got those test papers from, but she keeps taking credit for herself. It’s suspicious, no matter how you look at it!”
Basically, she was calling Yao Tanga fraud in front of the whole cla.s.s.
Yan Wei was still nursing a grudge after that last incident between them.
Seeing those d.a.m.n test papers again triggered something in her, and she wasn’t able to resist airing out her grievances.
Yan Wei had always been arrogant, even as a kid. It mostly had to do with her upbringing.
People flattered her constantly, trying to cozy up to her and earn her powerful family’s favor.
As such, she was conditioned to believe that she would have her way all the time, regardless of the circ.u.mstances.
This time was no different, and she expected her cla.s.smates to support her as she condemned Yao Tang.
