Chapter 859 - 859 A Paradise
859 A Paradise
Meng Yang gazed at the scenery before him in a complete daze. Had he entered his own dreams? Why did it feel like he was in a fairyland or something?
Was this a paradise?
He secretly pulled out his phone to take a picture of the door. However, when he saw the picture saved in his gallery, he was surprised to see nothing on his screen.
All he could see was a blank picture.
!!“Can’t this be filmed?”
He murmured under his breath and gazed at the door once again. He couldn’t help but see that the door had already cracked open.
Squeak!
The noise echoed across the room.
The door slowly opened, revealing puffs of cloud and mist. It really was as if they had shot up in the skies and lived on the clouds.
It was beautiful.
They had never seen anything like this before!
If they squinted their eyes, they could even see a mountain from afar. The stars glittered all above them, and they gaped in surprise.
“Heavens!”
Qin Hao exclaimed.
Wasn’t this the type of view they usually see in all the fantasy dramas he had watched?
Who knew that they were based on reality?
The celestial mountain was surrounded by clouds and mists. From afar, they could even hear the chirping echoes of the birds flying above them.
Wow!
For some reason, Qin Hao felt a sense of familiarity upon seeing the scenery. Thinking back, a memory flashed in his mind.
He seemed to have gone up here with Brother Cheng a year ago.
Brother Cheng had been injured on the top of this very mountain. That mountain was none other than Mt. Qingyue. They didn’t have any cell service then, and they had gotten lost on the way.
It was also since then that he started contacting Yao Tang.
Wasn’t that place so mysterious?
He slowly shook his head.
Yao Tang gazed at Mt. Qingyue, which appeared to be as beautiful as ever. It didn’t change from the last time she had seen it.
It was breathtaking. A slow smile spread across her lips.
Xiao Bing led them through the door.
Yao Tang didn’t wait for the crowd as she proceeded to head to the wooden house, located right at the top of the mountain. As she approached, she heard a burst of laughter echoing across the fields.
It was the voices of her grandparents.
Her grandparents had left five years ago, without leaving any traces. Since then, Yao Tang had been living in this small wooden house as she waited for their arrival.
Everyone said they were dead.
However, she didn’t believe it. She stood there and waited for her grandparents to come back and live like they were once before. Everything would turn back to normal.
Their lives would be carefree.
Now, they were sitting right in front of her, smiling at her.
“Tangtang,” one of them called out. “Was it fun down the mountain? We’ve been waiting for you for three months! Come. You’ve lost quite a lot of weight.”
The bearded old man sat on the porch. He was dressed in a black robe, almost similar to a celestial being. His eyes were bright.
While he appeared old, he still looked like he was full of energy.
Grandma smiled and reached out her hand. “My little sweetheart,” she gushed. “Come and let me see how much you’ve grown. I’ve missed you so much.”
Her eyes were crinkled.
There was a bowl of Yao Tang’s sweet soup on the table. The fragrance wafted all around them. It was a sweet potato! Her favorite.
She smiled. “It’s not fun without you guys.”
“I could tell.” The old man stroke his beard with a smile.
He pulled her into their house where she could see a bunch of chickens and rabbits right in their backyard.
“It’s been a few months since you’ve been gone, and you’ve already lost so much weight! The food outside must not be treating you well.”
The old lady frowned.
She couldn’t help but disapprove her thin wrists and thighs.
“I caught them all using my trap!” The old man laughed, patting his chest. “Come and let me see if your medicinal skills have improved in the last year.”
As he said that, he began pointing at the herbs on his cabinet one by one.
She explained everything, and a slow smile spread across his face. “Good job!”
“I’ve always been so proud of you.”
Everyone was exactly the same as before as if Yao Tang had never left the mountains. She smiled at her grandfather and grandmother, watching them hold each other by the side. This was paradise.
