Chapter 174: Reached a Consensus
Parents were coming into the cla.s.sroom one after another. Jiang Zeyu and Jiang Chenglang were not completely blocking the door.
Every parent who came in would first be impressed by the looks of these two people. Then, they would say “h.e.l.lo, Teacher Zhao” before going in.
Although the expressions of these two people were not very pleasant and they looked like they were about to murder each other, their looks were still first-cla.s.s. Moreover, one could see the similarity by looking at their brows. Although their styles were different, one could instantly recognize that these two were brothers.
Which student’s older brothers were these? They must be quite pampered to have their old siblings competing to hold a parent-teacher conference for them.
On the other hand, the atmosphere between Jiang Chenglang and Jiang Zeyu wasn’t very good.
!!After Jiang Zeyu finished speaking, Jiang Chenglang fell into deep thought.
He didn’t refute because he couldn’t find any reason to.
He really wanted to find a balance between Jiang Wan and Jiang Yu but after Jiang Yu had returned, he had not cared enough for Jiang Yu.
Jiang Zeyu was a different story.
He acknowledged Jiang Yu as his only sister. Jiang Chenglang had never seen him protect someone like this.
Jiang Chenglang felt an indescribable strange feeling in his heart.
It seemed like Jiang Zeyu didn’t know what Jiang Wan had done to Jiang Yu. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to say Jiang Wan’s name so calmly.
He might have even attacked Jiang Wan’s current residence.
Thinking of this, Jiang Chenglang felt even more guilty towards Jiang Yu. His att.i.tude towards Jiang Zeyu also became much gentler.
“Since you want to hold a parent-teacher conference for Xiao Yu so badly, fine. You don’t have to give it to me. Let’s do it together, okay?”
Jiang Chenglang took the initiative to give in. To show his sincerity, he continued, “I choose between the two of them. I deliberately made time for Xiao Yu today.”
“As her big brother, I too want to know more about her. After all, she’s living with the Jiang family now. I’m usually busy with work, so I don’t pay enough attention to her. There are many things that I haven’t noticed.”
“I want to take better care of her, so I’ve decided to come today. We both want the same thing. We both want to treat her well. Will you stop trying to chase me away now?”
The murderous look on Jiang Zeyu’s face disappeared.
He had always been a softie. Once Jiang Chenglang’s att.i.tude softened, he followed suit and became polite as well.
However, he still had to put on a show.
Jiang Zeyu’s face was cold as he reluctantly agreed. “Alright then. I’ll agree to it for the time being. Seeing how pitiful you are, let’s just forget it.”
The two brothers reached a consensus and raised their heads to look at Zhao Jiande together.
Of course, Zhao Jiande had been there to hear their intense discussion but the two brothers had been so imposing that he didn’t even dare to breathe loudly.
Now that the two of them had finally stopped fighting, for the time being, he said weakly, “Then… I’ll just get another chair and place it beside Jiang Yu’s seat…”
Anyway, it was just one extra chair in the aisle. It shouldn’t be a problem.
However, just as he finished his sentence, Zhao Jiande noticed the people behind the two brothers. He trembled and kept quiet.
Oh no, oh no, Jiang Yu’s adoptive father is here too!
Umm, umm, umm… Could he put another chair beside them?
Noticing that Zhao Jiande was looking behind them with a hint of nervousness in his eyes, Jiang Chenglang and Jiang Zeyu turned around and saw—
A man that they’ve both met before raised his hand and greeted them.
Jiang Chenglang: ???
Jiang Zeyu: ???
