Chapter 536: You Might as Well Move Back Into the Jiang Home
Jiang Zeyu thought that if his little sister didn’t want to come back to the house and Jiang Chenglang was staying with her, the only possible reason was that she didn’t want to come home and Jiang Chenglang was worried about her so he stayed by her side to take care of her.
If his little sister needed taking care of, and it wasn’t a fight…
Jiang Zeyu asked casually, “Is Little Sister drunk? Is she crazy from drinking, so that’s why she doesn’t want to come home? Why don’t you take her to a hotel?”
Jiang Chenglang said, “You’ve been reading a lot of mystery novels lately, huh?”
Although Jiang Zeyu had already figured out the truth, Jiang Chenglang would never tell him that he had guessed half of it correctly.
!!Jiang Zeyu said, “I’ve been very busy recently. Do I look like I have so much free time? I’m just making a reasonable guess!”
Jiang Chenglang lied without changing his expression. “Alright, it’s already so late. I don’t have time to continue playing guessing games with you. Xiao Yu still needs me. I’m hanging up.”
On the other end of the phone, Jiang Zeyu sneezed.
Jiang Chenglang frowned slightly. “Hurry up and go home. Don’t stay at the door anymore. It’s windy at night. Be careful not to catch a cold.”
Jiang Zeyu sniffled and scolded, “Stingy. Actually, you just want to be alone with Little Sister. Just you wait. I’ll convince her to come live with me!”
Jiang Chenglang said disdainfully, “I’ve already told you that your 100-square-meter house won’t do. You might as well move back into the Jiang home and come live with us instead.”
As soon as he said that, Jiang Chenglang was the first to be stunned.
On the other end of the phone, Jiang Zeyu was also silent.
The atmosphere was a little awkward for a moment.
After a while, Jiang Zeyu laughed and said, “Forget it. Since you’re not willing to tell me where you are, I can’t be bothered to ask anymore. Let’s just leave it at that. I’ll just ask Little Sister tomorrow. Hmph!”
After saying that, Jiang Zeyu hung up the phone.
Jiang Chenglang looked at the phone that had been hung up and was momentarily speechless.
He stood on the balcony for a while more and sighed slowly before returning to the living room.
Jiang Chenglang cursed in his heart. Stupid Little Brother.
He lay back down on the sofa.
It had to be said that the sofa was really too narrow. Jiang Chenglang had never slept on a bed that was so out of proportion to his body size ever since he was young.
He curled himself into a ball and changed his position several times. Finally, he found a relatively comfortable position. After cursing Feng Linbai in his heart again, he fell into a deep sleep.
…
The next day.
When Jiang Yu woke up, she was lost for a moment.
She looked around and slowly sat up. She felt that her surroundings seemed familiar. She felt like she had been here before, but she couldn’t remember where she was at the moment.
Jiang Yu hugged the blanket and rolled her eyes.
It wasn’t until she saw the familiar table and the photos on it that she remembered.
This was the original Jiang Yu’s room.
She was at the An residence.
But, why was she at the An residence?
Jiang Yu scratched her head and tried hard to search through her memories, but to no avail.
She slowly got out of bed, put on her sweater and coat, and opened the bedroom door with her slippers. She saw An Yimin coming out of the kitchen.
An Yimin carried a steaming bowl and said, “Yu Yu has woken up. I just made breakfast. Yu Yu, go wash up first. You can have breakfast after that. I’ve already prepared a toothbrush and a towel for you.”
Jiang Yu nodded and went to wash up first. When she sat down at the dining table, she did not forget the question that had been bothering her.
If she could not remember, she might as well ask him directly.
Jiang Yu asked, “Dad, how did I end up here last night?”
An Yimin: …D*mn. Looks like Yu Yu really doesn’t remember anything from last night..
