Chapter 542: You Weren’t Disciplined Well
“How are they compatible?”
Lu Che said unhappily, “There’s no way that Churan would fall for someone like Jiang Zeyu.”
The boy clicked his tongue. “Brother Che, are you so sure? Ji Churan is already so close to Jiang Zeyu. How can she not like him?
“If not…does she like you?”
Lu Che choked and turned his head away in embarra.s.sment.
!!“It can’t be, Brother Che,” the boy said in surprise, “Do you really like Ji Churan? But her family background isn’t that good. Why would you like this kind of poor thing who has nothing to show for herself other than her grades?”
Lu Che glared at him. “So what if her family background isn’t good? It’s not something she can decide.”
“Then it seems that you don’t know much about her family at all… ” the boy pursed his lips. He patted Lu Che on the shoulder and said earnestly, “Brother Che, listen to me. You can turn back now.”
Lu Che was puzzled. “Why do you say that?”
The boy did not have time to care about the meaning behind Lu Che’s words. He had already admitted that he had other feelings for Ji Churan. He whispered into Lu Che’s ear, “To tell you the truth, Brother Che, Ji Churan and I were in junior high school together. Because she was good-looking and her grades were good, many people were chasing after her. One of my buddies was one of her suitors.
“Then, one day after school, my buddy secretly followed her home. Guess what happened?”
The boy stopped talking at this point as if he was deliberately keeping Lu Che in suspense.
Lu Che’s curiosity was successfully aroused. His heart quivered as he asked, “Then what happened?”
“Then…”
The boy glanced through the corner of his eyes and suddenly saw a figure.
He looked out of the cla.s.sroom in a daze and mumbled, “And then he came…”
Lu Che asked, “He came? Who came?”
The boy patted Lu Che’s shoulder again, wanting to say something but stopping mid-sentence. He pointed to the door and said, “You’ll know when you see it.”
Lu Che turned his head and saw a man walking aggressively from the end of the corridor toward Ji Churan and Jiang Zeyu.
Ji Churan and Jiang Zeyu were still talking when the man suddenly stood in front of them and reached out his hand to grab Ji Churan.
Jiang Zeyu noticed the man’s movement and pushed Ji Churan aside.
Seeing that the man was still grabbing at him, Jiang Zeyu took a step forward and s.h.i.+elded Ji Churan.
He raised his chin and inched toward the man, his tone unfriendly. “Who are you? Don’t you have eyes?”
The man was wearing a plaid s.h.i.+rt and trousers. His limbs were not fat, but he had a beer belly.
Seeing that Jiang Zeyu was not very friendly, the man was even more dissatisfied. He pointed at himself and said, “Who am I? Why don’t you ask the person behind you? Stupid girl, get out here!”
Hearing the man’s address, Jiang Zeyu frowned.
Stupid girl?
Who was he calling stupid?
Ji Churan?
It seemed like the man and Ji Churan knew each other, but seeing his hostile att.i.tude, he couldn’t just stand by and watch.
Otherwise, what kind of man would he be if he just pushed a little girl out to welcome such a good-for-nothing?
Jiang Zeyu didn’t move aside. He still said with a stingy att.i.tude, “We’re in school right now. Watch your words.”
The man said, “You want me to watch my words? I’m your elder! How can you be so rude to your elders? It’s obvious that you weren’t disciplined well!”
