Chapter 66: This Much I Can Stand
On the other side of the door.
Jiang Xingyi and Jiang Zeyu were still waiting.
Jiang Zeyu had his legs crossed, looking casual. He had never waited for a girl before, so he didn’t know that it would take so long for a girl to dress up.
Jiang Zeyu looked at the clock on the wall in boredom and yawned. “How much longer is this going to take?”
Jiang Xingyi sat on the other side of the sofa and casually flipped through the fas.h.i.+on magazines on the coffee table. He replied simply, “Just wait.”
!!Jiang Zeyu pursed his lips and didn’t say anything.
He turned on his phone screen, then turned it off, then turned it on again, then turned it off again. Every time the screen lit up, a WeChat message would appear in the middle of the screen.
Jiang Zeyu felt really bored, so he clicked into the WeChat dialog box and sent a message. “Don’t be noisy. I’m very busy.”
The other party replied in a very wronged manner. “Brother Yu, I’m just concerned about you.”
Jiang Zeyu looked at the long list of questions in front of him, such as, “Brother Yu, what’s going on now? Have you chosen the clothes? What about the top half of your little sister? Are you guys done?”, and so on. He replied lazily with a single word.
“No.”
The other party: ?? No? What do you mean no?
Brother Yu wasn’t looking for him, which could only mean that he didn’t need him anymore.
He couldn’t have suddenly become omniscient, right?
Moreover, he had clearly been seeking outside help just now. Could it be that he had other helpers now?
The other helper stopped flipping through the fas.h.i.+on magazines, leaned back on the sofa, and asked casually, “I heard that you and Little Sister are in the same cla.s.s?”
Jiang Zeyu answered vaguely.
“You definitely can’t help her with her studies. If people are bullying her in school, you can help.”
Jiang Zeyu was very confident about this.
“Don’t worry. With me around, no one will dare to bully her.”
“Yes.” Jiang Xingyi said in affirmation. “That’s all you can do.”
Jiang Zeyu rolled his eyes again and couldn’t be bothered with him.
Jiang Xingyi crossed his hands and put them on his knees. He asked casually, “You used to race a lot. Why don’t you go anymore?”
Jiang Xingyi knew of Jiang Zeyu’s fame on the racing track. He also knew that he hadn’t heard his name in any of the recent car races.
“I’ve quit.” Jiang Zeyu lowered his head and rubbed his fingers. “Now I just want to study hard and get into a university.”
“Oh…”
Jiang Xingyi dragged out his last syllable. “Last place?”
“So what?” Jiang Zeyu said in a sarcastic tone, “I didn’t know that you had the time to care about my grades while you were on tour.”
“I’m not concerned. I just want to know who is in the last place in grade three of A Highschool and see if you managed to hold on to your throne.”
Jiang Zeyu: “… You talk as if your grades were good.”
“Better than you.”
Jiang Zeyu: cold stare
“But then again…” Jiang Xingyi retorted, “How did you know that I was on tour?”
The words “so you do care about me” were written across Jiang Xingyi’s face.
Jiang Zeyu raised his voice and to deny it, “Please, there are posters everywhere on the street. It’s hard for me to not see them, okay? Do you think I want to care about you?”
“No.”
“Then don’t flatter yourself.”
As the two of them continued to argue, the door opened and two people walked out, but the two brothers did not notice them.
