Chapter 34
Shameless
Yun – femme fatale – Ran didn’t know that someone had written a small essay about her in his heart.
After waiting for a long time without hearing him speak, she turned around and went to find Thunderbolt.
She was not familiar with the Demonic Beast Forest, so she did not know where the Jade Phosphorus Snake lived. How long would it take to find such a huge forest?
She could only ask Thunderbolt and the others.
“Do any of you know where the nest of the Pythons is?”
Thunderbolt paused. “Miss Yun, are you going to find the Green Phosphorus Snake?”
Yun Ran nodded. “I’ve never seen it before. I’m curious. I want to see what this snake they’re talking about looks like.”
Thunderbolt looked in the direction of Mo Beiyuan. “I’m not sure either, but if His Highness gives the order, we can investigate the whereabouts of the Jade Phosphorus Snake.”
Mo Beiyuan’s eyes darkened as he listened to the conversation between Yun Ran and Thunderbolt. Did this woman say she wanted to find the Jade Phosphorus Snake?
When Yun Ran came over to ask if he could get the secret guards to help find the Jade Phosphorus Snake’s nest, he asked, “Why are you looking for the Jade Phosphorus Snake? Is it because of Mo Jinyu?”
Was this woman jealous because Mo Jinyu wanted to give the Green Phosphorus Snake’s reverse scale to please Yun Qingqing?
Yun Ran did not know the hidden meaning behind his words. She nodded openly and admitted that she had indeed thought of s.n.a.t.c.hing the Green Phosphorus Snake’s reverse scale because of Mo Jinyu.
Mo Beiyuan was so angry that he laughed at her answer. He sneered coldly, “Didn’t you say that you like freedom? Are you not free when you’re by my side? Do you prefer to be raised by Mo Jinyu in the dark? Is being a mistress who can’t see the light of day what you meant when you exalted your so-called freedom?”
Yun Ran was speechless.
“Mo Beiyuan, what do you mean?”
Why did Yun Ran find his words so sarcastic?
Mo Beiyuan’s eyes were dark and bottomless. The thought of this woman fawning over Mo Jinyu made him very unhappy.
He pa.s.sed Sweetcake to Thunderbolt.
Then, he summoned the Red-Winged Flying Dragon and carried Yun Ran up.
Yun Ran was also annoyed by his sudden rude and overbearing actions. She was the queen of mercenaries in the apocalypse after all.
“Mo Beiyuan, who asked you to carry me up? Did I agree?”
With that, she tried to jump down but pulled her foot back after scanning the height.
The Red-Winged Flying Dragon happened to shake its wings and tilt causing Yun Ran to lose her balance and fall forward.
Mo Beiyuan was quick. He jumped up and stretched out his long arm, pulling her into his arms.
“Can’t you behave yourself, woman?”
Yun Ran knew that if he hadn’t intervened, she would have fallen to the ground. She was not so stubborn when it came to her savior.
“Why did you drag me up here?”
In a moment of desperation, Mo Beiyuan had forgotten that the two of them could not approach each other.
At this moment, she was suddenly in his arms. He could smell the faint fragrance on her body. The Gu poison in his body immediately stirred.
Yun Ran also realized that it was not safe for the two of them to be too close at this moment, so she wanted to stay away from him.
But her movement was undoubtedly lighting a fire for Mo Beiyuan.
A dull groan came from behind. “Don’t… move!”
Yun Ran bit her lip. She was too embarra.s.sed to laugh at him because her body was not much stronger than his.
The two of them gradually separated a little and eased up a little.
After so many accidents, Yun Ran wasn’t as embarra.s.sed as before.
She took a few deep breaths and glanced at him. “You can’t blame me for what happened. Blame yourself for suddenly dragging me up here. I’m a victim.”
Mo Beiyuan’s cold and deep eyes swept toward her. He had underestimated this woman’s influence on him.
