Chapter 314 - 314 Equipment Experience
314 Equipment Experience
“Son, how are you? Are you tired from work?”
Wu Mo stood up and walked to the window. He looked at the irregular clouds in the sky and told his mother about his recent experiences, including the exhibition and the awards.
On the other end of the phone, Fang Huilan was overjoyed to hear that her son was doing well. However, she still reminded Wu Mo to take care of his health after work and to strike a balance between work and rest so that he could go further.
“I know, Mom. I’ll take care of my health. It’ll be New Year’s in two months. I’ll be back early.”
Wu Mo could not help but smile as he listened to his mother’s words carefully.
“Okay, be careful when you work outside.”
After Wu Mo responded, his mother ended the call.
Leaning against the window and looking at the busy armory outside, Wu Mo heaved a sigh of relief.
Ever since he entered the Fifth Research Department, he had been busy with work. He barely called home a few times a month. Wu Mo felt a little guilty. Apart from material goods, he did not provide the company that a son should have.
However, when he heard that his parents’ life was not bad, the thorn in his heart disappeared.
“Forget it, let’s stop dwelling on this. I’ll go to the research and development plant to familiarize myself with it and see if I need anything.” Wu Mo stretched his back and said to himself.
Even though he was only working at Armory No. 64 for two months, he still needed good office equipment.
After putting on his coat, Wu Mo went out and walked straight in the direction of the research facility.
He also saw many employees in the dormitory building.
Those people were basically over 35 years old, and some of them had gray sideburns.
Wu Mo was rather conspicuous in this place.
Just like the Fifth Research Department, those who could enter the armory with their own abilities were all incredibly skilled.
However, forging techniques required a long period of learning. Those who could meet the standards and be recruited were all blacksmiths of five stars and above. Naturally, they were not very young.
Not long after, Wu Mo arrived outside the dormitory building. However, before he could open the map and navigate, his stomach suddenly made a growling sound.
“Uh… I need to have a meal first.”
It was 10 o’clock in the morning when he left the Fifth Research Department and past noon when he arrived at Lone Wolf’s ward.
By the time they got to Armory No. 64 from Renhe Medical Center, it was already two in the afternoon.
Looking at the sun in the sky, which was not as glaring as before, Wu Mo suddenly smiled bitterly.
Everything was good about being a researcher, but time was of the essence, and he had forgotten to eat. To Wu Mo, this was a common occurrence.
Following the navigation, Wu Mo finally arrived at the armory’s cafeteria after taking a few turns.
It was only then that he had a clear idea of the armory’s real size.
It was more than twice the size of the Fifth Research Department.
He saw all kinds of factories, one after another, and the buzzing sound of the working machines was endless.
After entering the cafeteria, Wu Mo ordered a few appetizers and found a place to sit down.
The armory was an organization under the military’s command, so he could order the food with his eyes closed.
Not long after he sat down, he was served a fragrant meal. Wu Mo picked up the chopsticks and eliminated his hunger.
Twenty minutes later, he left the cafeteria, satisfied.
The cafeteria in this division was not far from the core research facility. So, this time, Wu Mo did not need navigation to find the location.
From his pocket, he took out the doc.u.ments that he had gotten in order this afternoon and handed them to the security guard. After the guard checked them carefully, he was allowed to pa.s.s.
Once he entered the research facility, a Misty Array appeared before him.
There were security checks on both sides. Not only did he have to put his personal items into the security machine, but he also had to go through the machine before he could enter.
The two layers of security and vision-isolating array increased the security and privacy of the research facility.
Even if there were people there with ill intentions, they definitely would not do anything that would harm the research facility’s interests.
After pa.s.sing through the thick fog, Wu Mo successfully entered the research facility.
Even though he was mentally prepared, he was still shocked when he saw the scene before him that looked like something out of a sci-fi movie, especially the huge instruments that were seven to eight meters tall and the central control console that had countless pipes that went deep into the ground.
The lights above lit up the place. Countless people in special work clothes shuttled through, and from time to time, he could hear the sound of air jets.
Such an immersive experience made Wu Mo’s heart restless.
“I’ll only start the quality control work in two days. Since I have time now, I might as well try out the equipment first.”
After mumbling to himself, Wu Mo’s face immediately revealed an excited smile.
He quickened his pace and found his work area based on the number plate.
Wu Mo took out his key and opened the door to the workshop. Everything within was exposed to him.
It was a reasonably-arranged office that was more than 10 square meters.
The room was fully equipped, including a bookshelf in the corner and a black file basket beside the computer desk.
There was an ergonomic chair and a high-performance computer. There was even a pot of white flowers on the window sill as decoration.
The carpet was thick, and the couch was soft. Such infrastructure was already better than those in so-called elite office buildings.
After closing the door, Wu Mo immediately went to the computer desk, turned on the computer, and inserted the USB that he carried with him. Then he imported the Three-dimensional Maneuver Gear’s model data into the hard disk.
Before long, the computer screen showed the final version of the model that Wu Mo had developed.
He touched his chin and admired the masterpiece that he had spent more than a month working on. Then, he got up and left the workshop, locking it from the inside.
Now that the hardware problem of the instrument had been solved, the materials were not a problem for the armory.
He just needed to familiarize himself with the equipment here. Once he understood the main high-tech equipment, it would be time to cast the Three-dimensional Maneuver Gear.
However, there were too many high-tech instruments in the research and development plant, so there was not enough time to experience each of them. Moreover, some of the instruments had similar effects, but they were used in different scenarios.
Therefore, Wu Mo only chose a dozen or so pieces of equipment that he was most curious about.
After a few minutes of waiting in line, Wu Mo was given temporary access to the first device.
The instrument in front of him was three meters tall and more than two meters wide.
The outer sh.e.l.l of the instrument was cast from fine iron, and there were basically no gaps. There was only an entrance and exit about 60 centimeters in length and width left directly below the instrument, which was used to put in materials and output finished products.
