Chapter 355 - 355 Conversation
355 Conversation
Wu Mo did not know what w.a.n.g Qiuhan was thinking.
After he finished adjusting the mode with a serious expression, he immediately took out the materials that had been initially smelted from the Interspatial Ring.
He inserted all of them into the port at the bottom of the forging apparatus and pressed the run b.u.t.ton.
Then, a buzzing sound came from the inside of the instrument. Wu Mo glanced at the LCD screen above, and the red words, “working ” were displayed.
The forging apparatus consumed a lot of energy, and this energy was transmitted through the pipes in the center console.
The special steam that contained energy was used up by the forging apparatus’ internal power system.
The steam, which was the energy medium, would then be transformed into white smoke and transported back underground through the pipes, forming a complete energy transmission closed loop.
However, a small part of the white steam still drifted out through the gaps in the metal sh.e.l.l.
Fortunately, the research facility had a complete air filtration system, so the leaked steam would not stay in the building for long.
Looking at the rising white steam under the light, w.a.n.g Qiuhan pondered for a moment and broke the silence.
“You’ve been working so late every day because of work. Have you never thought about taking a break?” w.a.n.g Qiuhan smiled and said with a curious expression.
She did not understand. Wu Mo was clearly at the age where one loved to play and fool around, but not only was he mature and unlike a young man, but his att.i.tude toward work was also comparable to that of a workaholic.
If it were her, she would not have been able to hold on for so long if she had to face such heavy pressure and workloads every day.
Therefore, w.a.n.g Qiuhan was puzzled. What experiences had made Wu Mo not even frown when facing tremendous pressure and seemingly impossible tasks?
There were a few people around in the quiet research facility. Everyone was busy with their work with their heads lowered, and no one noticed Wu Mo as well as w.a.n.g Qiuhan.
Looking at the seven-minute countdown, Wu Mo turned back and looked at w.a.n.g Qiuhan with a smile.
“There’s nothing special about it. Maybe I’m used to this kind of fast-paced life because I’ve experienced it many times.”
Looking at her bright eyes and delicate features, he pointed at the waiting area on the side and kindly reminded, “It’s really tiring to stand. Let’s go over there and rest for a while.”
w.a.n.g Qiuhan looked to the side at the few seats not far away. Then she nodded and immediately walked over.
Even though the forging apparatus only took about 10 minutes to work each time, it was quite exhausting to just stand there and wait.
Besides, blacksmiths did not have the strong bodies of cultivators. Their bodies were like that of normal people, and their physical strength was destined to not be much better.
Soon, the two of them were seated on the bench.
This time, Wu Mo was the first to speak.
“Senior Qiuhan, your current strength should be close to the middle stage of the six-star rank, right?” Wu Mo guessed as he felt the spirit energy from her body.
“You could say I’ve barely touched the threshold of the middle stage. Instead, I’ve been stuck in the early stages of the six-star rank for more than three years. That kind of cultivation speed is definitely nothing to you.”
w.a.n.g Qiuhan sighed and looked at Wu Mo with envy.
If she had the same comprehension skills as Wu Mo, she would not be stuck in the early stage of the six-star rank at the age of thirty-five.
“Senior Qiuhan, there’s something I don’t know if I should say…”
Seeing that she seemed a little disappointed, Wu Mo looked up at the bright light on the ceiling and spoke in a comforting tone.
w.a.n.g Qiuhan’s eyes glinted, and she nodded slightly.
Seeing that she had the intention to continue listening, Wu Mo immediately said what was on his mind.
“In my opinion, you’re in no way weak in terms of talent, Senior Qiuhan. There’s no need to belittle yourself.
“Looking back at the hundred years of forging history, the number of cultivators who’ve reached the six-star rank before the age of thirty-five is incredibly rare. Not to mention, you have more abundant spirit power than other cultivators of the same rank. It’s obvious that your basic skills were very solid when you first learned forging.”
Wu Mo looked at the almost empty research facility and spoke in a serious tone.
w.a.n.g Qiuhan was a little taken aback to hear Wu Mo’s evaluation of her as she sat on the dark red wooden bench.
Her mouth was slightly open, and her beautiful eyes were filled with confusion.
Soon, her surroundings fell into silence, and after a few seconds, w.a.n.g Qiuhan immediately burst out laughing.
“My spirit power is more abundant than others of the same rank? Haha, how did you discover that?”
w.a.n.g Qiuhan was quite surprised. This was only her third time meeting Wu Mo, and they had only been conversing for 10 minutes.
In just a few minutes, Wu Mo was able to detect the difference in her mind.
One could say that his skills of perception were amazing.
w.a.n.g Qiuhan had an increasing feeling that Wu Mo’s true abilities were not as simple as she thought.
In her opinion, he was even more mysterious than those master blacksmiths who were close to the seven-star rank.
Facing w.a.n.g Qiuhan’s bewildered look at the center of the research facility, Wu Mo explained with a smile, “Of course, it’s based on my senses. Although my spirit power isn’t enough to break through the divine barrier around your consciousness, I can judge its defensive ability based on the level of spirit power consumption.
“From there, I’m able to understand your true spirit power.”
w.a.n.g Qiuhan suddenly had a look of interest when she heard Wu Mo’s reply.
“I have to say that you’re the smartest and most special young man I’ve ever met.”
She smiled and gave Wu Mo a thumbs up, praising him generously.
“But there’s something I think we still need to discuss.”
All of a sudden, w.a.n.g Qiuhan’s face appeared serious again as if she was about to explain something important.
Seeing w.a.n.g Qiuhan’s 180-degree change in att.i.tude, Wu Mo schooled his face. “Um… what’s the matter?”
w.a.n.g Qiuhan’s pretty face was tense. After looking at Wu Mo for two seconds, she smiled and said, “I’ve already told you about the way you can address me. You can just call me Qiuhan.
“I can’t stand the t.i.tle of ‘senior.'”
Wu Mo was speechless when he heard her nonsensical words.
He did not expect w.a.n.g Qiuhan to have such an outgoing personality. It was completely different from what he had expected.
“Alright…”
Wu Mo shrugged. Although he was not good at comforting people, he had achieved his goal since w.a.n.g Qiuhan was cheerful again.
“Well then, you can rest first. I’ll continue forging the materials.”
Standing up from the bench, Wu Mo parted with w.a.n.g Qiuhan and quickly walked toward the forging apparatus.
He left with his back facing w.a.n.g Qiuhan, and her smile immediately disappeared as she looked on.
