Chapter 50 - 50 You Promised To Wear It For Me!
50 You Promised To Wear It For Me!
In Luo Feng’s memory, Teacher Zhang and Teacher Yu have never gotten along. Perhaps it was because the two of them are similar in age and experience, the compet.i.tive awards will always collide.
In addition, the two of them were both form teachers. The cla.s.s they were in charge of was only separated by a wall, so it was inevitable that they would secretly compete seriously.
Luo Feng was originally wondering why his teacher suddenly wanted him to tutor the entire cla.s.s. However, he immediately understood when he saw Teacher Zhang’s arrogant appearance.
“Teacher Yu, are you mobilizing your cla.s.smate Ai Tingya again?” Teacher Zhang teased. “Ai Tingya is already working very hard. Don’t give the student too much pressure. The other students might need more guidance.”
In other words— Why are you so biased? You only look at those with good results and don’t see those with bad results.
Teacher Yu glared at him angrily and happened to see a stack of papers under his arm.
The last sprint of the third year of high school was nothing more than doing questions. The teachers of each subject would collect the real questions from the previous years or get the targeted papers from the private school if they were related.
When Teacher Yu saw the words “Provincial High School” on the paper, she felt very upset.
Teacher Zhang intentionally or unintentionally flaunted the paper in his hand. He felt that what he had said just now was not satisfying enough and said, “Teacher Yu, you only have two top students. The rest are mostly ordinary students. Don’t let the children’s three years of hard work down.”
With that, he left proudly with the papers.
Luo Feng waited for Teacher Zhang to walk away before glancing into the office. Teacher Yu looked at the lesson plan and sighed. She, who was usually unforgiving with her words, rarely said a word in the face of Teacher Zhang’s provocation.
Even though Cla.s.s One was ranked first or second in the cohort, the average score of the cla.s.s was still lower than Cla.s.s Two’s. This meant that there was a huge difference between the students. Teacher Zhang blamed this on the fact that Teacher Yu only valued Luo Feng, Ai Tingya.
Teacher Yu was speechless. It was not that she had never thought of helping to improve the average score, but she could not get good real questions. She could only watch as Teacher Zhang moved sets of good questions to his own cla.s.s.
Luo Feng looked at Teacher Yu’s lonely back view as if she was an old monk meditating. He suddenly understood why she wanted him to tutor the cla.s.s.
Luo Feng returned to cla.s.s. Ai Tingya pulled him to his seat when saw him return.
“Where did you go? I couldn’t find you anywhere,” Ai Tingya said.
“I just went to the store to eat something. Why are you looking for me?” Luo Feng asked even though he knew the answer.
Ai Tingya bit her lip and hesitated for a moment before telling him what had happened in the office.
He revealed an ambiguous smile and said, “What do you want me to do?”
Ai Tingya said foolishly, “Of course I hope you can help our cla.s.smates, but you’re the one who’s busy and it will take up your time, so you still have to make the decision yourself. However, I’ll support you no matter what you do!”
She fully respected Luo Feng’s choice and was only a messenger.
Luo Feng felt a little disappointed. He felt that Ai Tingya didn’t understand why Teacher Yu looked for her. At a time like this, he would definitely agree if she acted coquettishly with him.
The scene he imagined didn’t appear, so Luo Feng could only do it himself.
He frowned and pretended to be troubled. “It’s not impossible to agree… But you have to agree to one condition.”
“What condition?”
“What should you call me at a time like this?”
“…Sweetheart, what’s the condition?” Ai Tingya felt that Luo Feng was teasing her again.
Luo Feng thought about it and said, “The uniforms are almost ready. Try them on for me.”
Ai Tingya thought that it was something serious. That was it? She would try it even without him saying anything. She had to go to the milk tea shop to help in the future after all.
“I promise you,” she answered innocently.
“Sure” Luo Feng grinned, “Tomorrow I’ll let Lei Jin go back to his home alone.”
…
The next night.
Ai Tingya looked at the few pieces of tender-colored fabric on Luo Feng’s bed, but they didn’t look like proper clothes at all.
“Is this the uniform you found?”
She felt that she had overestimated Luo Feng’s taste. She wouldn’t have agreed so easily if she had asked a few more questions yesterday. As expected, Luo Feng didn’t hold back his f*rts.
Luo Feng chuckled as he picked up a piece of lolitha clothing and said, “These are just samples. I’ll prepare to ma.s.s produce them only if you look good in them.”
Of course, it won’t be ma.s.s-produced. Luo Feng spent a bomb to get these clothes overnight. Lolita’s puffy shoulder sleeves? No! Change them into straps! The maid’s skirt was cut in half, and the back is made into bare-back straps. The cheongsam was slit up to the thigh, and there was a black silk professional suit!
“I don’t want it!” Ai Tingya rejected decisively. “You really did not go to a proper shop!”
“But you promised me yesterday.” Luo Feng said pitifully, “I’ll still do it even if you go back on your word but are you really not going to reward me?”
Ai Tingya choked. She had always been amenable to coaxing but not coercion. Luo Feng retreated in order to advance and put her on low moral ground.
“No… Not wearing it.” Ai Tingya looked determined, but her heart had already waived.
“Alright, then let’s start tutoring” Luo Feng didn’t say anything else as he sat down and opened his book.
A trace of disappointment flashed across Ai Tingya’s face. What was wrong with Luo Feng? He should be forcing himself on her now. Father and Mother Luo were staying at a relative’s house and won’t be back until tomorrow and Lei Jin was not here after all…
A man and a woman in the same room. With the right time, place, and people, how could Luo Feng study even with his strong willpower?
Ai Tingya sat beside Luo Feng, her heart racing as she kept glancing at the clothes on the bed.
“Tingya, focus.” Luo Feng said calmly.
He felt that it was normal for her not to agree. These clothes were still too advanced for the times. The tailor looked at Luo Feng a few more times when he received the blueprint. He definitely thought that Luo Feng was an indecent person, let alone Ai Tingya.
It was fine. There was still a long way to go. He would slowly teach her to accept it in the future.
“Alright.” Ai Tingya bit her lip. Why was she the one feeling distraught? She broke the agreement, but he would still keep his promise. Would he be disappointed in her?
Ai Tingya did not listen to a single word during tuition.
“It’s getting late. Let me send you back.” Luo Feng helped Ai Tingya pack her books.
Ai Tingya stood where she was and struggled for a while before saying, “A pen just rolled into the gap behind the table. Help me find it. I’ll go to the bathroom first and be back soon.”
“Okay.” Luo Feng squatted down and reached out.
When he was not paying attention, Ai Tingya quickly took a s.h.i.+rt with seemingly the most fabric and ran into the bathroom.
Luo Feng searched through the crack twice and found the eraser and one dollar coin that had been missing for a month but he did not find the pen that Ai Tingya mentioned.
He stood up and patted the dust off his hands. He heard Ai Tingya open the door. “I didn’t find your pen. I have extra. You…”
Luo Feng paused. Ai Tingya, who was wearing a professional suit, was standing in front of him and looking at him in embarra.s.sment.
