Volume 8: The Healer has to Choose
Chapter 4：The Healer reunites with the Demon King

Our aircraft flies through the skies. 

I was surprised by the plan that Prince Casta had thought up. Ellen had also thought up of the same plan in the past but She had thought that it would be impossible to force Enritta do follow through with the plan because there was too high of a risk for them.

But even with the sacrifice, Prince Casta himself proposed to use this plan. He proved with his words that he did not just intend to aid the Dioral Kingdom, he planned on fighting with us side by side.
　

I now truly feel that it was the right decision to save him back then. 

From here on out, we will head to the Demon King and Prince Casta will spread word of the wrongdoings of the Grantzbatch Empire. It will be a race against time. Both parties will have to work their hardest to make this work.

We perform our first night flight to save us as much time as possible since it is necessary to get to our destination as fast as possible. By using the moonlight, I was able to navigate the night sky. I didn't have to worry too much since at a high alt.i.tude, it was almost impossible to hit an obstacle. The only thing to watch out for would be tall mountains.

"Freya, let's switch soon."

"Okay~."

"Freya stops using her wind magic and the plane starts to drop in alt.i.tude. I immediately switch with Freya and take over the controls. Currently everyone but Freya and I were asleep. We agreed to take turns flying so that it would lessen the burden on each other.

"Go ahead and sleep. I'll wake you up in the morning. Flying at night should have taken a toll on you."

"Yeah, it was troubling that I couldn't see much. I had to leave it mostly to luck. I constantly felt like something might happen"

"It's not unreasonable, I'm impressed that you could fly so long in this condition and so accurately too."

"I did my best~"

I cast [Recovery Heal] to remove her fatigue. But even after healing I can still feel that she feels strained and tired after such a long flight.

"Um, Kearugsama. I've always had something I wanted to ask you…"

"What is it?"

"If it's not a misunderstanding of mine, it seems like Kearugsama is very impatient lately."

"It's true. I can't imagine how many of those black monsters are popping up everyday. I want to end this as fast as possible so that no more black monsters appear."

To think that I would be seen through by Freya. My revenge journey has also entered into its climax.

Spell hero Freya was beaten by me and made to serve me. Sword hero Blade was completely robbed of her dignity and I killed her. The kingdom that had stolen everything from me became my very own kingdom. The only one left that I have to kill is Bullet.

After I send him down to h.e.l.l, my journey will come to an end.

"It's not like you'll disappear right?"

If it was the me in the past, I might have really disappeared. After one finishes their revenge, everything becomes white and one loses every reason to continue forward. 

"I'll promise you that I won't disappear after I finish this journey. After getting so many great girls, how can I stand to let go of them."

Such words came out naturally.

Once upon a time, I thought of this when I made Princess Flare into Freya.

Erasing memories, planting false love, loving each other with a man who looks down on herself, and finally getting hundreds of soldiers from the Dioral Kingdom.　

I wonder how much despair one would receive if they got all of their memories back at once. 

In truth, I have done this many.  I've made Freya make love with me multiple times and even messed with her father, the king.

I've already messed with her enough. The only thing left to complete my revenge on her would be to restore her memory.

But there is also a part of me that wants her to stay as Freya and and not go back to being Flare, that that is more important than my revenge.

Such a thought would've been impossible for the past me that had just restarted. Did I get softer? No, that shouldn't be the case. It should just be because I spent a large amount of time with Freya.

"I won't throw it away."

Life doesn't exist just for revenge. It's there so I can get peace and happiness. If I find something that brings me more happiness then it should be reasonable to prioritize that.

"I'm relieved. Please make sure you don't leave."

"Yeah, I promise."

I whispered with a terrifyingly calm feeling. I'll make sure to definitely kill Bullet. And after that, I'll live peacefully with all of my women. Stop all of the blood filled days and just live.

Thanks to flying during the night, we reached the Demon Kingdom much earlier than planned. The knights and soldiers there can do nothing after we arrived. They have been told not to do anything and they can't let out their anger. I feel bad for them.

In the past, I had been trapped in Bullet's trap and I had no option but to kill and keep killing them over and over again. That's why I made sure to take the traps away from them this time. 

After talking to the army for a bit I head to Eve's location. Since it's a complicated story, I let Setsuna do all the talking to them.

I walk into the throne room with two escorts and they leave me soon after. Usually escorts are required but since I am EVe's knight, they are not required.

Eve met for the first time in a long time, sitting on the throne of the demon king and pouting.

"How's it been Eve?"
