While Gu Yu was planning something in his head, he had already done his research on this restaurant. The man of this restaurant was able to cook such amazing dishes because his ancestor was the chef for the Imperial House. Although four generations had pa.s.sed, the secret recipe of the grilled fish was still pa.s.sed down.

It had been four generations and their networking was on the verge of exhaustion. Hence, they could only open a small restaurant in a place that was not so busy. As the commander of the Secret Guardians Hall, it was a piece of cake for him to buy out this entire family.

There were two Elders in gray robes sitting not far away from him and they did not seem to be related to him at all.

Gu Yu greeted the lady boss with a smile as he watched her deliver food to the customers.

Then, an Elder in green robe slowly entered the place and sat at the table beside Gu Yu. He waved his hand to summon the lady boss, casually ordered two dishes and looked at Gu Yu.

Gu Yu glanced at him and ignored him afterward. He was just another old man who did not know any martial arts. Gu Yu had no reason to talk to him at all.

The two Elders in gray robes stared at this Elder in green robe for a while before turning their heads away slowly to admire the lady boss’s beautiful figure. They seemed to have enjoyed what they were looking at.

“Boom!” There was a loud boom out of the blue. The Elder in green robe had punched Gu Yu at the back.

Gu Yu was sent up into the sky. The Elder in green robe appeared behind him and punched him again to the back of the head.

This punch had squashed what was inside his skull. Even if he was saved by the Spirit Blessing Pill, he would still be an idiot who would never wake up again.

“No!!” The two Elders in grey robes roared as they charged in.

The Elder in green robe punched Gu Yu one more time before rus.h.i.+ng out of the place through the window and disappeared in a blink of an eye.

One of the Elders in grey robe went to check up on Gu Yu while the other chased after the culprit.

However, the Elder in green robe had disappeared when he rushed out of the restaurant. He immediately jumped up to the rooftop to see that the main street was filled with so many people that he could not even spot the Elder in green robe.

The Elder in grey robe shouted at the sky as he took out an item from his embrace and shot it towards the heavens.

“Boom!” There was an explosion in the sky and soon it was covered in a cloud of fire that would not disperse.

It was a signal to shut all the gates in that town.

The Secret Guardians Hall’s Commander was an important figure. Since he was a.s.sa.s.sinated this easily, they would eventually find the culprit if they locked down the entire town.

However, the Elder in green robe had already disappeared from the city and appeared in High Duke’s Public House’s Jade Guardian Island. Chu Li had already reverted back to his true face then.

Xiao Qi was sitting by the garden reading her books. When she saw him returned, she looked at him as if she was thinking of something.

Chu Li smiled gently. “It’s a success!”

“Was it really that easy?”

“He thinks that n.o.body dared to a.s.sa.s.sinate him.” Chu Li shook his head. “He had only brought two Protectors out. Although they were top-notch masters, they were not wary of the situation at all.”
