Chu Li shook his head. “I’m unworthy of the t.i.tle, I’m not going!”

“Young Master, it’s a rare opportunity!” Kou Qiong quickly persuaded, “If you miss this, you won’t know how long you’ll have to wait for the next! Our war with the Qiu Dynasty is almost ending, it’ll be hard for you to get another chance!”

“There’ll be another chance,” Chu Li replied, “Besides, I don’t need to be promoted, I’m happy with where I am now.”

Chu Li placed his chopsticks down, then gestured Kou Qiong to sit opposite him. “Sit down and tell me the details.”

Kou Qiong sighed right after he sat down. “I heard that Deng Datong set up a military order, and claimed that he’ll revenge the previous Patrol’s death in ten days or he won’t be the next Patrol!”

Chu Li frowned.

‘He must be extremely confident or he wouldn’t have made such a huge claim.

‘The disciples of the Holy Church of Light aren’t fools, they’re exceptionally smart. Deng Datong must’ve found the murderer, and is certain that he can kill the murderer.’

“Forget it then.” Chu Li nodded.

“Young Master, that’s so infuriating!” Kou Qiong expressed, “It’s not fair!”

Chu Li laughed. “How do you know that it’s not fair? As far as I know, the Saint’s very fair.”

“Young Master, based on your contributions, you should’ve been promoted to a Patrol long ago, yet it never happened. Moreover, when you had this perfect opportunity, you decided to let others have it instead.” Kou Qiong scoffed. “Deng Datong was just lucky, he contributed during our war against the Qiu Dynasty, but it’s nothing compared to what you’ve contributed so far, Young Master!”

Chu Li waved his hand as he smiled. “Alright, let’s just forget it since the decision has been made.”

“Young Master, if you don’t voice out this time, this will only repeat again, nice people will be bullied!” Kou Qiong convinced. “Young Master, you should speak to the Saint, she mustn’t bully you like that!”

“Stop nagging me!” Chu Li said snappily, “You just want me to leave because I’m an eyesore!”

Kou Qiong immediately gave up.

Chu Li uttered, “Don’t talk about this anymore! I’ll be staying here for a few days before I continue my cultivation in isolation! Oh right, check who killed the Patrol.”

“Yes,” Kou Qiong answered in low spirits.

When Chu Li waved his hand, Kou Qiong quickly left.

“Junior Brother Zhao.” The young lady in green clothes had an elegant body and charming looks. She returned the salutation, then said, “I’m here by the Saint’s order to call you back.”

“Alright, let’s move now,” Chu Li replied.

The two of them immediately left Gale City through their Light-body Technique.

The lady in green clothes used her Light-body Technique to the maximum limit, and while she fluttered in the air like the wind, she was actually moving at lightning speed. She was two times faster than a galloping horse, and also had amazing stamina.

“Yes.” The lady in green clothes nodded.

Chu Li asked, “The Saint agreed?”

“Yes.” The lady in green clothes nodded.
