You Can't Go in There!
Jing Yue looked around and moved close to the tea table . She picked up a cup of cold tea and poured it directly on the face of Shangguan Linglan, who immediately quivered and gradually opened her eyes .
"Hey, get up, Lanlan! The house is on fire!" Jing Yue darted closer to Shangguan Linglan in a hurry .
"What?" Shangguan Linglan wanted to sit up, but just found herself getting sluggish . She turned a little nervous and asked, “I feel so weak, what’s going on?”
"You were poisoned by hallucinogen . " Jing Yue walked toward Ning Xiangyuan who was still in a deep sleep . Compared with Jing Yue and Shangguan Linglan, Ning Xiangyuan and Liu Miaoqiu were not that healthy . Therefore, Jing Yue couldn’t wake them up .
"Come on, Lanlan! The fire is coming in and we have to carry them out . " Jing Yue shouted to Shangguan Linglan . Shangguan Linglan struggled to pull herself up . And when she glanced down at her limp and shaking legs, she felt quite annoyed .
"Hurry up!" It turned out to be really hard to move Ning Xiangyuan, so again, Jing Yue bit the tip of her tongue hard and dragged Ning Xiangyuan toward the door with all her might, while Shangguan Linglan was dragging Liu Miaoqiu .
"I can’t open the door . What's wrong with it!" Jing Yue shouted as she got to the door .
"Ouch . . . It was locked, let’s burst it open!" Shangguan Linglan coughed violently . Thick smoke from the fire pervaded every corner of the room and the raging flames swallowed everything so fast that it stunned Jing Yue .
Jing Yue hurled herself at the door, but it wouldn't budge because she was really out of strength . As more smoke went into her lungs, she could hardly muster up any strength .
"Go and jump out of the window!" Jing Yue turned and ran to the window . But the window couldn’t be opened either . Hence, Shangguan Linglan gritted her teeth and lifted a chair to smash the window . Jing Yue quickly took a chair to join her . From the chaotic noises outside the house, they heard someone calling their names .
"Bang!" The window was smashed opened . Jing Yue asked Shangguan Linglan to go out first, and then pushed out Ning Xiangyuan and Liu Miaoqiu . People outside spotted them and quickly came to help . Just as Jing Yue began to climb out, she saw a pillar enveloped in flames falling towards her .
"Jing Yue!!" The moment Shangguan Linglan turned back, she saw a pillar falling down abruptly just in front of her . Her face turned deathly pale . While she was trying to rush into the house without thinking, someone quick in action pulled her back .
"Miss Shangguan, you can't go in there! The fire is raging!"
"Let me go! Jing Yue! Jing Yue!!" Shangguan Linglan’s eyes became bloodshot, she dashed towards the house but was held tightly on her waist by two people behind her .
"d.a.m.n it!!" Jing Yue was still inside the house, she looked at the burned-down window and thought how she could escape from the house with flames . With less and less s.p.a.ce to stand, Jing Yue hurriedly took out her silk kerchief, wet it with tea and then used it to cover her mouth and nose .
With that done, she was about to rush out through the burning window . Just at that moment, she saw the small snake tossing on the ground . It was hissing so miserably as if it had been cooked by the searing heat . Jing Yue’s heart ached so she hurried over to pick up the small snake in her hand .
