Chapter 121 Possessed

The man wanted nothing else but to open up the coffin . He nodded, “Open it! Do it fast! I can give you money! Any amount you want!”

Ye Shaoyang helplessly sighed . A parent’s heart always remained with their child . Although the child had already pa.s.sed away, the man could not face the truth . Ye Shaoyang walked toward the grave . The old sorcerer still stood beside the grave . His hands were busy pointing here and there, as he gave out orders to light up the coffin . When he saw that Ye Shaoyang approached it, he yelled before Ye Shaoyang could say anything, “You can’t open the coffin! Once the undead comes out, none of us can live!”

Ye Shaoyang did not even bother to look at the old sorcerer . Instead, he grabbed the hammer from the undertaker and jumped into the grave . He took out the nails on the coffin one by one . Coffin nails were actually spiritual materials; he could have initiated his Maoshan Sect sorcery and took out the nail with his bare hands . It would look a lot cooler that way, but it would also waste his energy . Ye Shaoyang was not in the mood to show off his sorcery skills . He took out the seven nails in one breath and stood beside the grave . With his right hand on the coffin, he intoned an incantation and yelled, “Up!”

He raised his hand, and the coffin cover was lifted up and thrown aside .

At that instance, all eyes focused on the coffin .

A young girl with silky, long hair in her death shroud slowly sat up in the coffin . She had a pale face . However, her lips had curled up into a smile, as she looked at Ye Shaoyang .

“A moving corpse! Run!”

The old sorcerer yelled and ran down the mountain . He was so nervous that he did not even see the road clearly . He slipped on a rock and tumbled down the slope . Then, he fainted . Some of the individuals with less guts fled the scene, while some of the curious ones stayed . However, they chose to observe from afar in antic.i.p.ation .

“Daddy, I’m not dead yet . Come help me up,” said the girl that sat in the coffin in a sweet and innocent voice as she looked at her father .

The man quickly regained his composure when he heard his daughter's voice . He ran toward her and carried her out of the coffin . He held her in his arms, as emotions overwhelmed him .

Ye Shaoyang stood back at the side of the grave . Xiao Ma moved closer to him and asked, “Little Ye, is this really a case of a dead returning alive?”

Ye Shaoyang glared at him, “Do you think that is possible? She was in the coffin for such a long time . Even if she was still alive, she would have suffocated to death . ”

“Then, this… . ” Xiao Ma took a look at the girl, who seemed so lively as she laid her head on her father’s shoulder . She smiled at Ye Shaoyang, but it was a rather creepy smile that sent chills up Xiao Ma’s spine . Ye Shaoyang stared directly into the girl’s eyes and firmly asked, “What demon are you?”

A furious look flashed across her face, but she quickly made an innocent expression, as she said, “I don’t understand a word you are saying . Daddy, who is he? I’m so scared . ”

The question obviously offended the man . He put down his ‘daughter’ and turned to Ye Shaoyang with his arms protecting his daughter . He asked in an angry voice, “What are you doing? Did my daughter offend you? How could you say that she is a demon?”

Ye Shaoyang gently shook his head, “Uncle, your daughter is dead . A demonic creature has possessed her corpse . If you don’t believe me, I will prove it to you . ”

“Bullsh*t! I don’t need any proof! She is my daughter . I don’t need you to meddle in my family affairs . Go away! All of you!” The man grabbed a rock and stood guard in front of his daughter . He had no fear in him, even when he stood against three other men .

Old Guo sighed, “Mercy on all the parents in the world . Junior brother, this guy has nothing else in his head, other than his daughter . There’s no way you can persuade him otherwise . We have to think of something else . ”

Just as Old Guo talked, the girl grinned at Ye Shaoyang . Then, she opened her mouth and extended her ‘tongue’, which was a disgusting piece of flesh, toward the back of the man’s neck .

Ye Shaoyang froze, as he observed the tongue-like flesh . It looked sharp, certainly not a human’s tongue, but some sort of animal’s tentacle! The tentacle was merely a few inches away from stabbing into the man’s neck . Ye Shaoyang darted forward, as he yelled, “Quick! Get rid of this creature!”

Xiao Ma started to charge after he heard Ye Shaoyang’s order . He forced himself onto the man with his ninety-kilogram dead weight . The man was thrown away like a bomb had struck him . Xiao Ma did not stop there . He pressed himself onto the man and immobilized the latter . Then he said, “Uncle, sorry for this!”

Old Guo picked up his date wood sword and swiftly moved behind the girl, “Ahem, I’ll cover you!”

“You are looking for your own death!” The girl’s expression turned angry . She raised her two hands and leaped toward Ye Shaoyang .

Ye Shaoyang avoided her and retaliated . As he raised his left hand, the rest of the group realized he held a cinnabar string . He tightened the string around the girl’s wrist, and she shrieked like an animal . She grabbed Ye Shaoyang with her other hand in reaction, but he immediately tightened that hand with the string too . Now that he had tied up both of her hands, she was basically as good as paralyzed . Without wasting any time, Ye Shaoyang tightened the rest of the string around her body . In no time at all, the red string had covered the girl’s body . She could not move at all, so she tried to crawl like a caterpillar . However, it was a waste of her energy . She looked at the man with pitiful eyes, as she attempted to beg for his help . However, Xiao Ma had completely pressed the man to the ground . Xiao Ma easily weighed ninety kilograms . The man had no way to escape .

“No, please! Let her go! I beg you!” The man could only cry and wave his hands in the air .

Ye Shaoyang did not even bother to look at the man . Instead, he drew a Tai-chi rune on his palm with a cinnabar brush . Then, he smacked the top of girl’s skull . Instantly, demon Qi dispersed from her body . The girl’s eyes rolled up and her body went weak . She laid on the ground motionless .

Ye Shaoyang turned to the man, “Let me show you what creature is in your daughter’s body . ” As he finished his sentence, he parted the girl’s hair with his left hand, while his right hand held an ancient Chinese coin . He followed the split hairline to cut her skin . He split the skin to both sides, which revealed the red flesh beneath . It was not a sight for the weak-hearted . Even the father stopped yelling, as he raised his eyebrows . Ye Shaoyang’s action stunned him .

Ye Shaoyang cut the skin from the top of the skull, right till the middle of her eyebrows . Then, he put down the ancient Chinese coin and pressed the top of the skull with two fingers . A stream of Gang Qi from his fingers entered the skull and scanned the body inside . Suddenly, Ye Shaoyang’s face turned dead-serious, as he roared and raised his arm . He pulled out a long creature that resembled a snake from the body . Then, he threw it to the ground .

Blood covered the creature . After it landed on the ground, it immediately slithered in an attempt to escape . Ye Shaoyang gripped it exactly its vital point and captured it . Now, all eyes were on the creature . Even the father could not utter a sound, as the sight left him devastated .

Xiao Ma gently tapped his shoulder, “You’ve seen it now . There is no way that such a creature will exist in a normal human’s body . I’ll stop pressing you down, so you can get up and take a closer look . In return, stop your nonsense . What say you?” Xiao Ma got up and released the father .

The man stopped making a fuss just as Xiao Ma had advised . He got up together with Xiao Ma and quietly observed the creature before his eyes—a snake-like creature with a big head and a tiny tail . The head part almost looked like a big cylindrical bulk of flesh chopped off from something . Ye Shaoyang applied more force to his grip on the creature . It struggled a little . Then, it became lifeless . Black blood started to flow out of its ‘head’ .

“Little Ye, what is this thing?” Xiao Ma covered his nose, “It smells disgusting . ”

Ye Shaoyang frowned a little, as he observed, “It looks like a tentacle from some sort of creature . I can’t tell what kind of creature this tentacle belongs to . But I can guarantee you that it’s a demon . ”

Old Guo exclaimed, “How is this possible? This is merely a tentacle of a demon? But it is already powerful enough to possess someone? How powerful will the owner of this tentacle be then?”
