The others agreed that the old man was the most qualified to take this position.

Devil was the most problematic one among them. No one knew if Ghost Monarch would change after the fusion and do something dreadful.

Devil had no choice but to give up. He was not a good candidate given his darkness and murderous impulses.

“Wait, you don’t need to shoulder this mission.” Fog stopped him.

Water and Fog sighed after hearing this.

“Your bright future will end here.” The old man said.

“It’s all the same. I won’t achieve much in the mortal world, not like I can become an immortal. Might as well become the Ghost Monarch and laws here, that’s a big achievement.” Nameless smiled.

“It is.” The old man showed a rare smile.

“Your relations.h.i.+p is so confusing.” Water said: “Fine, I support you since you will do a great job.”

“You do it.” Fog nodded.

“I have no issue with it.” Devil said begrudgingly.

“Come, fuse with the laws and a new Ghost Monarch will be born.” Li Qiye gently touched Nameless’ forehead.

“Thank you, Sir.” Nameless took a deep breath and bowed.

“Buzz.” Li Qiye’s hand brimmed with primordial light. He released it onto the statue.

Its head moved, seemingly returning to life.

“Ooo-” Its eyes lit up after a mechanical hum.

“Crackle!” Lightning bolts and arcs erupted as if the statue was short-circuiting. Dao flames with a dark glow took over next.

Only the laws remained once the body melted to ashes, engulfed by Li Qiye’s light.
