Since long time ago, JHo observed Ho-Chi.

JHo released the field mice and called on the sparrows to ask about Ho-Chi's whereabouts.

Even though JHo found Ho-Chi, he could not reveal himself in front of Ho-Chi.

It is because JHo remembers what he had said to Ho-Chi all those years ago.

JHo was aware of what kind of mind set he had when he ridiculed with Ho-Chi, so he could not approach him now.

Watching from afar, JHo also knew of choices Ho-Chi made.

What Ho-Chi went through did not please JHo.

Even if Ho-Chi's life was not great, he still put on a smile and waited for the guy in the small house. Ho-Chi mended the guy's clothes and made ornaments for him. JHo could not just walk up to Ho-Chi and selfishly take away even that small amount of happiness from Ho-Chi.

JHo saw that Ho-Chi stayed expressionless when the guy came home, but when Ho-Chi was alone he secretly smiled remembering the guy's silly behaviors.

JHo also saw that whenever the guy called on his bride in his sleep, Ho-Chi would furtively hold the guy's hand, easing him back to sleep.

Ho-Chi would check if he had any hay or dirt stuck on his clothes when it was the time for the guy to come home. JHo could only watch on.

Even though JHo was angry at the town's people for cursing and spitting at Ho-Chi because he was a fox, he could not come forward to help defend Ho-Chi.

All because he used to be no different from those people.

JHo felt aching pain in his heart whenever he thought back on his past actions of mocking and cursing at Ho-Chi for being useless.

JHo silently watched Ho-Chi who was sleeping with his eyes closed.

Studying the star shaped scar on Ho-Chi's forehead. JHo wordlessly mocked himself.

Now, whenever JHo look at Ho-Chi, he would feel guilty because of the star that reflects what he did to Ho-Chi in the past.

When JHo was studying Ho-Chi in the guy's house, he memorized Ho-Chi's oval face, shape of his closed eyes, and his hair that were neatly arranged over the pillows. Without even allowing himself to touch Ho-Chi's hair or to hold Ho-Chi's hands JHo forced himself to retreat out from the house.

Each heavy footstep showed how much effort JHo had to put to get further away from Ho-Chi. However, JHo's steps never slowed.

On JHo's face, streams of tears trickled down and fell onto the ground.

The guy packed his whole fortune.

The guy's whole fortune was comprised of one rare white fur and a small bag of money.

After rope everything on his belt, the guy left the room with his bride on his back, still sleeping.

The guy did not forget to keep his bride warm by draping him with thickest fur he had.

Just in case the old man comes back for his payment, the guy left the money and the silk meant for the old man in the room.

Despite the Dong-Lang mountain being far away from the guy's house, he did not feel intimidated by the distance.

If it is possible for his bride to open his eyes, the guy was ready to go anywhere in the country.

Leaving behind the house that had so much memories, the guy started walking.

Just to get to an entrance of the Dong-Lang mountain, it took the guy roughly two weeks.

The guy did not rest much in those two weeks. Even when he slept, he woke up very early in the morning to start walking. He walked even in rain.

Because he did not stop to wash, he had dried sweat mixed with dirt on his face and body. He did not comb or shave his beard, so it tangled. The greasy hair alone was enough make people keep away. When the guy had to walk through a town, people would frown and step away from the guy who resembled straggler.

Few days ago children from a town would throw rocks and make fun of the guy for looking like a beggar. And just the other day the guy was thrown out from a dumpling restaurant when he wanted to buy food.

Even in such a terrible traveling condition, the guy fixed his eyes on the Dong-Lang mountain that he could see on the horizon, far far away, and walked.

When the guy arrived at the mountain entrance, the sun was placed high up in the middle of the sky. From receiving the full force of the sunlight, the guy was drenched in sweat.

The guy took down a fur and spread it out on relatively flat ground.

Then he carefully lowered Ho-Chi on the fur and laid him on it.

Unlike the guy's sorry figure, Ho-Chi was very clean.

The guy took out a clean clothe and soaked it in water from his water bottle.

Without thinking to wipe himself, the guy brought the soaked clothes over to Ho-Chi and processed to clean his face.

Filled with worry that Ho-Chi might have felt too warm under a heavy fur, the guy carefully wiped Ho-Chi.

Not thinking about himself who was perspiring from all the walking and carrying, the guy only cared about Ho-Chi's well-being.

"Hehe. My bride is pretty."

Looking down at Ho-Chi's well taken care of face, the guy grinned from ear to ear.

After the guy wiped Ho-Chi, he messaged Ho-Chi's limbs thinking that they must be tired from being carried all the time.

Scared of bruising his bride, the guy used most minimal amount of strength to message Ho-Chi's arms and legs. From afar it looked amusing how careful the guy was.

The guy was br.i.m.m.i.n.g with expectation that his bride will become well again after finding Master Cheon-Ho, so his face was bright with smile.

"My bride let's eat now."

Before entering the mountain, the guy went down to a town to buy some food. All the guy could buy was a bag of cold dumplings. All the while, the guy was carrying his silk-wrapped bride in his arms.

The guy took out that cold dumpling now and took a bite. He then chewed on it for some time before bringing his lips to Ho-Chi's lips.

Parting Ho-Chi's lips, the guy pa.s.sed over the food in his mouth to Ho-Chi's mouth.

The guy did not forget to drink mouthful of water and pa.s.s it onto Ho-Chi after that for easy swallowing.

After making sure that Ho-Chi gulp down the food, the guy took another bite of the dumpling and repeated the process until the dumpling was no more.

The guy's belly rumbled.

Tasting the dumpling in his mouth, the guy swallowed his saliva. Without eating anything, the guy guzzled down his water.

There were some dumplings in the bag, but the guy could not splurge on them.

After all, now that they were on the mountain path, there won't be other food sources aside from what the guy had on him.

The guy ignored his roaring stomach and tightened his belt instead.

Rubbing his sweaty hands on his clothes, the guy shoved his blistered feet back into his shoes then carried Ho-Chi on his back again.

"Be little patient my bride. Just a little more."

The guy started climbing the Dong-Lang mountain.
