To confront Ivanov head-on was clearly seeking death. For a wily old fox like Chen An, who always exacted revenge against those who offended him, how could he live repressing his anger letting the rage suffocate him forever?

Chen An finished writing his letter, ending the last word of the message with what he thought was the perfect period. His letter only consisted of a few short words: Lu Feng, did you really think I was dead? Please say h.e.l.lo to little Ivan on my behalf.

The letter was written on kraft paper, a preference he had even in his previous life. After the letter was enclosed within an envelope, he used a red sealing wax to seal the envelope. This custom was how he wrote letters for many years. It was impossible for Lu Feng to not recognize his habit and handwriting after spending so much time by his side.

He knew Lu Feng would hate the fact that another person's name was mentioned in the letter, just thinking about his reaction, made him feel amused. It was likely that the cooperation between Lu Feng and Ivanov will soon end.  Ivanov will definitely be kept 'busy' dealing with Lu Feng's suspicions and questioning.

This way he could make Ivanov suffer, and he could also temporarily divert that d.a.m.n hairy bear's attention away from him. But most importantly, if Lu Feng and Ivanov fought each other and neither side wins, both suffering losses, it would be the best outcome for him.

Chen An tucked the letter into his pocket inside his clothes. Chen An then rose to his feet, walked to the bathroom, and stood in front of the mirror to carefully arrange his hair.

He had changed to invisible looking braces last month so wearing them didn't affect his overall appearance.  Most importantly, after the surgery to correct his teeth nearly six months ago, those wretched ugly teeth that made him want to die were finally slowly restored to the same level as others.

Although his figure wasn't considered perfect but compared to a half year ago, it was like he entirely transformed into a new man. His weight had also reached the normal standard.

Chen An removed the gold-rimmed gla.s.ses resting on the bridge of his nose, after was.h.i.+ng his hands, he took out his contacts and wore them. He looked himself over in the mirror, revealing a satisfied smile. If he compared to the first time he saw his appearance in the hospital to his appearance now, it was as if he had thoroughly become a different person.

Only now was he truly Chen An.

After putting on his tie, Chen An turned and left the bathroom. When he walked past the study he peered through the slightly ajar door. Chen Yang was, as usual, sitting in front of the study desk, studying the materials he gave him.

Chen Yang who seemed to have sensed Chen An's presence immediately looked up. Chen An was dressed in a well-fitted suit and had taken off his gla.s.ses, Chen Yang was momentarily stunned staring at the man and only after regaining his composure did he open his mouth to ask: "Uncle, are you going somewhere?"

When Chen An wore gla.s.ses, he looked every bit like a refined gentleman with a graceful demeanor. But when he took off his gla.s.ses, although Chen An was not as handsome as Chen Yang, he was captivating enough that people would find him unforgettable after just a glance.

Those pair of phoenix eyes that were always tilted upward slightly were un.o.bstructed and exposed. When Chen An curved his lips into a faint smile as he spoke, his pair of mesmerizing eyes took one's breath away.

"I will test you on what you have studied for these past months after I get back tonight."

As soon as Chen An finished this sentence he directly turned to leave, without any reluctance to part and resolute in his steps.

In Chen Yang's heart, he felt somewhat disappointed. In Chen An's eyes, he was a dispensable existence, not even important enough for him to even spare a glance when he left. Unconsciously his grip on his pen tightened.

He was unwilling to be just an insignificant existence in Chen An's heart. He wanted to be the focus of Chen An's eyes and heart, to someday brand his presence into Chen An's life, to be forever unforgettable to this man.

After leaving home, Chen An sat down in a luxurious car that had been waiting downstairs. Even though his current ident.i.ty had a driver license, he himself didn't know how to drive.

But that didn't matter, as long as he had a chauffeur it was enough.

Sitting in the back seat of the car, he lifted his wrist to check the time. There was still about half an hour before the party started, he estimated that by the time he got there, the party will be just starting.

It wasn't difficult to start a company, provided that one had sufficient funds, various types of doc.u.ments could be easily readied. With his many years' worth of experience from his former life, he could secure connections with some of the local rich businessmen with ease.

As long as you had money, people will naturally be drawn to your side. Businessmen valued forming connections and having an extensive network, besides having more friends is never a bad idea. And if one had exceptional conversation skill and excellent taste, the number of people willing to become friends with you increases.

Chen An only needed to start off by pretending to know a wealthy businessman, then he could slowly a.s.similate into the local social circle. It wasn't Chen An's first time attending an event like tonight's charity auction party, but after his rebirth, this was the first time he placed such importance on attending a party.

Originally this evening party only extended invitations to various celebrities and famous figures, but because he recently got acquainted with a real estate tyc.o.o.n, Chen An was able to get himself an admission ticket, allowing him to enter without any difficulties.
