“Waaaaaaaahhhh – Ugh!” I’m once again kneeling on the ground. We were now back from the Otherworld after we had gone through their accursed portal.

Brylle did help me stand up, but he did by pulling up my collar. He was really a gentleman, no? I really want him to meet my fist, even once will do.

Of course, we waited for a few minutes before leaving. It was so that my guts can recover from their trauma. It even took time before my eyes recovered to their normal state.

When I can already stand to my feet, that was when we walked back to their mansion.

While we were walking, I asked him so many questions about the Otherworld. I was quite happy because he didn’t lose temper because of my inquisitiveness. However...

“You know Brylle, we should not have only bought all of these.”

Okay. Actually, he was not getting mad because in the first place, he never answered me! “Are you listening? Your house no longer have any stock of food. How am I going to cook if I don’t have any ingredient?”

He was startled by my words. The timing was so great because we are now close to a grocery store. “Did you bring any money aside from Rugrants? The grocery store is only several steps away!”

I have convinced Brylle to shop in the grocery store, but we encountered some problems when we were in front of the baggage counter. “So in reality... Brylle, is this your first time in a place like this?”

It was all because he doesn’t want to let go of the basket where he put everything he had shopped from the Necro Market. “Don’t wanna! It’s hard to entrust things I have bought to other people!”

“Ow Em Ji, Brylle! This is really your first time?” I pointed towards the huge signboard, BAGGAGE COUNTER. “It’s normal to leave stuffs here before we're going inside! It’s part of the security!”

“Eh, how about the one who was going to watch over here? What if he meddled with the things I have bought.”

“They won’t do that! What the heck are you!”

This arrogant Wizard is actually a huge ignorant. It was funny but it is hard to explain things to him. Now our little argument is attracting other people's stares toward us.

“Okay, let’s settle with this. If you don’t want to leave your belongings here, just wait outside while I shop inside.”

“Are you ordering me now?”

“Hindi po.” I’m starting to get p.i.s.sed because of the wasted time. “Are you going in with me and leave that in the baggage counter? Or be left here so that I can now shop by myself inside?”

Brylle thought this out for a long period of time. In the end, he can’t do anything.

“He eventually agreed, why think for so long?”

“Are you saying something?”

“Nothing po!”

Next time I’ll just whisper to myself and see if he still can hear.

Anyway, I laughed at my ignorant Boss. Kidding aside, he actually threatened the guard at the baggage counter just to ensure that the latter won’t touch his bag. It’s very funny!

“The smell here is very unpleasant!”

“Naturally! We’re at the meat section.” I said while choosing good meat. I have become an expert in this because my Aunt Seline used to order me to go to the market. “Do you like chicken? What part do you like?”

“Anything! Just do it fast!”

What if I choose the b.u.t.t? Will he still like that?

“Grumpy. You should have stayed outside.”

“Since a while ago, you’ve been answering back at me* ha!” He looked at my fingers. “It seems you’re forgetting how you must not anger me.”

“My gawd!” I totally forgot about the ring. Now the inky part grew. Just because of that, he became mad? “Why are you being nitpicky?”

“Waaah!” The blackish part had spread more. I don’t want to be poisoned! Yana, behave! “ What I said po, is what dishes do you want to eat for dinner?”

To prevent angering him any further, I chose to shut my mouth up even though it was quite hard to accomplish. Just why was I born talkative?

We resumed our peaceful shopping. Meanwhile, I noticed that our cart was almost filled up with sweets. “Are all of these for Vander?”

“Yeah. All of these are his favourite.”

“Really?” My eyes went to him. It was not very obvious but he can actually be caring? Probably he was just shy in showing it so he always cover it up through sulking. “How long have you known Vander?”

“Since birth he was already my Elemental Guardian.”

“What is really an Elemental Guardian?”

“Like a guardian. They helped us in some spells. If you have an elemental guardian, you have what you called your most loyal friend.”

“Friend? Don’t you have any friend? Aren’t you studying? Are you in elementary or high school?”

“I only study to blend into this society. So that no one will be suspicious. Like a disguise. But even though I’m studying here, I don’t want to be friends with mortals.”

“You’re an anti-social! How boring.”

Because of what I said, his gaze became sharper again. “Why, Alyanna Rohan? Do you have a social life?” He asked to taunt me.

“You know, because I was slaved around by my good relatives, I have NONE! But I’m not like you! I dreamt of a social life.”

“Pfft.” I think I know what he was thinking due to that laugh... “Do you mean, I was wasting my time? Is that it?”

“Hey! It’s not that!” This moron was probably imagining that I will admit defeat. “Those kind of things, teenagers really do that. Like me, like you. You’re still a teenager, right?”

“Yeah, so?”

“'So' your face! You are wasting your time. You should not only focus on the magical world – “

“Otherworld.”

“Fine! You should not only focus yourself to the Otherworld, but also to this normal world too –“

“Mortal world.”

How many times does he have to correct me? “You should also pay attention to your life here in the Mortal World, to this world where you’re currently at.” I finally managed to say what I want to say.

“Who told you I won’t be attending college?”

“Eh, why are you laughing?”

“Your face is funny!” Ay, bulls.h.i.+t. It must be wonderful to experience punching this guy’s mouth to the point his teeth will all fall. Though it would be a pity for his good-looking appearance. Well, this maybe not that bad, it’s maybe better for him to laugh than to get angry, right? “You know, Yana. Although you’re sometimes infuriating, you can make good conversations.”

“Ha?” Was that a compliment from a Brylle Zaffiro? Ow Em Ji!

“Maybe you are right. I’ve been forgetting to do many things here at your Mortal World. I’ve been paying too much attention to my being a Wizard.” He said while we are heading onwards to the cas.h.i.+er. “It has really been a while since I tried mingling with people, like what you have said.”

I grinned after I heard him saying that. “You know, me too. I enjoy talking with you. You’re actually not that bad...” I purposely softened my voice for the next part. “Only slightly bad.”

“What did you say?”

“Nothing.” I said as I secretly laughed. When I peeked at my ring, the blackish part faded. It seems he really enjoyed being with me and talking to me!
