Chapter 02 – The Fallen

“The Mad Boar has run away, you don’t need to worry now”

The woman talks gently toward the two people who are hugging each other.

s.h.i.+n was surprised that this person who seemed to be the inhabitant of this fantasy world can speak j.a.panese.
Albeit everything that happened, s.h.i.+n managed to open his mouth.

“T-Thank you very much”

The woman smiled gently hearing s.h.i.+n’s grat.i.tude.
She grabbed their luggage that was crushed and messed up and then walked toward s.h.i.+n.

“Let’s start by introducing ourselves.  My name is Shana, Shana of the Yutarika”

“I’m Mikogami Yuri”

Both of them introduced themselves while still holding hands.
Shana seemed to be thinking of something after hearing the name of these two, then after a while she clapped her hands as if she remembered something

“Those name sounds like it come from j.a.pan, which mean your given name is s.h.i.+n and Yuri right ?”
“”You know about j.a.pan?!””

The two of them yelled together after hearing unexpected words from Shana.
Realizing that their action is rude, both of them lowered their head.

“Don’t worry, I don’t mind. I’m going to explain it slowly during our trip to the village”

Then she pointed at the crushed luggage.
“Also, tools from another world is precious. Sorry about this, but can you carry these ?”

Three people are walking side by side in the forest.

Shana was walking casually in front without any sign of wariness,
meanwhile the two following her from behind are walking timidly.

When Shana noticed their appearance, she took out a cylinder shaped stick and smiled

The stone is shaped like ‘that’. Well, you can actually use it that way too”

“I, I’m not thinking about that!”

The size is big, and the shape is detailed too.

s.h.i.+n and Yuri turns red and diverted their eyes from it.

“Well then, I will explain why I know about j.a.pan first.

The two of them looks like they want to ask another question after hearing those words,
but they didn’t want to interrupt and wait for her next words.

“We call those people [The Fallen]

And also, there’s no way for you guys to return to your original world.
No wait, to be precise no one found a way to return to their original world yet.”

“…..Is…that so”
s.h.i.+n dropped his shoulder, and Yuri grasps the hem of her sleeves tightly.

“Even so, you guys don’t need to feel pessimistic.

Especially a Hero from another world like you”

“You said that too earlier, what do you mean Hero ?”

Hearing Shana’s words, s.h.i.+n recalled the feeling from the previous fight where time moves in slow motion.

“Is it something like ‘Cheat’ ?”

If the meaning of that word is something like above standard or abnormal, then those monster aren’t really different from you or me. Those b.a.s.t.a.r.ds deserves to be called cheater too”

Hearing Shana’s warning, s.h.i.+n seemed to be a little nervous.

“I guess we went over our topic.  Basically, there are some Fallen who received [Blessing], we call those people [Hero]. Those people generally received a powerful ability from it.
That’s right, you should try it too. Try focusing on the [Blessing] inside you.

“Alright”

The information about how to use his power, it’s restriction, and also the [Words of Power], s.h.i.+n has understood it.

s.h.i.+n nods and hold the hand of Yuri who stay silent.

“Next, the village we’re going to is called Yutarika. You guys don’t need to worry about inn and gold, my place has extra room that you can use. But, your luggage will be submitted for the country. Think of it like tax for receiving special protection”

“But our smart phone is already broken”

“I don’t know what a smart phone is. Any goods will be fine, it can be traded as foreign-made art or antique item”

s.h.i.+n looked at the bag, it was torn and there’s boar footprint on it.

He wonder if these things really have any value,
then again it’s meaningless to think about it since they have no other choice.

“Also I need to make sure of this. Are both of you a couple ?”

“We’re…….childhood friends”

Hearing the sudden question, both of them denied it with red face

That hugs during the battle with the boar is also their first time,
they were truly far from declaring themselves as a couple.

“Then from now on, I recommend you to declare yourselves as a couple if someone asked”

“Why?”

“Because, generally speaking. A parent with [Blessing] may give birth to a child with the same ability, the rate is about one in five people, oh by the way Blessed people are never born from commoner.

It’s highly likely that your children will be born with [Blessing], if you wished for it, you can even have  a Harem.

It seems s.h.i.+n is surprised after hearing the word Harem.

Yuri then return s.h.i.+n from dreamland by pinching him with her finger.

“Uhm. Is there only a small amount of Heroes?”

“No. At this moment, there are several known people.

They’re the one giving birth and doing other task after all.

“Well, I understand so far. But what’s the relation with declaring ourselves couple ?”

“I don’t know how it works in Earth. But in here, it’s forbidden to force yourself on woman who has decided their partner. Of course it’s OK if the woman are the one doing the invitation, because the woman has the right to choose on giving birth to children.
That’s why you should declare yourselves as couple, after all Yuri is also a Fallen one you see ?”

s.h.i.+n who understood the significance of her words gulp his saliva in anxiety.
“What kind of stuff is allowed to someone without partner ?”

“In Yutarika Village, as long as the girl can give birth, men are permitted to come to sleep with her at night. Then the girl will choose the best one among them and decide her partner.
Oh right, Blessed people and Fallen man are exception. Most woman will happily open their crotch and bear your children if you wish for it.

“I don’t want that”
Imagining men sneaking to her place at night, Yuri’s face turns pale.

“I got it, I will make Yuri my partner”

“Yeah, I think that’s good. Since Yuri looks really scared, I’ll tell you a funny story.

s.h.i.+n and Yuri was stunned as Shana said those words with laughter.

Shana gave a bitter smile when Yuri asked about the meaning behind the color.

“Those who don’t wear anything are girls that haven’t had their first period yet and those who can’t give birth to children.

“I, I can give birth to a child so I got pink……Do-does s.h.i.+n-chan know about this ?”

Hearing Yuri’s self-destructing question, s.h.i.+n murmured in embarra.s.sment and Shana burst out laughing.

“You guys are funny. In here it’s quite natural to show your value to men, so you don’t need to be shy about it”

Shana leaves the muttering Yuri alone and walks to s.h.i.+n.

“What are we going to do ?”

Even though They’re being protected, They shouldn’t expect excessive aid. After all both of them have no intention of becoming a member of this village.

“First of all, you should learn more about your blessing. Afterward, you should register as an adventurer”

When s.h.i.+n heard the last word of Shana, he suddenly stand up

“There’s an adventure guild in this world !?”
