Chapter 1231: Dao Conference
The yang behemoth stood tall like a mountain with bones resembling white jades. Alas, it seemed to have been wounded before and didn’t have one-tenth of its true strength.
A regular yang behemoth had flesh and blood while this one was all bones. The former must have been eaten and corroded long ago. If it were in its prime, it could have killed Feiyun with one slap.
Due to its nature as a skeleton, it was afraid of fire so Feiyun’s eight cauldrons proved to be effective, trapping it inside an inferno.
“Boom!” It sent a cauldron flying with a punch and attempted to escape back to the blood river.
“Bam!” The ground shook violently with each step.
It leaped into the water and sent out a tsunami of blood infused with saint laws.
Feiyun recalled the cauldrons and turned back into a human. He landed on the sh.o.r.e, not daring to pursue.
A drop of saint blood could kill a pseudo-saint while this was a whole river. He would be reduced to nothingness even at the ninth level. The only exception was to have a saint artifact as a defensive measure.
“Something’s off...” The turtle landed nearby and sniffed the air, drawing random symbols on the ground.
Feiyun fed Firebird Princess a Buddhist pill and let her down on the ground. He came over and asked: “What did you find?”
“This place should have a strong yin affinity but the yang is overwhelming, this is illogical. The flow of orders is chaotic here.” The turtle said.
Scholar Heaven Calculating approached and said: “Chaotic indeed. My calculations were wrong and brought everyone to this perilous ground. We would have died if it wasn’t for Brother Feng’s prowess.”
Xuanyuan Yiyi and the others arrived as well, finding confidence in Feiyun’s presence.
He activated his heavenly gaze to observe the river but the blood nullified it.
“I can help you if you want to dive.” Xuanyuan Yiyi said softly, shrouded by a white mist.
She had a saint artifact and could be of use here.
“Someone amazing was buried here. Saintess, we can go down together and everyone else should retreat to the border. I’m sure there will be a big commotion, stay safe.” Feiyun said.
“Raa!” A white tiger made the world tremble before reaching the sh.o.r.e, turning into a fatty with a fair complexion.
Busi Butai smiled at Feiyun and took out a thick iron staff imbued with four sacred runes meaning “Heavenly Destroyer”.
This was a sacred vessel of the white tigers made by his ancestor who had pa.s.sed away eight million years ago.
His goal was to enter the blood river to gather more information.
A deafening draconic roar came next and a man with two horns appeared. His demonic energy surged while heavenly laws circled him.
He was none other than the thirteenth prince of the dragons. He stood before Feiyun; his imperious aura far exceeded Prince Tyrant’s.
The human rising stars were blasted several thousand meters away. They would have been killed if it wasn’t for Feiyun blocking the majority of it.
He channeled his inner core and with the help of the spirit vessel, nothing could move him an inch.
“Showing off so early, looks like fun.” Busi Butai stopped to watch the show.
Next came the roar of an ox-dragon. Ox-dragon Sacred Descendant and his group of rising stars descended.
He maintained his demonic form and had a green fan floating above his head.
The others were frightened by Feiyun and Thirteenth Prince. They retreated since they didn’t have powerful artifacts like Busi Butai and Ox-dragon Sacred Descendant.
“Whoos.h.!.+” Red clouds arrived from the horizon with a phoenix inside. It landed and turned into a barefoot supreme beauty - Phoenix G.o.ddess. She had an immaculate aura - clearly stronger than one month ago.
“Haha, all the strongest rising stars are here, might as well have the conference right now!” Busi Butai laughed.
“Still missing a few, Prince Tyrant of the golden crows, that black tortoise, the bamboo girl, and celestial nightingale. If this half-demon is qualified to partic.i.p.ate, we must wait for them.” Ox-dragon said.
“Prince Tyrant has fallen and won’t be partic.i.p.ating.” Phoenix G.o.ddess spoke, ethereal and otherworldly.
“Oh? You killed him?” Ox-dragon was startled since he couldn’t kill Prince Tyrant. The guy was only slightly weaker than him.
Busi Butai found this shocking as well because Prince Tyrant had learned the dao of the heavenwood. This gave him a physique that could only be taken down by saints.
Although the G.o.ddess didn’t mention the killer, everyone a.s.sumed it was her due to the existing feud between the golden crows and phoenixes.
She purposed said this to prevent the golden crows from hunting Feiyun, shouldering the consequences herself.
Meanwhile, Feiyun and Thirteenth Prince have been fighting with their auras. Lightning crackles formed above them.
Thirteenth Prince had a total of 5,400 saint laws, making him look like a G.o.d with the might of the heaven.
A vessel made of mud could be seen. The bow had the carving of a sheep’s head and the altars on the s.h.i.+p granted him an immemorial power.
“Rumble!” Feiyun felt an intensifying pressure from the sounds of the altars. His eighty-two saint laws became unstable.
He took one step backward to nullify the pressure but this meant losing the exchange. With the auras gone, Thirteenth Prince smiled arrogantly and said: “That’s it?”
Feiyun didn’t bother to press the issue because he was indeed weaker in terms of cultivation and aura. However, a fight to the death might have a different outcome.
“This is not a bad time nor a bad place for the dao conference.” Thirteenth Prince looked like a king among kings, capable of suppressing the other geniuses.
Dragons believed themselves to be the strongest of all races. The orders of an Ancestral Dragon Monarch couldn’t be refused.
Thirteenth Prince was a deified genius with the perfect physique, destined to become the next Ancestral Dragon Monarch. This was his fate so he aimed to establish his sovereignty right now.
“Show yourselves!” He shouted.
More powerful rising stars arrived from all directions, displaying their mighty cultivation.
Nine of them were true contenders, Feiyun included.
