Chapter 304 (Self Edited) – Taking Lesson from G.o.d
“Now, we have a new companion, so why don’t you study hard today?” (Satya)
Contrary to the delightful words, the feeling of dismay and helplessness filled the place. Of course, Soma, who belonged to the dismayed side, let out a sigh.
“Well, I have no objection to studying, but Aina hasn’t escaped from the confusion, alright?” (Soma)
When Soma looked at her while saying that, Aina didn’t only display the helplessness with her expression, but also with the whole body. Immediately after ‘she’ had done something in the name of testing skills, they returned to Satya’s room as if nothing had happened. Given how ‘she’ said earlier, it seemed that she was taking it for granted.
“Uhm… why me? Is it alright to be recognized as a companion?” (Aina)
“Well, I’m going to correct that feeling if you say that you can’t accept this flow, so you don’t have to worry about it.” (Soma)
“For starters, I’m not sure why I really need to be in this place.” (Hildegard)
“Well, it’s necessary for you to be here. Listen. When that time comes, you will understand what I wanted to say.” (Satya)
Somehow, Satya made a suspicious remark on purpose, but Soma shed it just by shrugging his shoulders. Although it was only a short time since he met ‘her’, he understood that Satya was really G.o.d without being told by anyone.
So, if ‘she’ had something to do, it would ultimately benefit them. That degree of trust was what Soma had for G.o.d.
“Hmm… I’m concerned when you don’t believe me, but isn’t it too much to think that?” (Satya)
“What are you talking about?” (Hildegard)
“It’s about me. Anyhow, it’s a joke, alright? I’ll tell you to a certain extent. It’s fine to entrust the matter to you, but it’s my duty to explain that.” (Satya)
With that said, Satya began to explain to Aina properly this time.
The current state of the world, the Devil, Soma, the empire and the future. Although it was a fairly simple explanation, it should be done that way because there wasn’t enough time to explain from the beginning. If Aina had any questions, ‘she’ should explain it again at that time.
However, ‘she’ might have given too much information to be understood immediately, so Aina’s face still looked confused. But she seemed to have been able to grasp the minimum necessary information, considering the hint of being convinced appeared in the eyes.
“I can’t say anything immediately because the world is too big, but… in short, Soma is involved in something that I don’t understand, or rather, you’re poking your nose into others affairs, correct?” (Aina)
“Well, I don’t think you’re wrong because I’m involved this time.” (Soma)
“But it’s also true to meddle in another’s affairs, right?” (Hildegard)
Since that statement was correct, he replied with a shrug. It was exactly as he said to Hildegard before.
This was a problem that someday it would arrive before him even if he left it alone for now. In that case, it would end sooner if he was actively involved, but there was also a vague premonition that he might miss something important.
More importantly, he had more of that feeling now. So, as long as there were such feelings, he had no other option but to meddle in.
“For the time being, it’s enough to know that. So, is there something I can do? Well, I get a lot of favor from Soma, so I want to repay it back.” (Aina)
“Heh… is that your true feelings?” (Satya)
“Is there any other thing than my true feelings?” (Aina)
“Well, I just want to confirm. Hehe, Soma-kun seems to be loved above all.” (Satya)
“Really? Are you envious?” (Soma)
Satya blinked a few times, probably because the response was unexpected, but then, she had a bitter smile. If it wasn’t in his mind, there was envy in ‘her’ eyes.
“If I have to be honest, yes, I really envy you. I also received a lot of love, but… Unfortunately, I didn’t get the ones I really wanted.” (Satya)
“Well, it’s a common thing for G.o.d. However, it’s something that has nothing to do with me now!” (Hildegard)
While saying so, Hildegard showed up a clumsy wink, but Soma splendidly ignored it. It was probably her trying to take the opportunity but she was just forcing it. After all, he had no time to do unnecessary things.
“Am I unnecessary…!?” (Hildegard)
“It’s superfluous or unnecessary for everyone except you. Anyhow, let’s start today’s lesson. The empire won’t be moving any time soon, but there’s not much time.” (Satya)
There was no objection, so ‘she’ ignored Hildegard making a noise alone, and sat down in a chair. Aina, who sat in the same way, looked at the surroundings lightly and she found it somewhat interesting.
“The ‘lesson’ means that the one we took at the Academy, right? I’ve never done it in a place like this, so it’s kind of strange…” (Aina)
“You may feel that way at first, but it’s just a matter of getting used to it. I’m sure you’ll get used to it soon.” (Soma)
While saying ‘that’s probably true’, Aina looked around further, and to be honest, she could understand Soma’s thought. Although the decorations in this room were gorgeous, it wasn’t much different from the room where they were staying. Of course, she was wondering for a bit whether she should take the lesson in such a place.
By the way, the ‘lesson’ mentioned was meant as it was. In short, it was time to learn about the truth and common sense of the world that only Satya knew. Since ‘she’ couldn’t think of a word other than ‘lesson’, ‘she’ just used the word as it was.
Still, it was a matter of content and targeted audience. It could be understood that there was such a feeling that the ‘lesson’ would be done in a more solemn atmosphere, especially when it came to learning the truth of the world from G.o.d.
However, no matter if it was G.o.d, it was Satya after all. Soma was sure that Aina would feel less discomfort later, and she would be wondering what it was like.
“Hmm? I feel like I’ve noticed something that makes me look like a fool.” (Satya)
“It’s probably in your mind. Well, I thought you couldn’t afford to waste time, right? So, let’s start immediately. And Hildegard also, have a seat.” (Soma)
“Ugh, I feel like the response to me is getting more and more complicated.” (Hildegard)
“Well, you deserve it.” (Soma)
After dealing with Hildegard, Satya gave a nod. There were twists and turns until the lesson started today, but it seemed that it would finally start.
“Then, let’s really start.. Well, I wonder what I should say about the content.” (Satya)
“You say that every time. I mean, is it a review of existing information this time as well?” (Hildegard)
Hildegard said with a confused look. In fact, checking and reviewing the information had been done in all the lessons held so far… Perhaps, ‘she’ was doing it for the audience to be aware. Honestly, Soma was thinking the same as Hildegard.
However…
“No, I’m already done with the information. From here on, I think it’s basically unknown information for you all.” (Satya)
“Hoo…” (Soma)
He was originally willing to listen seriously, but those words made her even more motivated. It was interesting to know something that he didn’t know, and that information was probably known only to a limited number of people, including Satya. It was more than enough to stimulate Soma’s curiosity, including the fact that it could be used for something.
Then…
“Well, that’s right. I’ll do that. The first unknown information is probably the most suitable for this occasion. Yes, do you know about the big gap known as the Blank Period?” (Satya)
Satya’s first lesson, in a sense, was started with such words.
