After training with Zir and for some reason spending time playing tag with Ayla, what awaited for me was “Amy’s Service” .

Surely, talking with the uncle would somehow be healing, but all of a sudden a bomb was thrown at me .

“A priest abduction?” (Hibiki)

“Yes, the woman who is ‘Selection Priest’ of the church in this city has been kidnapped . I heard a rumour that the Evil G.o.d followers are on the move this time . ” (Stew Uncle) (ED Note: If I remember correctly the Selection Priest may refer to one of two women who select the hero . )

Even though I am interested in the Evil G.o.d religion that offered an item to transform Zir into a Vampire Lord, I feel that it would be bothersome to be involved with the “Selection Priest” .

Let’s apologize thoroughly for the “Selection Priest” kidnapped this time .

If you resent me then resent the KY sister who planted an unpleasant image regarding “Selection Priests” . (ED Note: Apparently KY is short for 空気読めない (Kuuki Yomenai) which means being unable to read the situation or to pick up on the mood of the conversation . )

“That’s really serious . But, how was the ‘Selection Priest’ kidnapped?” (Hibiki)

“Yeah, that’s probably because the ‘Dragon Warrior’ appeared?” (Stew Uncle)

“‘Dragon Warrior’?” (Hibiki)

I felt an unpleasant premonition about this . If possible I don’t want to hear it, but if I don’t listen to it now, it’ll be troublesome later .

“A few days ago, a scorching dragon appeared in this town . ” (Stew Uncle)

Scorching Dragon . The unpleasant words have increased .

“Then, I heard the scorching dragon dispatched a warrior whose body was covered in armor to the Western-style building on the outskirts of town to exterminate those guys from the Evil G.o.d religion . ” (Stew Uncle)

Yeah, that actually was me . However, how is that related with the kidnapping of the “Selection Priest”?

“Those from the Evil G.o.d Religion most likely don’t want fellows that are like the Hero candidate joining together with the ‘Selection Priest’ . ” (Stew Uncle)

Perhaps the rumour has only spread around this area . I haven’t met any of those guys from the Evil G.o.d Religion .

I don’t think I need to fear such things .

“That is such an unbelievable story . ” (Hibiki)

“I see, well I’m sure the ‘Dragon Warrior’ will also save the ‘Selection Priest’ . ” (Stew Uncle)

Though I know best that there is no such possibility, I’ll join in the story with this uncle .

“About that, there’s a rumor that the Dragon Warrior seems to be unable to fight continuously . I heard it’s because of the old wounds that he received during his mercenary period…” (Hibiki)

I pa.s.sed the time talking randomly and throwing in appropriate words about the “Dragon Warrior” with the enthusiastic uncle .

The time I was able to spend relaxing was around 15 minutes .

Amy and Zir who brought along several vampires including Velgord have come back .

Besides relaxing there was another task we came to do in the guild . From among the vampires who had became residents of our village several were good at combat and so we came here for the purpose of registering them as adventurers .

Vampires in Welburg are treated as monsters . That’s something that I can’t do anything about .

However, Zir was a demi-human slave that could register as an adventurer .

This is because the influence that the Adventurer Guild wields has expanded in this continent .

Though there is a mechanism for people to register vampires who are regarded as demi-humans in this area as adventurers, I was allowed to use it this time .

With this, those who were “monsters called vampires” before, were now being treated as “vampire adventurers” .

Of course, it’s usually impossible for vampires to register as adventurers in this town .

They would be captured or killed before they reached the Guild counters .

However, after they became my demi-human slaves, there was no one to obstruct them and they could register as adventurers at the counter .

Since they have become adventurers, they were now able to use the facilities in town .

The vampires can now obtain their food by themselves .

However, the main reason why they could finish the Adventurer registration was most likely because of the color of their hair .

Everyone including Zir had black hair .

That did not mean that everyone here became a Vampire Lord . It is all thanks to the hair dye that Amy made .

“I see, so you prefer black hair?” (Amy)

After the ruckus with the vampires joining the village, that was the first line that Amy said after looking at the black-haired Zir .

The next morning, Amy appeared with black hair in front of me .

However, after thinking that there was no great change in my impression of her as a woman after she changed her hair color, she immediately restored her hair color .

Luckily it seemed to be a kind of magic potion so it completely returned back to normal .

After that, I spent one hour saying Amy was the cutest in her current form .

And then “Hair dye (Black)” was born for those who want to dye their hair .

The vampires were especially unresistant towards dyeing their white hair .

However, in order for the hair to change color when becoming a Bloodsucking Lord, the white hair of a vampire carries magic power and it seems that even if it’s dyed it will immediately return .

Amy’s “Hairdye (Black)” seems to only last for 1 day .

“Yea, although we admit that we art a beautiful woman, but thou seemeth to hast some nerve to forget us . ” (Zir)

“Hm? That voice, are you that white-haired girlie? Why do you also have black hair?” (Stew Uncle)

“That is so, ‘tis the preference of mine lord . ” (Zir)

Amy, as expected, grumbled but I ignored it .

Our business in the Adventurer Guild had finished so we joined up with Ayla . Ayla was shopping with Latia right now .

Because the number of villagers had increased suddenly, our daily necessities were insufficient .

There were three vampires, who had dyed their hair, accompanying Ayla’s group to carry their luggage .

Since Sai’s group was using the wagon with Pica.s.so, I decided to buy a new wagon .

Considering the future, I should buy two of them .

As I was thinking about these things while going to the meeting place for Ayla’s group it became somewhat noisy .

“Did something happen?” (Hibiki)

“Well you see, even though Ayla is there, there seems to be a dispute for some reason . ” (Amy)

To where Amy pointed at, I saw Ayla’s group . There were around 15 men fainted in their surroundings .

“Ayla!! Latia!! Are you two alright!?” (Hibiki)

It seems they were not hurt . Latia who was watching from the side looked energetic .

The vampires seemed relieved when we came .

When I heard the story, it seems the men picked up a fight by trying to kidnap them .

It ended up with Ayla beating them all by herself .

“I don’t think they were thieves or highwaymen . It’s because they suddenly attacked us from behind . ” (Ayla) (Darknari: for those who don’t know highwaymen are mounted robbers who steal from travellers)

The attack from their complete blind spot was easily evaded and the men who had attacked Latia’s group were knocked out one after another with a blow .

“For the time being, it is legitimate self-defense . ” (Hibiki)

Since it’s troublesome, we tied-up all the men with a single rope so they couldn’t move, and then we decided to leave them on the main street .

In this world, the vigilante corps from the Lord’s army were doing work like the police, but frankly speaking, their method of investigation was sloppy .

If it was not done well we might come under wrongful suspicion by someone so it was bad to stay in this place any longer .

We immediately left the location and headed towards the Monster Tamer Guild to buy a wagon .

Since the same Giant Turtle like Pica.s.so was available, we bought two of them .

The “lie down” this time should not be unreasonable for the turtles, so I firmly watched them “lie down” .

This time I also bought the wagon from the Monster Tamer Guild .

Last time, the guide looked at us strangely when we only bought the monster, it seems that usually the wagon is purchased here in the Monster Tamer Guild .

Since the l.u.s.ty Amy and the innocent Latia had asked for it, there was no way I could refuse .
