When Leo finally arrived at the church… the place was completely desolated, as he expected.

The colored gla.s.s from the windows stayed the same, but the decorations were all gone… even the paintings.

(I thought the people stopped coming here because of what Harlet did… but when did this place became so gloomy? …Ahh! Even the golden decorations were removed!)

It was the first time, since the incident with Harlet, that Leo stepped into the basilica.

Leo felt sorry for the golden decorations…… because of him they were now gone.

“H-h.e.l.looo∼……?”

And the place was so desolated, that no one even bothered to answer Leo.

“Maybe the new Head Priest hasn’t arrived yet?”

“You’re right… but there’s a chance that he just didn’t hear us.”

Bianca and Natalia were puzzled, the new Head Priest should be here by now.

But Leo, who kept going further inside–

“Ahh…!”

–Found a man……… sleeping behind of the altar.

Not only that, he was sleeping on a piece of spirit cloth, one of the most sacrilegious things a believer could ever do.

The man’s face was being supported by his arm and he was drooling.

“…This man is…?”

“H-he’s certainly a bit weird, but….”

Natalia approached the man, to get a better view of his face.

“…As I thought… this is Gustav, the new Head Priest.”

“This man…?” Said Bianca, pointing towards Gustav.

But the man reacted to their voices–

“–……Huh?”

He opened his eyes and glanced around for a while…… before getting up and doing a JoJo pose. (Tl/n: ……(°-°)……)

Gustav was on his early thirties.

His skin was slightly tanned and his hair was a mix of gold and brown.

He had blue eyes and his muscles were big enough to almost burst the white robe that he was wearing.

(Albert and Oscar-senpai have big muscles… but this guy is a meat wall!!!)

That was Leo’s first impression of Gustav.

But even though he’s a meat wall…… to be this handsome is cheating!!!

(The ratio of handsome men, in this academy, is too G.o.d d.a.m.n high!!!)

And as Leo immersed himself in his hateful thoughts, Bianca stepped forward.

“Y-you’re… Gustav Schneider, right…?” – Said Bianca, a bit excited.

Apparently, Bianca knew the name of this strange priest.

“That’s right, I’m Gustav Schneider.”

Bianca’s cheeks then flushed and she started to tremble.

“I-I-I’m a big fan!!! Y-you’re the living legend that killed more that a thousand enemy soldiers in the previous Eland holy war, The H-holy Sword of the Empire, The Holy Knight Gustav Schneider!”

But Leo, who wasn’t fully paying attention to the conversation until now–

(s.e.xual Sword!? He cut a thousand people!? s.e.x Knight!?) (Tl/n: Basically, Bianca said Seiken (聖剣) = Holy Sword, and Leo heard Seieki Ken (精液剣) = s.e.m.e.n/s.e.xual Sword)

–Thought that Gustav was a bit dangerous.

But nonetheless, his t.i.tles were funny, so Leo couldn’t help but chuckle. s.e.xual Jokes were commonplace in Richard, Leo’s hometown, and he always found them funny.

Leo was trying to restrain himself by sheer will power, so his shoulders started to tremble.

And Bianca, after being elbowed by Natalia, came to back to her senses and introduced everyone.

“S-sorry for the late introduction! I’m the Head of the Junior Students, Bianca von Weizsäcker. This is Natalia von Klingbeil, a member of the student council. And this one here is Leonora von Harkenberg, a freshman…… Leonora, you don’t need to be afraid, he is an exemplar knight and would never hurt you.”

“…This… is not something that would be in a church, you know.”

Gustav was puzzled, why would someone gift a painting this beautiful to the church. But Leo was a salesman, he wouldn’t give up so easily.

“This was painted, by Bernard Tannhauser, it’s one of, his greatest works! The style is, a bit different, but it’s a, good painting!”

The basics of being a merchant, is that you need to make the negative side of a product become positive in the eyes of the customer.

Leo closed his eyes and lowered his head. His purpose wasn’t to make money, but to dispose of the painting.

“…….”

Gustav narrowed his eyes and looked at the young girl in front of him.

“So… you’re giving this to the church?”

“Yes! Please, receive it!”

Leo lowered even more his head.

But Gustav was still a bit suspicious of the girl.

“Are you really going to give this to the church…?”

Natalia and Bianca knew that the church needed the money. But this Priest in front of them was probing the kind Leonora even further than normal, as if he was calling her an hypocrite.

“So this time, you intend to help the church?”

Gustav repeated his words to the puzzled Leonora.

“Hey! It’s rude to–”

‘It’s rude to keep probing a person this far!’ – Natalia couldn’t finish her sentence.

But the little girl decided to tell the truth.

“–No…… I just, want to, help myself.”

“Hee∼, I see….”

Gustav was grinning sarcastically toward Leonora, who was feeling ashamed of herself.

He then laid the small canvas on the altar and knelled in front of the girl.

“If you’re aware of that, I’ll receive the painting with grat.i.tude.”

But Natalia couldn’t contain her anger anymore, Leonora was almost crying. But Gustav didn’t know that Leonora was afraid of men.

“Gustav Schneider! You–!”

“…Hmm?”

A masculine and handsome face turned around to look at her.

Natalia was blus.h.i.+ng, but she continued the preaching.

“–To you, the offer seems to be a bit disappointing, but to make Leonora feel bad from helping your church is hypocrisy. I know you were a soldier, but right now you’re a priest and a teacher, so you need to play the part and recognize the good will of your students.”

Gustav laughed.

It was a forced laugh, and Natalia knew it, but his real intention was to provoke her.

This guy called Gustav Schneider could see through Leo’s real intention. He knew that Leo wasn’t just trying to gift the painting to the church.

Gustav then extended his right hand in the direction of Natalia’s mouth and lifted her chin.

Her whole body stiffened and her face became red.

When Prince Albert lifted his chin that one time, Leo only felt a chill in his spine, but it certainly is different to see other people doing it.

Gustav then approached Natalia and whispered in her ear.

“It’s only because I’m her teacher that I made Leonora tell me the truth.”

It was rare to see Natalia so fl.u.s.tered. Her eyes were moist with tears and her face was quite red. At that moment, something inside Leo finally awakened and he suddenly wanted to know why Natalia was acting like this.

And Bianca, who knew why Natalia was so fl.u.s.tered, explained to Leo.

“Natalia Onee-sama has a collection of romance novels, and according to Onee-sama, Ago-kui is the “Ultimate Move” a guy can do, though I don’t know what she meant by ultimate move.”

Gustav turned around, grabbed the painting and the spirit cloth, before opening the door to the inner part of the regret room.

“At least this painting will serve as a good decoration for the church.”

He then closed the door with a loud *Bang* and the three remaining people were left behind, still a bit surprised by his Wild personality.

On the other hand, Natalia, who kept looking at Gustav until he closed the door, was still a bit s.p.a.ced out.

“Are you okay, Natalia Onee-sama?”

And as soon as her name was mentioned, Natalia–

“H-huh!? Yes! I’m okay! Why wouldn’t I be okay!? Hahaha…!”

–Answered Bianca’s question really fast, trying to change the topic.

But Leo understood why Natalia was still a bit shy and fl.u.s.tered.

(Somehow… I feel sorry for her…)

Natalia always helped Leo with his homework, for free. So Leo promised himself that, if she ever needed, he would be there to help.

But there was a little problem….

And like this, after delivering the painting, Leonora, Bianca and the s.p.a.ced out Natalia, left the church.
