Hatori's worry had not been in vain. This month's progress had been going well at
first, but in the long run, Yos.h.i.+no was late as usual and only finished the ma.n.u.script on
the 17th at sundown. Hatori had been keeping watch the whole time, and when Yos.h.i.+no
finally finished, he quickly took the ma.n.u.script and headed towards the printers by taxi.

apology.”
Feeling unusually uncomfortable that Hatori was being so humble, he opened the
cake box and saw that it was a whole cake decorated with lots of strawberries.
“Wow, cool!! I haven't seen cakes like these in ages!”

nameplate that read “Happy Birthday Chiaki”.

He hurriedly picked up a fork and attacked the circle cake. It had been a while

Hatori kissed him again, cutting him off mid-speech. He pushed on Hatori's
shoulders, trying to get his face away from his, but he was no match for him. The sweet
kiss was leaving Yos.h.i.+no powerless.
“This is the second time,” Hatori warned him with an indifferent expression after 
breaking off their noisy kiss.
“Enough!”

Yos.h.i.+no managed to escape Hatori's embrace and tried to hide behind the sofa.
However, he was soon caught in Hatori's arms.
“Gya! Let go!!”
“Don't run.”
“It's cause you're doing weird things!!”
“You said you wanted me to do this, didn't you?”

He frantically argued, and Hatori lightly laughed.
“That's a lie. I just want to do it.”

His heart gave a leap at the sound of the husky, sweet whisper. Inadvertently,
Yos.h.i.+no stopped moving, and Hatori spoke into his ear as if he were holding a treasure.
