Chapter 11: This is……Friends.h.i.+p?
With a bang, the door to the room was kicked open yet again as Long Hai entered with furrowed brows, he asked coldly, “Who’s screaming?”
Chen Lei painstakingly ran towards Long Hai like a terrified little beast.
Disgust appeared in Long Hai’s face momentarily as he whipped Chen Lei viciously, scolding, “Tras.h.!.+” Before he used his feet to turn Chen Lei’s body, which had fell to the ground.
Chen Lei’s clothes had already been ripped, but his face was uninjuried, the only abnormal thing on it the purple black marks the choking left.
Long Hai was completely disinterested, he simply asked loudly, “Who did it?”
Qian Ye stood up from his bed and calmly spoke, “Me.”
Long Hai squinted his eyes and sized up Qian Ye before speaking, “Good, little boy, you have guts! Men! Bring him out for ten whips and hang him up until tomorrow!”
Qian Ye did not resist, he did not even show a hint of fear as he followed the guards out.
And after only a while, the familiar sound of the whip hitting flesh could be heard from the window. With every whip, the children’s dark memories surfaced, causing them to have uncomfortable expressions.
However, there was only sounds of whipping outside, with nothing to accompany it.
There wasn’t a scream, a m.u.f.fled scream, not even a sound could be heard. It was as if the guards were whipping a block of wood.
Even after Long Hai had left but Chen Lei was still on the ground, incapable of standing. That whip from Long Hai was not light at all, and adding in his previous injuries, it would be impossible for him to recover within a month.
The gazes of the surrounding children were all full of mocking and disdain. Everyone now knew that the skinny and weak Qian Ye was the truly vicious one. Chen Lei wanted to a.s.sert himself, but he had chosen the wrong victim for it, a grave mistake.
“Go to sleep!” The strongest child in the cla.s.s spoke intelligently.
On the dawn of the next day, Qian Ye who had been hung for the entire night had been taken down, and currently, he was so weak he couldn’t even stand properly. But even so, he stumbled to follow the morning run. And even after most of the children completed three rounds, he was still on his first, but he eventually completed his morning regime while sacrificing his breakfast time.
When night came, Qian Ye had only managed to finish half of his daily regime, it was certain that his rank would fall. However, the entire cla.s.s seemed to have collectively forgotten that fact, not a single child mentioned that matter.
That was because every child that had received ten whips would all stay in bed for the next few days, no one acted like Qian Ye did. Every movement they made would agitate the wound, inciting intense pain.
Therefore, most of the children who had received ten whips would give up, choosing to not even work out at all, much less complete half of the regime.
As it was late, every child was on their bed right now.
However, Chen Lei was kneeling in front of Qian Ye, his arms hugging Qian Ye’s thigh as he cried for mercy.
Glancing at Chen Lei, Qian Ye pushed him away before slowly climbing up his own bed to sleep.
Every other child were asleep, all but Chen Lei. He stood on the ground with clenching and unclenching fists, his face full of uncertainty.
Qian Ye had endured whipping while Chen Lei suffered internal wounds.
Killing Qian Ye now would be the easiest, but he feared the punishments that would follow. Of course, perhaps there was another fear deep in his heart, one he wasn’t willing to admit, the fear of losing to the current Qian Ye.
In this week, Qian Ye dropped half of his rank as expected, but what was unexpected was that as he was walking to his cultivating room one day, the child who was ranked number one in the cla.s.s came to him and gave him a piece of Zhu Yan Blood.
“I have four pieces of this, but I don’t need so much.” He had said.
As the number one ranker, this child had received a lot of benefits.
Qian Ye looked at him with surprise, and after thinking for a while, he took it generously before reaching his hand out as he spoke, “My name is Qian Ye.”
That boy smiled, “I’m called Song Zining.”
The two of their hands touched as they introduced themselves, though they already knew each others name a long time ago.
In this week, Song Zining gave Qian Ye a piece of Zhu Yan Blood every day until Qian Ye had returned back to the upper half of the list, regaining his right to receive Zhu Yan Blood.
Other than that, Song Zining and Qian Ye did not interact much, they did not even speak more than a few sentences with each other.
Reaching the tenth month, Qian Ye finally completed his third cycle of Force waves and used his full power to attack the Node’s barrier, while Song Zining had already ignited his Force Node two months ago.
Qian Ye noticed that the third cycle of the force waves had a strength one times stronger than the first cycle, with every collision of the waves, there would be intense pain.
According to this development, when he had reached the tenth cycle the pain would rival the pain of whipping. And at that point, it would be a mystery whether the children would be able to endure it.
It was no wonder so few practiced the higher levels of Bing Yue exercise. Not only was it harmful to one’s body, the pain it invoked was not something just anyone would withstand. But to Qian Ye, there was another annoyance. Whenever the Force waves came to his chest, his old wound would ache.
On the eleventh month, Qian Ye broke through the barrier!
The moment the barrier was broken, his Force entered his Node like gus.h.i.+ng waves, while the node itself seemed to have attraction powers, increasing the speed of the entering Force as it swallowed the Force.
After it had reached the maximum limit, a light appeared in the depths of the Node, resembling a candlelight dancing in the wind. This was the sign of a lit node.
The Qian Ye now had became a first level soldier, he was not a normal human anymore.
Once the teachers confirmed that Qian Ye’s node was indeed lit, he received another benefit from his a.s.signed resources. It was a dark brown pill that was stated to be useful for recovering internal injuries, a fast method of recovery for soldiers.
In the next month, Qian Ye slowed down his cultivation speed as per instructed and instead controlled the movements of his Force Waves to clean, nourish and temper his first Node, smoothing out the fusion of the two forces in his body.
However, his Force was still speedily increasing, and in proportion to that growth, Qian Ye’s body was also growing. Despite not even reaching the age of ten, he was already capable of lifting 50kg with one hand.
After Qian Ye, other children also ignited their Node’s continuously, and when the one year mark was met, there was a total sixty children who had lit their Nodes, leaving only three who hadn’t. And after the examination, they were never seen again.
Just like that, the second year of the Acheron Camp pa.s.sed. And on the third year, Qian Ye’s cla.s.s increased by one hundred children in size again.
On the third year, Qian Ye was now ten years old.
From this year onwards, he started to attack the second Force Node, the node at his chest. This Node was very important amongst the nine Force Nodes, the other important one being the Node at one’s forehead. In many of the training methods, this place was called Qihai, it determined how deeply could one cultivate their force in the future.
After the nourishment of the first Node, Qian Ye calmly started tackling the second Force Node.
The moving Force slowly became waves as they charged towards the Node chest. However, the moment it came near his injury, an intense pain washed over him!
This kind of pain had crossed over the limit of what humans could withstand! With a cry, Qian Ye fell to the ground as he had a seizure while blood spurted from his mouth, he had fainted.
Hearing his shout, the guards immediately entered his training room, and after being shocked by the state he was in, they carried him away.
After a while, Qian Ye was laid down naked in the room for biology cla.s.s, he was placed on the table at the podium. There was no clinic in Acheron Camp.
Only Chang Jing and Long Hai was present, Yin Ying outside of the room to stop others from entering.
At the podium, Shen Tu was moving extremely calmly like how he did in his cla.s.ses, he used all kinds of equipment to open three small holes at Qian Ye’s scar.
After a while, the old man stopped moving before he started to slowly pack up his equipment. He did not look at the unconscious Qian Ye, but instead he turned to Chang Jing and Ling Hai, “As his teachers for so long, you guys must have noticed……”
Long Hai revealed an unusual expression.
Chang Jing revealed a charming smile and spoke absentmindedly, “Isn’t it Force despoiling?”
Long Hai’s face turned uglier while the sides of Shen Tu’s mouth twitched. Even the smile on Chang Jing’s face was unnatural.
At the moment, the door to the cla.s.s was opened as a person walked in with large strides, “That’s right, it’s Force despoiling.” Behind that man was Yin Ying.
The few of them turned around in surprised, only to be shocked even more when they saw who was entering.
“Director Sun!”
It was a slightly short middle aged man with a kind face that walked in. He had a square face and looked very ordinary, a face that could be easily forgotten. This was the director Sun of Acheron camp, he wore a faded old military uniform without a single badge of his rank.
Sunni walked to Qian Ye and reached his hand out to touch his scar, a light appearing in his hands. And after a while, he sighed, “So it’s indeed like that! This child, what a pity.”
Chang Jing noticed something, “This is a child Lun Shuai sent, is there a problem?”
“What do you all think?” Director Sun replied with a question.
As Long Hai was the one that brought him here, he spoke first, “Though he came from Lin Shuai, the man himself did not leave any special instructions, he did not even ask to help take care of his life. I heard that he is an orphan Lin Shuai picked up in an moment’s effort. If there’s any discrepancies in his past…….”
Shen Tu’s hoa.r.s.e voice went a tone deeper, carrying a dark feel, “The ones capable of doing these kind of things, are just those few families, but why would they leave a survivor? It’s strange.”
Sunni laughed mysteriously before slowly speaking, “This information I know, is known by the others. Or better stated, those that should know, knows.”
HA. What a joke, friends.h.i.+p is useless, your friends will eventually leave you to translate all by yourselves, never trust them…..*incoherent mumbling*
Now that I reread the previous chapters, Qian Ye was rather cruel for not killing the girl, she was not only injured, she had to live in a h.e.l.lhole where food was so scarce they would go hungry for days. If it were me in that situation, I would rather be killed.
