DO – Introduction & Prologue

There are no coincidences?

I don’t know if coincidences exist. What did happen is I put the wrong hard drive in my bag. Deep Abyss was at home, I only had Deep Ocean on me. Whether coincidences exist or not, I believe in make do with what I have on me so I translated the prologue of Deep Ocean during break.

DO – Prologue

Once upon a time, a baby girl was born in an eastern town, a baby boy was born in a southern town.

The baby girl’s unwed mother dumped her at an orphanage.

When the baby boy turned five years old, he lost his mother.

The five-year-old baby girl had big round eyes, and a charming smile. She loved to cry, and sulk.

When the baby boy turned ten years old, he fought hard to survive.

The fifteen-year-old baby girl left the orphanage, and lived an independent life. In the mornings, she delivered magazines before school, and washed dishes at restaurants in the evenings. Her big dream was to one day own a restaurant.

The baby girl led a busy independent life. She didn’t have free time to think about the wars happening around the world.

The baby boy’s life revolved around fighting in wars around the world. He didn’t have free time to dream, he was too busy surviving.

Long ago, the baby boy once dreamt of blue skies, white clouds, sandy beaches, sunsets, sea birds, drinking with friends, eating gluttonously, and living an idyllic life like rich people on TV shows.

The baby boy wanted to leave the army one day, open a beach front cafe, and not worry about being unable to afford daily staples.

The baby boy needed to stay alive if he wanted to live a peaceful life.

The sounds of gunshots were heard, the baby boy collapsed on the ground, and someone took him to the army base hospital.

Although the baby boy was shot, and lost a lot of blood, he knew he must stay alive because a peaceful life of delicious food and good wine was waiting for him.

Years past, and the baby boy turned into a thirty-year-old man. There were countless scars on his body. Over the years, he’d been betrayed, and made lifelong friends with loyal soldiers. He saved a lot of money, but he forgot about the dream of owning a beach front cafe.

The baby girl turned into a poor independent woman who worked through school. She wanted to make money in the real world.

The twenty-five-year-old woman still didn’t have free time to find out about world news. She kept her dream of owning a restaurant alive.

The independent woman had a curvy body, it was hard for her to find comfortable bras.

At the age of thirty, the independent woman hated men staring at her natural chest a.s.sets. But she embraced her curvy body more than her younger self. She wore flattering dresses instead of baggy clothes to hide her curvy body.

The independent woman who embraced her body, had tasted the most delicious gourmet dishes at the restaurants she worked for over the years, and she saved enough money to buy a small restaurant.

On a clear blue sky day, the independent woman laid eyes on her dream restaurant. The restaurant had a white exterior, which contrasted with the bright red phoenix trees.

The independent woman inspected the interior of her dream restaurant. On the ground level was the restaurant, the second floor was reserved for families, and the terrace was reserved for guests to enjoy the view.

Although the restaurant was old and run down, it had good bone structures, and was her dream restaurant.

The independent woman rejoiced. She found her dream restaurant. She went to negotiate with the owner, but the owner wasn’t interested in leasing the restaurant because the owner wanted to sell it. But she didn’t want to easily let go of her dream restaurant.

In a southern town, the baby boy who turned into a man was browsing the internet at home because he was injured again. He came across a beach front cafe, and remembered his lost dream. He didn’t hesitate to buy the beach front cafe, and invited his useless close friend to head east to see his dream beach front cafe. Because the useless close friend had a wife who was a genius chef.

Although the man’s cafe wasn’t crowded, the beach front view was heavenly.

Since the man was born, it was the first time he owned a place, and he loved living in a tranquil location… until he discovered there was a restaurant next to his peaceful cafe.
