At last, Guan Xin Mu once again was swiped clean by Fei Jun, there was no energy left inside her, so the next day there was dark circle under her two eyes. With her backache she rushed into the company, hurriedly to swipe the absence card before half past eight o'clock. She was so hurried that she gasped for breath by the time she sat down on her chair. Her colleagues, who were eating the biscuits, were looking at her with meaningful glance, she looked around. Then she fished out her small compact mirror to look at her face and it looked indeed looked like she was ravished by something the whole night.

During the lunch at the dining hall Guan Xin Mu was lining up to get some foods, Guan Xin Mu felt some of female interns were whispering, and she felt that she was their topic of conversation….. She turned her head, indeed that several intern female were immediately silent, moreover they all s.h.i.+fted their gaze toward the bonsai near the window simultaneously. When Guan Xin Mu turned her head to the front again, their rustling noise started again. Her heart was certain that she had become other gossip topic.

Reason?

During the lunch, Xu Shuai moved closed to her, and suddenly took Guan Xin Mu's sweet and sour meatball. Guan Xin Mu asked him what happened to her, did she look anything special today? He narrowed his eyes, asked her to turn her body around. Guan Xin Mu who was clueless turned around, and immediately Xu Shuai laughed loudly.

"What are you laughing at?" Guan Xin Mu turned her head, and nervously asked, "Is there anything behind my back, is there any writing "I am a fool."?"

The several female interns were listening seriously, and opening their bright eyes. In the end, with disappointment on of them said "What? The big sister groaned, and chewed the Chinese olive, looked at them disdainfully and said: "You guys only have two to three years to dream, the time you got married it should be the time you guys wake up."Subsequently, she reminded them, "If you want to capture your husband's heart, you need to capture your in-law first. Only if you have good relations.h.i.+p with your in-law, your in-law will stand by your side, then your husband will not run away."

Guan Xin Mu frowned her eyebrows when she heard it, in her heart she thought about her not so good relation with her mother-in-law, Chen Wan. They were sitting on the sofa, chatting happily, and in front of them were full of different kinds of snacks, fruits, tea, and coffee that the whole living room's was full of sweet and fragrant scent that let people slightly strained feeling to be relax.

Chen Wan wore a very thin cheongsam, on her shoulder draped a shawl. Her hand was holding a cup of warm tea, she was surprised and flabbergasted to see Guan Xin Mu's sudden coming, however she rapidly sorted out her mood, then smiled faintly: "Xin Mu, why do you come here? Is there any problem?"

"There's no special problem, I just buy something for you." Guan Xin Mu pointed to her plastics.

Chen Wan's three friends immediately opened their eyes big, laughed and complimented her: "Chen Wan! Your daughter-in-law is really good, she remember to buy things for you, is not like mine, after married she had never buy anything for me. She is lazy, ai, it made me so annoyed with her. You are a lucky one!"

Chen Wan just smiled, and sipped her tea, then said: "You flattered me."

The maid laughed and picked the plastic from Guan Xin Mu. Guan Xin Mu changed her shoes to slippers and entered the living room. She observed three friends of Chen Wan, they looked like they are in the same age, their dress was very tastefully chosen, their hair was really neat, their wrist and neck was decorated with famous and valuable jewelry, their face was applied with light make up, it was clear that they came from high cla.s.s background.

Immediately she felt uneasy, at first, Guan Xin Mu came here after summoning her courage, she didn't expect to have many people here. Now, seeing these four of them were smiling while judging her appearance. She was feeling more uncomfortable, but still politely greeted them, then she excused herself to the kitchen for helping the maid.

The maid was in the kitchen and stewed coconut milk with snow fungus, and steamed a few dessert for Chen Wan's friends. Guan Xin Mu didn't say anything and stayed to help, she didn't care about the maid's rejection. She already lifted up her sleeve, but immediately she noticed there was nothing to do in the kitchen. The situation felt somewhat awkward same as the situation in the living room. However, Guan Xin Mu didn't say anything with the maid, she still stayed there for around 30 minutes. When th desserts were done, she initiatively took the tray to serve it out. She walked silently to the living room, however when she was closed to the living room, she heard their chat.

"Chen Wan a, your daughter-in-law looked quite obedient and good, but her hair was too short." said one of her friend.

"I've tell her about it, don't cut it too short. It didn't look like a girl, I also asked her to wear more fas.h.i.+onable clothes. But it's a pity, she has her own style." Chen Wan sighed, her tone sounded like she mocked Guan Xin Mu's lack of taste.

"What is her family background?"asked the other one.

"Her family?" Chen Wan raised her brow, "There's nothing really special, her father was a business man. At first their family could be regarded as prosperous, but after that they experienced bottleneck, and became more and more lacking. Now it's only small store."

"Oh it's like that, then her mom?"

"Her mom's history was more complicated." Chen Wan's tone became more and more disdainfully, perhaps she did it in purpose, but it may also because of her innate sense of superiority that let her to be careless when talking about someone and exposed her mood, "She divorced with her father, and remarried again. She almost fifty years old when she remarried. She held big and modern feast, in short, I couldn't really understand it. Who will arrange the remarry ceremony that extravagant that it caused controversy."

"Unbelievable, I thought at least she was from an honorable family."

"What can I do? I also don't like that complicated woman to be my relative." Chen Wan laughed coldly, and placed her cup of tea on the table," Jun Jun likes her, how could I not accept her?"

Chen Wan and her friends used the tone of voice of investigating the flavor of food to judge about her and her mother. Guan Xin Mu took a deep breath, calmed her heart, and got inside to serve the dessert. When Guan Xin Mu got inside, one of the friends are laughing and judging her, said: "Very good, very good."

Guan Xin Mu stayed at Chen Wan's house until four o'clock in the afternoon. Waiting until she finished her gathering, and sent out her friends, she said to her with a serious tone and expression: "Ma, I heard about what you guys said."

Chen Wan's face remained calm, and brought a faint smile: "What?"

"My mother is complicated," Guan Xin Mu continued, "In this modern society, things as divorce and remarried was a common phenomenon, why people who was divorced could not be remarried? Why when they remarried, they can't hold a big party? She didn't do wrong, she was serious about her feeling. She also didn't fas.h.i.+onable, but only a conventional kindhearted woman so please don't say anything like that about her in front of other people."

Chen Wan with her serious expression, said: "How can you this child too sensitive? What did I say about your mom? Don't you hear wrong?"

"I don't hear it wrong." Guan Xin Mu fisted her hand, noticed that her words was very serious. But she needed to say it, because Chen Wan could look down upon her, but not her mother. She remembered the day of her wedding to Fei Jun, her mother initiatively talked to Chen Wan. Chen Wan was ignoring her and when she was answering, she used a mockery tone just like a moment ago. Chen Wan's face became colder, and with a cold voice said: "Okay, you don't hear it wrong. I just said my stand point. From my point of view, I completely cannot understand your mother's matter. But I am your elder, what is your position to argue with me? Do want to teach me?" She is a teacher from thirty year old, this was a first time for her that a junior was indicating her wrong, she couldn't accept it.

"I don't want to teach you the basic principle, I just thought that you are wrong, you should not be prejudiced to my mom, moreover, you should not say it in front of other about your prejudice…."

"Enough." Chen Wan cut off Guan Xin Mu's word, her face full of strict expression, "To say it or not it is my own business, it's not your business as a junior. Chen Wan paled and her lips quivered, and she pointed to the boxes that Guan Xin Mu bought and said: "Take your things back, I couldn't accept it."

Guan Xin Mu lifted up her things and went home, when she was in the car, she was full of grievance. Why should she came to visit Chen Wan? She clearly knew that Chen Wan always dislike her, and looked down upon her family. But she didn't really expect her to say it in front of others, she really couldn't accept it so she spoke that frankly to her. She always a straightforward person, so she didn't care about Chen Wan's mood, she must expressed her att.i.tude.

When Fei Jun came home, he caught a sight of Guan Xin Mu lost in her thought while she was sitting down on the sofa. He came over, stroke her head, and cracked a joke: " Did you play well with mom that you felt unhappy?"

"Who told you?" Guan Xin Mu raised her head, instinctively asked then she noticed it was most idiotic question, of course it was Chen Wan called him and told him about this afternoon's matter.

"Mom said that you argued with her." Fei Jun's lips slightly crooked up, indifferently said, "She let me to teach and discipline you, what was truly happened?"

"It's true, I argued with your mom! Because your mom looked down at me!" Guan Xin Mu was angry.

Fei Jun's eyes was very dark, yet it was calm. He noticed her eyes were red, it looked as if she was received a wrong treatment. He held her hands, she instinctively shook his hand away, yet he held it even tighter and didn't let her be free from his grip. His hand completely covered her hand, his five finger's warmth pa.s.sed on her cold five fingers.

"What? You want to get angry for your mom? Ruthlessly punis.h.i.+ng me?" Guan Xin Mu coldly snorted.

Fei Jun just laughed, his laughter brought a few helplessness, said: "Let me think how should I sort you, em, how about on the bed?"

"Even at this time, you are still thinking about that!" Guan Xin Mu said, "Go go go, you shameless man!"

"You?" Fei Jun raised his brow, he used her finger to point to her chest, "If you received unfair treatment, I will do double to love you dearly. It's worthwhile right?"

Wait, did she hear it wrong? Fei Jun's word, love her dearly….. could it be, her heart immediately soften like a cotton candy, a burst of warm feelings moved around her body.

"How will you love me dearly?" Guan Xin Mu simply asked.

"On the bed." Fei Jun said concisely and comprehensively.

"Go go go, shameless!" Guan Xin Mu cursed him, but her lips were crooked up.
