Chapter 284 - Completely Wiping Them Out
However, no one came out to face them. Instead, another two strands of invisible power lunged out. In a split second, an attack was launched on three pharmacists who were huddled within the crowd of Chongyun Sect disciples.
These three pharmacists sensed the psychic power’s attack, and promptly used their own psychic powers to defend themselves. However, two of the three were merely at the Coalescing Psyche Realm. The might of the approaching attack was a hundred times stronger than what they could achieve! Naturally, the attack penetrated their skulls and thoroughly killed them.
When the Chongyun Sect disciples, who were guarding the pharmacists on the side, saw this, their complexions flushed red.
As a large sect, they originally brought along the pharmacists to make things easier after entering the Central Continent. They didn’t expect to suffer these losses before even getting there. Of the last remaining three pharmacists, none of them were protected!
That eldest Senior Sect Brother, who previously flew into a rage, unexpectedly restrained that anger, which seemed excessive and exaggerated. Rather, his expression became cold and detached, and any furious intentions were concealed within his eyes.
At this moment, he waved his hand: “Keep an eye on the Qingyun Sect trash. As for the rest of you, search for that person in hiding!”
The numerous Chongyun Sect disciples swept aside their arrogance, and simultaneously responded: “Yes, eldest Senior Sect Brother!”
Immediately following which, the Chongyun Sect disciples promptly dispersed, and searched for any and all locations that could hide a person. Just now, they weren’t able to get a clear look at the direction of that attack, but there were also only a few places where it could’ve come from…
Hiding in the shadows, Gu Zuo used his psychic power to cover himself and Gongyi Tianheng. He felt that the behavior of the Chongyun Sect disciples was a little odd: “Big brother, they…”
Tianheng calmly stated: “That eldest Senior Sect Brother isn’t really hot-headed and reckless. That act he put on before was only to make us despise him and jump out to reveal our real bodies.”
Gu Zuo thought about it for a bit, and understood. He suddenly furrowed his brows: “He sure has sinister intentions! There’s only the two of us, while they have a group of people. Right now, we’re in the dark and they’re in the open, which is beneficial to us. But if we’re too conceited about our successful ambush and go out, then everyone will be out in the open. It’ll certainly be disadvantageous to us, right?”
Tianheng faintly nodded: “That he could have a response like this in an instant shows that his thoughts are meticulous. Since we didn’t go out, he knew that we weren’t arrogant. Naturally, he stopped his act, and switched to giving orders for a search.”
Gu Zuo didn’t have the slightest good impression of that person: “He indulged his junior into doing that kind of deplorable, lecherous thing. He’s not a good person.”
Tianheng indulgently said: “That’s right. He really isn’t.”
Gu Zuo only believed that those Chongyun Sect disciples would bully women and get angry, but Tianheng could see through some of the att.i.tudes which the members of Chongyun Sect used in conducting themselves and handling matters.
There was truth in that birds of a feather would flock together, and that people would separate according to groups. The entire cultivating environment of Chongyun Sect was perhaps one where those of lower standing had to obey those of higher standing, and that people with outstanding talent could wantonly bully people with insufficient talent.
Just now, among those numerous Chongyun Sect disciples, it was natural that not all of them were s.e.x crazed. When that lecherous disciple opened his mouth, their expressions all contained scorn. Merely, this scorn wasn’t due to his lecherous behavior, but rather due to his lack of control over his own desires and his weak willpower.
However, the apt.i.tudes of this Chongyun Sect disciple were very good, and his imposing aura was strong. As a result, if he wanted to act on his urges, the other Chongyun Sect disciples would just let him — This was probably the privilege of the powerful.
Tianheng could, more or less, understand why these differences existed between the disciples of Chongyun Sect and Qingyun Sect.
This was probably because the apt.i.tudes and social hierarchies of the outstanding talents of Chongyun Sect’s Southeastern Expanse were far superior to that of the Southern Expanse. Consequently, although the weak were prey to the strong by general practice in Qingyun Sect, the numerous disciples still abided by certain rules. However, in Chongyun Sect, perhaps the law of the jungle and the social distribution that existed between geniuses were especially cruel.
Gu Zuo didn’t know what Tianheng was thinking. His thoughts also weren’t this complicated. At this moment, when he saw that those Chongyun Sect disciples were getting closer and closer, he simply spoke in a m.u.f.fled voice: “Big brother, I feel that they want to kill members of our Qingyun Sect here because they didn’t get what they wanted back then. As a result…We definitely need to save these fellow disciples, and we definitely need to wipe these Chongyun Sect disciples out!”
Tianheng replied: “Sure.”
After the two finished speaking, Gu Zuo took action once more. At the same time, Tianheng drew his bow and shot an arrow. In the blink of an eye, the low Immortal Realm Chongyun Sect disciple who was approaching the fastest had his abdomen pierced through!
Gu Zuo also showed no quarter. The next moment, he condensed a wolf-tooth cudgel — For this time’s cudgel, he spent seventy percent of his psychic power to create it. Compared to the previous three cudgels he formed, this one was several times bigger. Once this wolf-tooth cudgel came out, it swung towards another Chongyun Sect disciple’s head!
Whoosh —
Bang!
Hands pressed against a belly wound as blood spurted out. However, there was no way to stop one’s own internal organs from igniting. Soon, this person’s life force was burnt up.
Another miserable, blood-curdling scream didn’t even have the time to be let out. This person’s head had already been punctured by those many spikes. In the wake of the great power from the wolf-tooth cudgel’s swing, the entire body was riddled with b.l.o.o.d.y holes before swiftly turning into a puddle of meat paste! Soon after, the wolf-tooth cudgel disappeared.
Two people died in extremely wretched states…
At the same time, this intimidated all of the other Chongyun Sect disciples who were right in the middle of searching!
At once, quite a few Chongyun Sect disciples halted their steps, and looked all around.
This was because the attacks on the two people just now were too quick. Tianheng’s archery was extremely fast, and the dead body had burned to ashes even faster. The others hadn’t been able to see the pattern of the arrow wound, and couldn’t distinguish the arrow’s trajectory. As for Gu Zuo, the position from where he generated the wolf-tooth cudgel had been in the other direction. This further confused the Chongyun Sect disciples’ lines of sight.
The figure of the eldest Senior Sect Brother flickered. He had already arrived in front of the two dead bodies. A trace of killing intent flashed through his eyes, but a smiling expression hung from the corner of his mouth. He cupped his hands, and said: “Friends hidden in the dark, it’s better to squash enmity rather than keeping it alive. Since my sect’s degenerates have already been disciplined by my friends, it would be better to show yourselves. How about we resolve these grievances?”
Gu Zuo: Pei.
Who would believe that?!
Tianheng didn’t respond, nor did he act — Right now, the other party was somewhat guarded. No matter what action he took, any traces would easily be discovered by that person.
[Ah Zuo, injure a few more people.]
Gu Zuo silently nodded his head.
[I understand, big brother.]
Then, one would see a gust of wind pick up as another enormous wolf-tooth cudgel formed.
The next moment, the wolf-tooth cudgel swept across and attacked several Chongyun Sect disciples standing together near the rear. This time around, their reactions were very fast. They dodged again and again. Unfortunately, the incoming direction of the cudgel was all-encompa.s.sing. They wanted to evade it, but the path to dodge it was narrow. And such a narrow s.p.a.ce naturally couldn’t accommodate everyone’s escape.
At this time, those couple of Chongyun Sect disciples struggled against one another. There were three fast ones who escaped, and only a certain number of b.l.o.o.d.y holes appeared on their arms and legs. However, there were also two who couldn’t get away. One had his skull completely smashed, and the other had half of his body pulped into a gory mess. Immediately following this, they were both run over by the wolf-tooth cudgel. They couldn’t escape the fate of becoming meat paste!
Another two Chongyun Sect disciples were lost!
The gaze of that eldest Senior Sect Brother grew colder, but he promptly raced out! His speed was extremely fast. Like a streak of light and shadow, he had already arrived at this corner!
Tianheng no longer continued concealing himself to launch sneak attacks. He shook the pair of halberds in his hands. He instantly stopped the attack of that eldest Senior Sect Brother, and halted that man’s blade in its tracks.
Gu Zuo leaned against Tianheng’s back, and couldn’t help mutter another “sinister” under his breath.
As it turned out, although that eldest Senior Sect Brother didn’t discover the location of the two, he had long detected the danger in the vicinity. Only, because he couldn’t determine the specific location of the danger, he remained calm and collected the entire time. Using the opportunity of his own sect’s disciples being killed, he probed with his perception a few times, and finally locked onto their location.
Hence, the eldest Senior Sect Brother took advantage of the moment of complacency right after Gu Zuo finished killing a few people, and promptly launched an attack towards the place where the two hid!
Merely, the eldest Senior Sect Brother believed that, in order for the two to attack them from unidentified directions, the pharmacist Gu Zuo was hiding here and that Tianheng was hiding somewhere else — Chongyun Sect’s pharmacists could only make singular attacks. They couldn’t multi-task like Gu Zuo could, which misled the eldest Senior Sect Brother. He wanted to at least grab Gu Zuo so that he could draw that marital artist out into the open. Then, he would capture them both all in one go!
Unfortunately, due to this misleading point, the eldest Senior Sect Brother who had deep thoughts made a misjudgment. Instead, he came into direct contact with Tianheng. As for Gu Zuo, he didn’t withdraw the wolf-tooth cudgel any longer. He diverted his psychic power, and split that cudgel into five parts. In an instant, it became five large flying discs that were rimmed with rotating saws!
The flying discs continuously spun, and the torn-up s.p.a.ce was letting out low, buzzing sounds. The directions of the discs were random and casual, and they moved recklessly back and forth through the air. One of them abruptly moved up before descending with a loud bang. It immediately whirled through the body of a Chongyun Sect disciple — The blades were too sharp, and this Chongyun Sect disciple was directly sawn in half by it. The internal organs like the intestines and stomach all slipped out from that rupture, and splattered to the ground in a gurgling mess!
After swiftly killing one person, that flying disc stuck close to the ground as it streaked across in the blink of an eye. Soon after, it rose into the air once more, and behaved erratically like the other four flying discs.
The numerous Chongyun Sect disciples were totally incapable of seeing through the trajectories of these flying discs. No matter how strong they were, they couldn’t compare to these flying discs which weaved between one another. It was to the point that just a few slas.h.i.+ng motions would dismember them!
This kind of scene caused the Chongyun Sect disciples to panic. It also left the Qingyun Sect disciples, who were hiding on the side, extremely amazed. They swallowed mouthfuls of saliva with difficulty: “Wh-what… What is this?!”
That female pharmacist’s complexion was deathly pale, but she was still considered calm: “This should be psychic power. However, my psychic power is far less condensed than this.”
At the same time, the Qingyun Sect disciples saw the two people who had finally been forced out of the corner by that eldest Chongyun Sect disciple. They only saw those hands grasping the pair of halberds as well as the person who fought so fiercely. In their Sect, there was a low-key yet rather well-renowned secluded disciple. Handsome without compare, unsurpa.s.sed heavenly talents, and a teenager hanging on his back — This was precisely his personal pharmacist who was as inseparable as a shadow.
They had known long ago that, even though the realm of this Junior Sect Brother Gongyi was low, he wasn’t one to be trifled with. His pharmacist’s medicine refining methods were also considerably good. However, they didn’t expect that the martial artist would be so domineering and that this pharmacist was so amazing!
Not much time had pa.s.sed, and Gu Zuo had used up more than half of his psychic power to behead the still-living Chongyun Sect disciples one by one. It wasn’t that these Chongyun Sect disciples hadn’t thought about threatening him by grabbing the Qingyun Sect disciples. Rather, they unfortunately didn’t get the chance to do so from the start. The Chongyun Sect disciples had considered it, but due to those flying discs, they couldn’t get close anymore.
