This move from Dao Monarch Asura instantly shocked Ta Luotian and the others, giving him an atmosphere of greatness. Tun Ri's group, on the other hand, felt their will to fight churning.

“Self-renewing Soil. I didn't think that a minor sect like the Six Daos Sword Faction could possess something like this. A pity, there's too little of it.” Ta Luotian finally recollected himself. The earlier scene had only managed to shock him, not leave him in panic. 

Chi! Chi! Chi! Chi! Chi! Chi!

Red light flashed and the Self-renewing Soil became like blown bubbles. Again and again, the bubbles appeared as the silvery-white wars.h.i.+p thrummed to fire out scarlet-red pillars of light without respite. 

Finally, a pillar of red light broke through the Self-renewing Soil. Then, a second pillar of red light broke through, a third, a fourth and more…

The hearts of Dao Monarch Asura and the others lurched as a foreboding feeling immediately beset them.

When cultivators stepped out from the wars.h.i.+p, the faces of Dao Monarch Asura and the others turned dark. A total of six half-step Gold Immortals had descended upon this small valley. Add Ta Luotian and the Night Peddler into the equation, the other party had a total of eight half-step Gold Immortals. Additionally, 30 high-level Heavenly Immortals also emerged from the wars.h.i.+p. 

A trap? Was the other party prepared for this? Were they in trouble?

The thoughts flashed through Dao Monarch Asura's mind. Next, he gnashed his teeth and attacked before the Self-renewing Soil was utterly broken.

“Kill off as many enemies as you can!”

That was what Dao Monarch Asura intended. However, he was stopped by a half-step Gold Immortal the moment he took action. Following that, Dao Monarch Secularism and the others also found themselves entangled by the other enemy cultivators as well. And so, a chaotic battle ensued.

That said, it was obvious that Ta Luotian's side held the upper hand. Not long after the battle began, Dao Monarch Sovereign Fire became targeted by a sneak attack. Only then did they realize that there were still more half-step Gold Immortals lurking around. These cultivators, proficient in a.s.sa.s.sination techniques, were the most troublesome ones to deal with.

The enemy a.s.sa.s.sins kept attacking and flowers of blood bloomed out. Amidst all that, Tun Ri and the others roared while Ta Luotian laughed loudly.

“I have a piece of bad news to break to you fellows. When you fellows came over, the Starsource Order, Immortal Sword Sect and Immortal Slaying Pavilion had moved to attack the Six Daos Sword Faction. I wonder, how long can the Six Daos Sword Faction hold them off?” Ta Luotian said while laughing.

“Are you trying to scare us with this bluff?” Dao Monarch Secularism scoffed.

“You will know soon enough if it is a bluff or not. By the way, all of you will die today. So, whether or not the Six Daos Sword Faction is destroyed is no longer your concern.” After saying that, Ta Luotian attacked. Working together with the Night Peddler, they began ma.s.sacring the Heavenly Immortals.

“Even if we die, we'll drag you down with us!” Dao Monarch Asura and Dao Monarch h.e.l.l unleashed mutually-destructive moves. Although they were able to stop their enemies, they ended up taking severe injuries.

“As long as you tell me where Chen Feng is, I can let you fellows go right now. If you take too long, I fear that your Six Daos Sword Faction will truly face obliteration,” Ta Luotian said after killing off two more Heavenly Immortals.

“Dream on! If you have what it takes, come on and fight us! What kind of ability are you trying to display by killing off juniors?!” Dao Monarch Secularism flashed forward, moving away from his opponent to charge Ta Luotian.

The power of asura and carnage was astounding. However, in terms of combat power, Dao Monarch Asura was actually not as strong as Dao Monarch Secularism. And yet, Dao Monarch Secularism was still incapable of matching the combined might of Ta Luotian and the Night Peddler. After a brief battle, he was forced to retreat.

In the face of the heavy casualties on their side, Tun Ri's group accepted that they would die here. Thus, they simply fought on without a care about what would happen in the end, wanting only to inflict as much damage on the enemy side before they died. Dao Monarch Secularism's group, on the other hand, was different. They had to consider the circ.u.mstances of the Six Daos Sword Faction. And so, they became distracted and their combat power fell.

A brilliant light suddenly spread out high in the sky to form a dome-shaped curtain of light, encasing all the cultivators within.

“Aurora Barrier,” Tun Ri said.

“Looks like we really won't be getting out this time.”

“That's fine. Dying like this is not bad. A pity. I wonder how the Young Master is doing?”

“Fellows, since we cannot escape, let's bring out everything we have!” Dao Monarch Secularism said and a golden stream of light – like a fountain – surged out from his body. First, it formed a golden suit of armour over him. Next, his aura kept climbing until it was infinitely close to that of the Gold Immortal stage before stopping. The terrifying aura he exuded made him seem more mysterious and formidable.  The sword in his hand swung and the resulting sword light was nearly 30% stronger than before. As a result, ten high-level Heavenly Immortals were killed off.

“The power of faith!”

Ta Luotian's face turned somewhat serious. He did not think that Dao Monarch Secularism would have this move up his sleeve. Although the power of faith was not a rare power, it was very difficult to deal with. From a certain perspective, it was the equivalent of fighting against the wills of countless living creatures.

“Just the power of faith. It is still not enough to change the situation.” Ta Luotian responded with a scornful smile.

Suddenly, a voice erupted from within Ta Luotian's sea of wisdom. The voice was solely attacking Ta Luotian and the others failed to notice anything.

Not good! It's the Dark Kirin! Ta Luotian was first taken aback, but he quickly realized who it was. Although he was shocked to see the Dark Kirin appear here, he was quick to react, immediately firing out a Soul Lock Mantra. 

At the same time, the Night Peddler also sensed danger and it released an extremely terrifying roar.

But the Dark Kirin was prepared. Most importantly, the Dark Kirin was stronger than the Night Peddler. And so, Ta Luotian's body was cleaved into two before he could completely fire out the Soul Lock Mantra. Likewise, the Night Peddler was also cleaved into two.

Following that, a black line suddenly appeared. It was as though someone had sliced a piece of paper with a sword. Next, Ta Luotian and the Night Peddler were cut into four pieces each. At the same time, their life signatures also disappeared.

Ta Luotian and the Night Peddler were killed simultaneously, causing a great s.h.i.+ft in the battle. One side was delighted while the other side panicked. The black line appeared two more times and two more half-step Gold Immortals were killed.

“Void Slash of the Dark Night! That is a secret technique from the Dark Scripture. Only the Planar Lord of the Dark Plane can use it. The opponent is that Dark Kirin!” someone shouted.

“Isn't the Dark Kirin busy elsewhere? How did he manage to come here so quickly?”

“This is bad! Hurry, inform the others!”

The black lines kept appearing and the a.s.sa.s.sins lurking in the dark were all killed. In the face of this a.s.sa.s.sination technique, the a.s.sa.s.sins that Ta Luotian brought over became like children in the face of an adult gifted with a herculean body. They were simply incapable of fighting back.

After finis.h.i.+ng off the a.s.sa.s.sins lurking in the dark, the Dark Kirin stopped appearing. But over 100 warriors from the Dark Plane appeared to completely s.h.i.+ft the direction of the battle.

Within the barrier, all the soldiers that Ta Luotian brought over had been wiped out. As for the cultivators from the Six Daos Sword Faction and Longevity Clan, they suffered from serious casualties. If it weren't for the Dark Kirin's a.s.sistance, Ta Luotian's side would have emerged victorious. 

“Now is not the time to rest. Hurry back to the Primordial Mountain Range! The Six Daos Sword Faction is presently in great danger!” The Dark Kirin's voice swept over from the void and s.p.a.ce shook before a spatial gate appeared. The cultivators from the Dark Plane were the first to enter, followed by Dao Monarch Secularism and the others. The last to enter were the wounded and those that could no longer fight.

The scene greeting them on the other side of the spatial gate was even more brutal compared to what they beheld earlier. The blood energy permeating the air was so thick that it was practically unremovable. After just giving it one glance, the eyes of Dao Monarch Secularism's group turned blood red.

The Six Daos Sword Faction was under attack by an army and its immortal mansions and grottoes had been terribly damaged. 

“Kill!”

Without saying a word, everyone joined the battle, ignoring the wounds on their bodies. They unleashed their bloodiest attacks at the attacking army.

Again, the Dark Kirin did not reveal himself. Instead, dark lines kept flas.h.i.+ng out like lightning and experts on the other side kept falling to it.

In the end, the Dark Kirin became exhausted. Before he could recover, the other party sent forth several half-step Gold Immortals to hold him down.

“Will our Six Daos Sword Faction be destroyed?” Seeing their dead disciples and the destroyed buildings and mountains, some of them cried out painfully.

“Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill them all!!!” Having watched their relatives and friends die, some grew mentally unstable.

“Argh! Don't kill me, I am willing to surrender and submit to your Immortal Sword Sect!” 

Naturally, there were also those who were fearful of dying.

“Sigh! Did we make a wrong choice back then?” Dao Monarch Heavensdao was facing the siege of several other enemy cultivators and he kept taking damage. If it weren't for their fear of Dao Monarch Heavensdao blowing himself up, those enemy cultivators would not have held back. They would have finished him off earlier.

Within the 99th palace hall, Chen Feng finally concluded his cultivation session. When Chen Feng's gaze swept towards them, the variant wyrm and s.p.a.ce-time extrterrestrial creature swiftly and obediently moved forward to await Chen Feng's instructions.

Likewise, Qing Shan and Duan Shuiliu also ended their cultivation sessions and they quickly moved over to stand before Chen Feng.

Back when Chen Feng was cultivating, the two of them had continuously looked for a way to leave. Only, they were never able to find anything.

“I've spent long enough cultivating here. It is time I leave this place,” Chen Feng said.

Hearing those words, the eyes of the other cultivators lit up. It was not that great for the variant wyrm and the s.p.a.ce-time extrterrestrial creature. As Chen Feng had subdued them, they would have to follow him wherever he went. If Chen Feng could not get out, they would simply have to follow him, even if it meant dying of old age here. But things were different for Qing Shan and Duan Shuiliu. The two of them urgently wanted to leave this place. More accurately, they wanted to get away from Chen Feng. Facing Chen Feng gave these two cultivation geniuses a feeling of dread. And so, hearing that, the two of them quivered with excitement.

In the end, Qing Shan decided to take the lead and asked, “Brother Chen, do you know how to leave this place?”
