Everlasting. Everlasting Chapter 1243 Fighting The Space–Time Slaughterer

This blade of light was very strong, even containing a soul attack and pure killing intent. This was the reason why Lonesoul was unable to regenerate his arm after it was severed. 

The broad Longevity Wings promptly retracted, but the power of laws began emerging, stream after stream of them. Due to that, Chen Feng's speed rose by a notch. Next, however, he felt his back becoming lighter and it felt as though his whole body had been ripped into two. Only then did he realize that the blade of light had cut off one of his wings. It had even cut off the laws within it.  

He was terribly shocked. Even so, he did not falter. Power surged and the Longevity Wings returned to its original state. It then flapped furiously to send countless wind blades at the s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer.

“Go all out! No matter what, we must kill off this big fellow!” Gold Immortal Heavens.h.i.+ne's sword transformed into a 10,000-zhang-long astral sword and the power within him gushed out madly. After cutting the Slaughterers before him to pieces, the astral sword then transformed into a wyrm, which lunged forward to bite down on the s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer's head.

“Divine Lightning Arms of Seven Flashes!” The Limitless Disc in Gold Immortal No Worries' hand flashed again and again, releasing seven bolts of lightning. All seven were different from one another, even in colour. They then fused as one to transform into a new lightning bolt. Flas.h.i.+ng again, it then struck the s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer's body, tearing away its thick aura. Lonesoul pounced on the opening, the sword in his hand stabbing into the s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer's body. Sword energy blew up again and again and the colossal s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer finally moved. 

The instant it moved, the teleportation pa.s.sageway on its back disappeared and the number of Slaughterers stopped rising. It was as Chen Feng and the others had surmised. However, this also meant that they were now in danger. Even when the s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer could not move, it could already display such power. And now that it no longer needed to maintain the teleportation pa.s.sageway, it would be able to unleash all its power.

For that reason, the very moment the s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer began moving, Chen Feng sensed great danger. He had sensed this feeling of danger before. It was back in the East Extreme Immortal Palace, when he was being pursued by the great hand. 

However, the owner of the great hand was someone who had cultivated the Paramount laws. What about this s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer, then?

With Chen Feng's own senses and the results of their previous exchanges, he came to the conclusion that this s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer had yet to cultivate the Paramount laws. It was only at the Ageless Gold Immortal stage. That said, the threat that it posed to Chen Feng was in no way lesser than that of a Paramount Gold Immortal.

“You people are courting death!”

The s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer had finally spoken. Of course, it was just through soul waves. Regardless of where the receiving cultivators may be from, they would understand the meaning that the s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer wanted to express through the soul waves. 

Although Chen Feng had killed off countless Slaughterers, he had never talked to the other party before. This could be considered his first time. The s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer's voice contained a wondrous magical power. Its pure killing intent had undergone some changes. Due to that, Chen Feng felt as though his soul was being sliced. It was an unbearable feeling. 

Chen Feng had killed off several Gold Immortals before. He had also been spending all this time cultivating diligently, refining and fusing some more Ageless laws, devouring some formidable power of devastation and even refining and fusing with a large portion of the star core within his heart. In Chen Feng's opinion, given how much his strength had risen, he would be able to face a formidable Ageless Gold Immortal for a moment. He would even be able to block an attack from the great hand of the Paramount Gold Immortal from back then. But after hearing the voice of the s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer, a thought that could not be contained emerged from his mind. Even if the four of them were to join forces, they would still be no match for this s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer.

“Friend Longevity Celestial, the situation doesn't look too good,” Gold Immortal Heavens.h.i.+ne was the first to say. 

“Naturally. This is a big opponent.” Chen Feng nodded, the Longevity Wings flapping slowly. The power of laws within his body stirred. Due to the pressure, Chen Feng began pus.h.i.+ng out whatever power he possessed. Even his heart was beating vigorously and power flowed out from the star core to scour his whole body. 

Feeling the formidable power within him, Chen Feng grew slightly more confident. His combat power was quite strong.

“I think we should retreat for now.” The thought of retreating rose up within Gold Immortal No Worries' mind.

“Ha ha! Fellow seniors, do you think we can still escape?” Chen Feng chuckled.

The s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer aside, even the countless Slaughterers around them would not allow them to leave. The thousand plus half-step Gold Immortal stage Slaughterers will not be easy to deal with. 

“We won't be able to leave. This fellow has already targeted us,” Lonesoul said, bringing out a talisman. After the talisman burned away, his severed arm recovered and even the state of his body returned to its prime. 

“If we go all out, we might still a chance to survive,” Lonesoul said, taking the lead to attack this time.

Chen Feng was the second to attack. Before attacking, he had already utilized the Divine Eyes of Heavenly Insight to investigate the s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer's state. The result was better than expected. He was able to see some of the changes happening to the power within the s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer's body. He shared the same opinion as Lonesoul. This was not a suitable time to be running away. And so, wielding the stone lance, he charged forward. Back then, Lonesoul's sword had managed to stab into the s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer's body, disrupting its actions of teleporting more Slaughterers over. This proved that they had a chance. 

Gold Immortal Heavens.h.i.+ne and Gold Immortal No Worries exchanged glances. However, before they could rush forward, two attacks arrived before them. The half-step Gold Immortal stage Slaughterers were actually joining up to attack as well. 

Not good!

The same thought flashed across the minds of all four. They had made a mistake. They failed to consider the possibility that the other Slaughterers would join a fight between Gold Immortals. 

With this, their already diminutive chance to win disappeared. 

But they still did not have an opening to run away. Chen Feng clenched his teeth and his heart pumped vigorously. The stone lance in his hand then created a series of overlapping after-images as it flew forward. Even though the attack was fired out after Lonesoul charged forward, it managed to overtake him. At the same time, invisible energy waves also swept out from Chen Feng's eyes. This was a soul attack. 

In the face of Chen Feng's attack, the s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer revealed a look of ridicule. Next, its colossal body moved all of a sudden and Chen Feng felt his vision blur. The power of s.p.a.ce-time flowed and Chen Feng's heart promptly turned tense. Unexpectedly, his opponent's speed could reach this level.

A whip lashed towards Chen Feng, sharp and ferocious-looking spikes covering the surface of the whip. Every one of the spikes was releasing a mysterious repulsive force. Due to that, Chen Feng's charging body was swiftly slowed down. The instant the s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer made its move, it had managed to affect s.p.a.ce itself. This gave Chen Feng an unbearable feeling. Even the stone lance that he hurled forward had slowed down.

Weng! Weng! Weng! Weng! Weng! Weng!

The Longevity Wings flapped furiously and Chen Feng felt his whole body becoming lighter. At the same time, a formidable power flowed out from his body and he grasped the stone lance, swinging it to collide against the whip. 

A formidable yet resilient power coursed into Chen Feng's body, but he spun and fired out yet another attack. Although there was a feeling of pressure, it was not impossible to defend against. 

But a second whip then appeared. This whip was different from the first one. Its surface was smooth, but it was also faster. Speeding through s.p.a.ce, it arrived before Chen Feng in a flash, where it then straightened itself. Surprisingly, it wanted to pierce right through him. 

As Chen Feng was facing the two whips, Lonesoul was facing three different types of whips. Compared to Chen Feng, his situation was even more dangerous. 

Pa!

One of the whips struck Lonesoul's body and he grunted. Despite being a Gold Immortal, his flesh was ripped out and cracks appeared on his soul. 

“Cut!”

Chen Feng shouted and the Longevity Sword charged forward to strike the spiky whip. However, all the attack did was leave a mark on the whip. 

Next, Chen Feng's heart turned tense. An invisible whip had suddenly appeared before him. With a banging sound, it struck his body.

Chen Feng's experience of getting struck by the whip differed from Lonesoul's experience. A cold and sinister power entered his body. Following that, it felt as though there were steel needles stabbing every part of his flesh. It felt so unbearable that Chen Feng felt the urge to scream loudly. 

As a result, he could not stop his body from slowing down. Next, came the smooth whip. Flas.h.i.+ng, it struck his body.

Although the whip failed to pierce Chen Feng's body with the attack, it did send him flying. At the same time, Lonesoul was wounded once more. 

In the face of this colossal s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer, both Chen Feng and Lonesoul were in a complete disadvantage. As for Gold Immortal No Worries and Gold Immortal Heavens.h.i.+ne, they were besieged by the other Slaughterers. They were simply incapable of helping out. 

Back then, despite having the four of them to attack the s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer, the chances of winning had been very small. But now, the burden fell entirely on Chen Feng and Lonesoul. 

“Friend, we might die here.” Lonesoul smiled bitterly. 

“Don't say that. Even if we cannot defeat this guy, I am still confident that we can escape.” Chen Feng smiled. 

“You're confident?” Lonesoul's eyes lit up. 

“The price is very high. Unless absolutely necessary, I will not use it.” Chen Feng nodded. It was only partially true, but Chen Feng himself had no other options. He simply wanted to give them some hope. 

Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou!

The whips attacked again. This time, the number of whips increased by one. Moreover, it would appear that their offensive power had become even more ferocious. At the same time, the s.p.a.ce-time Slaughterer's eyes flashed to fire out two more blades of light, which attacked Chen Feng and Lonesoul respectively. 

Chi! Chi!

The two were struck once more. Chen Feng did not suffer too much from it. Despite the wounds inflicted by the attack, thanks to the highly durable body armour on him, he was able to stop the attack in the end. 

Lonesoul's armour, however, burst apart to reveal his flesh and blood and they began to rapidly erode away. 

“You two, hurry it up and come help!” In pain, Lonesoul shouted and waved his hand. His sword then transformed into layer after layer of countless sword silhouettes, which enveloped him. Surprisingly, they managed to stop the whip attacks. 

A sword array. However, it can only last for a brief moment. Chen Feng's eyes lit up only to turn dim. It would appear that Lonesoul had no other choice but to turn to defence to buy time. 

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! 

Several whips kept on striking the thick barrier of swords. Every strike would cause the barrier to shake and Chen Feng could tell that the barrier's power was gradually weakening. 

Chen Feng, though, was incapable of helping Lonesoul. Two beams of light were shooting towards him, one from the left and one from the right. Additionally, there were also several whips sealing up all other pathways.
